I called on Saturday morning to request service for clogged drain. No answer and was told that "voice mail box has not been set up". A lady called back a few minutes. I expanded the issue. she said she was driving and couldn't take the information. she asked that I text my address and issue. I did that and received a text back saying that some one was on the way and would be here in 15 minutes. He arrived and suggested that the sink be completely "replumbed" and said he he could fix it now for a price of $597. I agreed to have the work done. He left to get parts. When he got back he went to work. When he showed me that it was done. The clog was cleared and there were no leaks. He had used very lightweight parts (much smaller than he replaced) to fix it. The parts he used are listed at Home Depot for less than $20. I had agreed to the price so I paid him. He said my receipt would be emailed. it was not. This was Saturday and the following Monday was Labor Day so I called on Tuesday. when I got the receipt it didn't have any pricing details. It showed the work that was done and the total price. $597 to fix a clogged drain. I asked for a breakdown of parts, labor and how much surcharge for work done on Saturday. I asked if there was extra charge because of holiday weekend. I was told that someone would call me back. No one called. I paid almost $600 to unclog my bathroom drain because I approved the work and the price. I expected better quality parts and an explanation of the charges. I won't use this company again. Very much overpriced and no customer service from the office. UPDATE - September 18: After posting this review, a company representative contacted me. On September 9, he emailed me stating that after discussing the $597 charge with ownership, they agreed the rate was "a little higher than usual" and would issue a $147 credit. I thanked him and again requested a breakdown of the original $597 charge for parts, labor, Saturday service, and any holiday-weekend surcharge. I still have not received that information. Today I received notice that the refund will be $127 instead of the $147 promised in writing, with no explanation for the $20 difference. I appreciate the company responding and offering a partial refund, but I am disappointed that the refund amount differs from what was promised and that I still have not received an explanation of the original charges. read more

This company clearly does not stand behind their work and has zero professionalism or customer service. I paid good money expecting quality work and honesty, and instead I've been left dealing with stress, wasted time, and unresolved issues. Be very careful before hiring them. Based on my experience, once they get your money, don't expect them to care about fixing anything. I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. Zero stars for them read more

Working with them was a fabulous experience. It's hard to describe what it feels like when you walk into the bathroom and see a puddle of water on the floor and then look up and see a bulging dripping ceiling. They had worked on something for a relative of mine who made the recommendation and so I called Joe the Plumber right away. I didn't know if this was a super serious problem or not, and I had an important engagement where I had to run out soon. They shifted things around and sent Jimy to the house to work on my crisis (thankfully not as bad as I had first thought). He explained everything, was very friendly and was the sort of person where you can build immediate confidence. Definitely could tell he was a professional. Within a relatively short period of time the leak was located, the scope of the problem determined, and the repair made. Absolutely amazing! Definite recommendation!! read more

I would definitely recommend Joe the Plumber. I have used other services in the past and all they want to do is up-sell other services. Joe the Plumber came out on time and fixed my problem with NO up-sell. Their pricing was reasonable. Thank you for doing an honest job. read more

they were really bad did not get the job done, was not a good value either, all I wanted was to see if they could check the pipes.

They left black greasy hand, and fingerprints on my doors, countertops and sinks, broken crumbs of insulation on my attic steps trailing from the garage into my house. I realized the next day that they did a clean-out on my grass curbside, the mess was also on the pathway from my front door on their way out leaving a mess. I had to pick out wet tissue, and grime out of the grass. These people also upcharged us an extra $200+ for a toilet supply line. Sloppy and inconsiderate of how they treated my home inside and outside. I will check before anyone leaves my house from now on, sadly can't trust. Watch people that come into your home, and check their work before they leave in a hurry. Lesson learned. read more

"I paid a deposit for a water heater job that Joe The Plumber agreed to and scheduled. I called the day before the scheduled date and they canceled the service and tried to raise the price after we already had an agreement and invoice. No work was done, This was unprofessional and caused a major inconvenience for my business." read more

Was recommended them in an emergency after my water heater ruptured. Regret it because they charged me $297 to look at my setup and quote me for a replacement. Said replacement was a tankless option for $5999 for a Navien 240a system. Went with Texans Water Heaters who put in a Navien 240a2 system for $4800. So almost 300 to get a quote. They did no actual work at all. Will never use again. read more

Writing this on behalf of my elderly grandmother. There was a strong smell of gas so she called this clownshow. Showed up promptly but was not competent in knowing what a gas line is. Only service they provided was spraying soap and water on the gas fittings and found no leaks- BUT CHARGED THIS LITTLE OLD LADY $300! (Mind you this was already done by us- so we knew that wasn't the problem) I wouldn't trust them to even change a shower head! read more

