That level of communication makes such a difference when you're going through something as personal and sometimes nerve-racking as egg freezing. I also have to shout out Hasmik, the phlebotomist! She is the absolute sweetest and SO good at what she does. When you're getting blood drawn as frequently as you do during this process, having someone who is gentle, skilled, and makes you feel comfortable is everything. The clinic itself is beautiful, clean, and well-run. You can tell that this team genuinely cares about their patients and takes pride in what they do. During my most recent 90-minute massage, the therapist introduced a treatment that was never explained to me or discussed beforehand. I wasn't asked for my consent until after it had already been used on one side of my body. I later learned it wasn't even part of the massage service I had booked. I left with significant marks on my legs for days afterward--something I absolutely would have declined had I been given the opportunity to make an informed decision beforehand. To their credit, management acknowledged my concerns and confirmed that this technique is not part of the massage service they offer. However, the resolution offered didn't reflect the seriousness of what happened. When I respectfully explained why I didn't feel it was appropriate and asked them to reconsider, I never received another response. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how a business handles them. Unfortunately, what began as an issue with informed consent ended with poor follow-through and communication from management. After years of supporting this business, spending hundreds of dollars on services and gift certificates, I expected much better. I hope they take informed consent more seriously and do a better job standing behind their services when they fall short.

I saw Jackie in preparation for three retrievals. She is super knowledgeable and compassionate with an excellent bedside manner; you cannot find someone kinder than her. Each retrieval was successful and in total we got close to 20 eggs over the 3 retrievals. Fast forward to age 41 and I again visited Jackie to prep my body for FET (frozen embryo transfer). The FET worked on the first try and I recently gave birth to a very healthy baby girl. I strongly credit Jackie for a lot of this. I don't know why modern medicine doesn't focus on basics such as diet and stress. Regarding treatments, I did herbs, acupuncture and received dietary advice. If you've never done acupuncture, you're in for a treat. I've never been so relaxed not to mention all the health benefits you're getting from each treatment. I can not recommend her enough as I have done a lot of research on the topic of fertility and acupuncture is one that has been proven to be successful.

I am coming back here 4 years after my negative experience as sort of a redemption post after a…read morevery traumatic initial consult with Dr. Wilcox at HRC in 2022. I went in knowing I had low egg reserve based on a blood test. He very bluntly told me he saw an endometrioma Cyst in my ovary, and given my low egg reserve I should go straight to donor eggs. He said he would give me a shot at IVF with my own eggs as sort of a compromise to appease me, didn't discuss any endometriosis treatment or anything, and he didn't seem to have much faith that I would have success. I left there completely in shock, crying, traumatized. I ended up getting a 2nd and 3rd opinion and ultimately did 5 eggs retrievals in the last 4 years. I ended up with 2 genetically normal embryos and then got spontaneously pregnant in between my cycles without any intervention. I went on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby, then had surgery for endometriosis and now I'm pregnant with one of my frozen embryos. All this to say I do believe he had an ulterior motive to only do IVF with those with higher egg counts to have better statistics. If you have a trickier situation, I would look elsewhere for a doctor and clinic that believes in giving you a chance rather than giving up before you even start. I thought I needed donor eggs but here I am with 2 babies from my own eggs.

Pasadena location also had the best clinical team and I appreciated them more after having to go to the Beverly Hills location 2x. Pasadena location has almost no wait time, the clinical team answers all your questions quickly, and the staff always greeted me with the warmest smile. I went for 3 cycles and only got IUI once (during the 3rd cycle). Results and the journey will vary with each person, but if you are curious, I'm 31 weeks pregnant with healthy twin boys. She seems to truly care about her patients and she took the time to answer our questions. She sends follow up notes for your visits and you can most definitely reach her for anything urgent. We also saw Dr. Dooby (not sure if that's how it's spelled) and she was super personable and gentle. The doctors don't make you feel like a cash cow getting herded through the process for money. Can't really say the same for the HRC - Pasadena staff and nurse. They were pretty useless and lied to us on our first visit saying they were closed at 10 AM Sunday. They aren't closed. Their staff just wanted to leave early because there were no other patients scheduled past 9:30 AM on that Sunday. I fought with three receptionists/staff/call operators until I finally got my foot through the door. Best advice is to advocate for yourself and try to connect with someone that is not just a call center operator if it's something urgent or can't wait until the next business day. They also didn't show us how to do the injections so we YouTubed everything. Good luck and hang in there! You are putting your body and mental health and work schedules through a lot in this journey but I commend all the ladies out there for even starting your journey.

