Very nice person on phone made my appt today and also greeted me when I entered today. Despite having appt for "fitting", when I entered store another customer came in after, who received hearty greeting and spent time talking about her home renovations with 2nd sales person supposed to take my appt, while I stood waiting to be acknowledged by 2nd sales person. Even after first nice sales person told her I was waiting. Was given a bra that didn't fit, at all. Person supposed to take care of my appt continued to other dressing room to 2nd customer while I as trying one on. Think because I showed up in jeans and tee, not dressed up, she didn't realize was about to drop cashola to get right products. First sales person tried to convince me to stay (she was very nice), but, was miffed how 2nd sales person supposed to help with my first time ever appt, didn't handle. Won't waste time going back. Didn't mind waiting a few minutes, but being ignored, didn't make good impression, especially when ready to make investment. read more

As requested by the store's website, I called to make an appointment for a fitting. I am not sure why I even bothered since the salespeople spent more time helping walk-ins. Perhaps it was unrealistic to expect that an appointment meant some level of individualized attention. Clearly the salesperson was more interested in the long-time client who walked in after me rather than honoring my appointment. Evidently, the salesperson doesn't understand how you get long-time clients is by treating each and every customer like they were rather than they are expendable and not worth their time. I selected one bra. Normally good salespeople will ask would you like additional items in that size or a different type. Nope, not this salesperson; because she was too busy picking out items to try on for her other client. I was willing to spend some decent money on a good set of bras. I reluctantly bought the one and really should have just left without buying anything. I will not be back. read more

Recently went for a bra fitting after having breast reduction surgery. The staff was kind, patient and very knowledgeable. So many choices and brands and not any pricier than a department store. Will definitely be a repeat customer! Would highly recommend to anyone but especially those post-operative. read more

I rarely write reviews. However, I had such a wonderful experience at Jo Karen I have been inspired to encourage others to seek out this fine establishment. No woman is happy with her body. Big or small we all feel wrong. So, looking for lingerie is painful. In my case, I am small and feel there is nothing for my frame. Happily Jo Karen seems to be committed to finding lingerie for ALL women. I am happy to say that even at my age (67) I finally found a bra that is perfect - comfortable and perfectly proportioned for my frame. While I came to this shop for a bra - I left with many other items that I found would fit - slips, panties, etc. I also have ordered some of these items in other colors which they are happy to do by phone. By far the best customer service i have EVER experienced! I went in to get properly sized, and the associate was so helpful & made me feel so comfortable! I wish i could remember her name... I went in wearing a 40D with constant back pain & all over just uncomfortable, to a 40H and sooo much happier! I feel not only more comfortable, but more confident. As it is with all larger-sized bras, they're pricier but I actually found that this place is a bit cheaper than any other shop i've gone into. And you get great service with it! I had a disappointing experience today as I wanted to see if I could get a credit for a bra I purchased. I was honest and told the manager that I wore the bra around the house to make sure it was comfortable. At first I thought it was the perfect bra, but it was so uncomfortable. A few weeks ago I went back to see what options were and advised to buy an extender and that didn't help. The store had my bra size and that's what they went by instead of measuring me. The bras are pricey and I feel like it was a waste of money. I have referred quite a few people to this shop and I would not recommend now!!! read more

I did not have a good experience here. Wasted time and money. I have large breasts..but not super large !.. and wanted a good minimizer bra. You'd think that would be simple. Well the saleswoman didn't know what to do with me. Showed me styles that were way to small and ultimately some gargantuan sports bra that cost almost $100. I bought it but it looked and felt freakish. I couldn't believe there was a less costly and more effective solution for me. Sure enough there was! I went online and calculated my size on one of those lingerie websites..they suggested a style too. Who knew there was a garden variety Bali minimizer that fit and looked pretty too! Went in probably knew what I was getting into. They are well advertised as measuring you for a perfect bra fit. They don't at least in my experience. Employee ask you what bra size you usually wear then choose styles you may like. I mean that's wonderful but where is the tape measure? The sales associate I will admit took the time and I found a great bra made in Germany. After the transaction I realize she did not add my promotional code. I mentioned it to her she honored it but added some real attitude. This place is very pricey and may pretend to be something its not. I am very glad with my purchase but will next time try to buy the same style online. For me it will be No Karen not Jo Karen. read more

This place is a wonderful hidden gem. For those who need bras of unusual size, we know it can be difficult to find stores that carry them at all, let alone in pretty colors and prints. I've found two of my most beautiful bras here, which is pretty incredible because usually I leave these stores with nothing. The sales associates were very attentive and helpful, and they had a lot of really pretty lingerie and nighties in addition to the bras. I really recommend checking this place out. read more

They don't stand by their products. A bra I purchased here a couple of months ago completely fell apart. I called them to ask about their return policy, and as they saw how recent my purchase was, they said they stand by their products and I could bring the bra in for a full exchange. When I got to their store the changed their minds and said it was my fault the bra pulled apart and they wouldn't exchange it. I didn't actually realize companies still acted this way towards recent purchases, but now I know! read more

We had the best experience here tonight. My 14 year old daughter was in need of high impact sports bras. The manager, J, fit her and determined she was not in the correct size. There are not enough positive things I can say about this shop. For years I have struggled with finding bras that not only fit, but I also like. I spent an hour at this store and the women there were more than happy to answer any questions and talk me through my frustration. What's even more impressive to me is that I ended up having a slight issue with one of the bras I purchased. Upon contacting the store the manager was more than happy to not only work through the issue with me but find a replacement bra that fit my needs. This is a FANTASTIC store. I came here for my undergarments for my wedding dress. I am plus-sized, and often feel uncomfortable in these types of situations. But the ladies here made me feel completely unease, and I did not feel judge for my size at all. They gave me many options to try on, were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. This is a GREAT women's undergarments shop with fantastic, friendly, professional and knowledgeable saleswomen. I came in without an appointment but was immediately assisted in my search for a properly fitting bra and support bottoms. The saleswoman was friendly and made me feel at ease, even during the process of being necessarily semi-undressed while fitted. The saleswoman helped me try several bras and adjusted them to be sure I had the right fit. She really paid attention to detail and educated me in the process. I am a plus sized person and was so happy to find great quality and selection to meet my particular needs. Just wanted to update my last (almost entirely positive) review. Now completely positive. I had made only one "less than thrilled" comment and left an honest, detailed and positive review the first time. After my post, the manager sent me a handwritten card and offered to address/resolve the one small concern I had mentioned in the review.