We have used this company for years and always very pleased with the service. Cody is a great technician and does quality work. I highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs. read more

My husband and I called out a plumber in the morning for a tankless water heater going out that was only three years old. He left, couldn't do anything for us. I called Joe the plumber and Cody came out to our house the same day and completely replaced our tankless water heater. Stayed here about seven hours to make sure the problem was fixed. Everything was replaced and working to his level of satisfactory when he left our house at 8:12 on a Friday night. I would very highly recommend Joe the plumber to anybody Cody was the bomb! read more

My experiences with this company have always been good. They show up on time and installed AC drip pans in the attic as well as a new sink. They provide free estimates for work to be performed. read more

Absolutely a 5-star service all the way from the initial call to completion of the job. Initially spoke with Melanie, she was very pleasant and professional, booked me an appointment and gave me a quote straight up with no time wasted. Rudy came and completed the installation, was so nice, and took time to show me and explain the mechanism of it all. I paid a very fair and reasonable rate for the service. "Joe The Plumber" you are saved in my phone for future needs. Thank you. read more

Called on July 19th to get a quote on installing a garbage disposal I told them I already had the disposal. I just need it installed. I was quoted $225. Today July 28 I called and I'm ready to get it installed and now they're quoting me $297! It's a pretty straight Install but now they are price gouging. I've used them in the past and have been extremely happy, but they have changed my mind now read more

Horrible price gouging. We left a message and sent an email to be on their waitlist after the freeze. The day the plumber was supposed to come, of course, he was hours late. Then once he arrived he tried for maybe a half hour to order the parts he determined were needed to fix our tankless water heater, then told me I should try to order the parts. I asked for a quote for them to fix it and he said he'd get back to me the next day. Never heard from him, so I called and spoke with a lady who said shed call me right back. Guess what, she never did. Two days later I called and asked for her, and she said "oh he never gave me the quote, hold on". Only a couple minutes later she magically found the quote. $4,500! I asked her for a breakdown of parts, labor, etc, and this is what I got via email a few minutes later. No model numbers or anything. I asked more questions and learned the water heater they were going to install retails for $1399, so they were going to charge me $3100 to install it!! I ended up buying a water heater on my own and had another plumber install to for $250. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Joe the Plumber - Note gasket ABOVE the lock nut. - Plumbing Near Me - Cypress, Texas

Two busted pipes from the freeze of February 2021. Filled out the info on their website and was contacted the next morning. Was given a reasonable time for an appointment but, when I asked if the appointment was for a free estimate, I was told that it was for a plumber to come out and do the work...no estimate. When I questioned someone coming out to work without knowing the cost, I was told that an estimate was $187.00! They could come out and charge a person an outrageous amount and when the customer declines, Joe the Plumber walks away with $187.00. What a massive ripoff! Way to take advantage of people when they're desperate. read more

You never know with tradespeople what the outcome will be. I think that is historically a very true statement. However, I am very pleased with the quality of care, service, honesty, knowledge, and thoroughness. The plumber not only fixed the problem at the initial visit but also found another cause of the recurring new construction issue. That in turn led to another discovery which has been resolved. We are grateful for their work ethic and diligence to resolve the issues. Last, when I called for initial service, the lady who answered the phone and their in-house tech Mike, were very clear, polite, and helpful on the phone. read more

Want very reliable and professional plumbers then choose Joe the Plumber. I've been working with This company for number of years and been working with one of their plumbers Jimy Reyes for majority of those years. He is very professional and good plumber. I've always have found this company to be fair and honest and keeping their word and doing high quality work. read more

I used Joe the Plumber for a partial bathroom remodel based on the good experience my tile contractor had working with them in the past. I got a quote from a few companies but Joe's had the best pricing and came with my contractor's trust, so it was an easy choice. They were easy to work with, showed up on time, and did a great job. A month later we had a different plumbing issue and called them back. They responded quickly and we again had great service for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them and have recommended them to friends and family. read more

I had what I thought was a major issue, which turned out to be almost nothing, which was a major relief. As such, I can't really comment on how great they are at plumbing, I can confirm, however, that they show up in the window of time promised, they are polite, responsive, they are good at problem identification, and when they realize the issue is minor, they don't try to sell you on a massive, unnecessary project - they fix the minor problem. The plumber I dealt with, Matthew, was excellent. I will use them again. read more