I don't know how to fully put into words what Dr. McDaniel has meant to us, but I'll try. My wife and I spent years chasing an answer that never came -- three retrievals, three failed transfers, and no real explanation why. At one point, our doctor suggested my wife try carrying instead, as if my chances just weren't worth pursuing further. I deeply wanted to carry, and hearing that gutted me. We walked into Dr. McDaniel's office tired, discouraged, and honestly bracing for more of the same. Instead, she sat with us for over an hour. She asked questions. She actually listened -- not the polite, half-listening kind, but the kind where you can tell someone is genuinely trying to understand you. During our very first ultrasound with her, she found a fibroid in seconds that had gone unmentioned through more than 50 prior scans. She didn't wait around -- an MRI came right after, then surgery, where we also learned I had endometriosis. When we were ready to try again, she noticed my tilted cervix was likely causing trauma during transfer and calmly laid out every option so we could choose what felt right, together. One transfer later -- the one where she'd stayed patient, thorough, and completely present for every step -- I was pregnant. I have never felt rushed by her. Not once. She sits back down when you have another question. She explains things until you actually understand them, not until she's said her piece. She is sharp and meticulous, but somehow also one of the warmest, most reassuring people we've met in this entire process. If you are in the thick of fertility treatment and you feel unseen, unheard, or like you're just a chart number to your doctor -- Dr. McDaniel is the opposite of that, and I will be forever grateful we found her. read more

The main thing you will love about the team is how responsive they are if you have any questions or concerns. I have never waited long for a response. I had one egg retrieval and one failed transfer followed by a second successful transfer. There are no guarantees in IVF which is why it's so important to work with a doctor and team you trust. I plan on returning to Dr. Wilcox for one more transfer as soon as it makes sense to. I would not trust anyone else.

We chose him because he had a very gentle yet direct approach when he explained the process and seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. And we were right to choose him as we were successful with the first egg transfer. We now have a healthy 4yr old. We went back for baby #2 and now we have a healthy 3 week old. What separates him from other fertility doctors is his expertise and knowing precisely where to transfer the egg so that there is a higher success rate. Lastly his team of nurses are the best! Led by Nanette, Rachel and Cynthia have been super responsive, informative, and attentive. In what can be an emotionally challenging experience, it felt so seamless and smooth as can be under the circumstances. I would highly recommend Dr Wilcox and his team to anyone who need help in their fertility journey!

From the very first appointment, it was clear she was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, and a wonderfully genuine person. The biggest thing my husband and I noticed off the bat was how she took the time to listen and provide creative and effective solutions to whatever particular symptom I was having. I felt empowered each trimester with the tools and education we were provided with during our appointments. We never felt rushed and always felt that we were in the best care possible. She gained our trust very quickly and being first-time parents, meant the world to us! Towards the end of my pregnancy, my blood pressure began to climb into the gestational hypertension range and it became clear that we would need to induce early. This was at the peak of the Omicron wave and despite the hospital being SUPER busy and understaffed, Dr. Barnes made sure we got in as quickly as possible. We created a plan together and felt like we were walking into my induction and delivery as a team. As fate would have it, I ended up developing pre-eclampsia. We felt so relieved that we had made the choice to deliver early. Her guidance made our situation a best-case scenario. In the hospital and during my postpartum recovery, she was consistently checking in, communicating with us, and providing me with the best possible solutions. She had our back every step of the way. My husband and I are SO grateful we found Dr. Barnes! We cannot rave about her enough and are pretty sure many of our friends will be heading her way in the coming years haha If you're looking for a doctor who is deeply passionate about her work and goes above and beyond for her patients, look no further. Dr. Park continued to be patient, monitoring my baby and me everyday, not forcing me to be induced. Fortunately a week later, I was finally getting contractions and admitted. My labor from the time I reached the hospital to delivery was over 20 hours. During that time, Dr. Park was actively engaged with the onsite medical staff, monitoring my progress, and calling to check in on us in the middle of the night. While other doctor's may have pushed for a C section to get me out of there, Dr. Park understood my birth plan and remained patient. Finally I was dilated enough, pushed for only an hour, and Dr. Park was there to deliver my baby. I always felt safe, cared for, and listened to by Dr. Park. I truly felt she was my advocate throughout my pregnancy. Postpartum, I had more follow up questions before my 6-week check in (your body does weird things to get ready for breastfeeding), and Dr. Park was responsive through email. I had started HRT with her and was having trouble. She didn't take the time to think about my situation and just recited every option possible option; the same information can be found on the internet. She said she would send dose altering options over the message portal, and after two requests from me, and a week later, still has not done so. If you want a doctor that actually administers careful care in a manner considerate to you, this is not the one.