I called on a Sunday morning when neighbors detected a leak close to backflow at our house. Spoke with Virginia and said technician would be out in under two hours. Josh showed up and tightened our issue in meter box where it was leaking . Unfortunately, mine was a quick fix. The neighbors and their feed not so lucky. Very impressed with communication from both Virginia and Josh. Will certainly use them again!! read more

Mr. Wilbert Roberson came to my house this past Saturday, 10/03/20, to give me a repipe estimate and to find a pipe leak. He did what another plumber didn't even try. Instead of just standing on the attic steps and guessing about the leak, he actually went over to the general area and dug through the insulation and found the leak. He was able to repair it in a timely fashion. He also replaced the main cutoff valve in the house because it was leaking badly around the stem. The valve had been in place for almost 50 years and it was worn out. His professionalism and thoroughness was very refreshing to experience. I'm glad he came to my house. read more

I called Joe the Plumber to have some faucets installed. I scheduled an appointment for a few days later. The plumbers Will and Josh arrived on time and I was even called approximately thirty minutes prior to their arrival. Service was performed quickly and efficiently. They completed the job in about an hour. Both guys were courteous and knowledgeable. They completed the job and it met my expectations. I rated the job as four stars only because I felt the price was a bit on the high side. I would recommend the company as their service was very good. read more

We previously used Joe the Plumber and had no issues. I guess that we pushed our luck. We asked Joe the Plumber to install a new toilet. Before the plumber left, my husband noticed the toilet and/or tank rattled. The plumber blamed the tank lid. He also said we had 7 days to report any issues. After a day or so, we noticed the toilet or tank was rocking and water was leaking onto the floor. We called to have the issue fixed within the 7 day period. The plumber came back to the house and leveled the toilet. When I noticed a charge on our bank statement, we contacted Joe the Plumber because the repair should have been covered by the warranty period. We were told that the problem with the rocking was our fault. Apparently we were supposed to do the plumber's job for him and level the toilet. Buyer beware. Please be careful when using the services of Joe the plumber. We don't want the same thing to happen to you. read more

I highly recommend Joe the Plumber. I hired him because his referrals were stellar (he's big on Angie's List), and now that he's fixed my leaky hot water heater, I can see why he's so popular. He was fast to respond to my call, and arrived when he said he would. He made short work of repairing the leak, explained the problem thoroughly to me, and charged me a fair price. I will definitely use him again! read more

Problem: Water main valve busted while I was attempting to secure the water main. Knob came out and water went everywhere! David Fernandez came to my house without hesitation at 900 at night. The scope of the job turned for the worst when one of the unions did not work. David drove back to the shop in Cypress (I live in midtown), assembled a valve and returned at 1100 pm! He fix the issue with a SMILE! He is a great guy and the customer service David and the company displayed was top notch! I really appreciate David and I HIGHLY recommend you request him for your service! read more

Gotta be the most honest plumbing company I have encountered. I am a maintenance man for 16 properties all over Houston and these guys go the distance and never complain over the nasty stuff. When it's the city's problem or the landlord's issue they back out and even call who needs to be called! We've done business for atleast 2 years now. read more

Free quote cost $87... We had someone from the gas company come out and showed us several places where the gas line outside was leaking. Called joe the plumber the same day and they sent someone out two days later. The plumber could not find any of the leaks the gas company showed us (except one inside an appliance they can't fix, which is fine) then charged me $87 to check for gas leaks again. They did not disclose that there would be a charge before checking for leaks. Not very helpful. read more

Will never use them again. They didn't fix the issue and caused more problems. We had to get a new plumber to fix what they damaged. If I could give them a zero I would! read more

Had 2 problems, water heater went out and a leak from a 2nd floor bath. David was sent out, he seemed highly competent at his job, and had a professional demeanor and attitude. He was able to replace my water heater and identify the leak (a previous plumber couldn't find). Not only was he able to fix our leak he repaired some shoddy work on our bathtub hardware and sealed up everything better than I had hoped. Above my expectations, highly recommend! read more

I was impressed with the front office staff. I needed someone to come on a Saturday and do work, and I was able to text a photo to tell them what I was needing, and they were able to come on a weekend. However, the work was shoddy at best. The plumber came to fix the handle on the master shower, and replaced one part, but did not put the face plate back on, and left a gaping hole, while charging over $400 for a half done job. read more

The guy that came out was very cocky and after tearing out our old toilet said he was going to have to re-run special plumbing or we were going to have to return our toilet, yet he tore open and destroyed the box before he looked at it all and then proceeded to tell us that Lowes wouldn't take our toilet back without a box. What a jerk! read more
