I always have a great experience here at Lady Black Tie!!!! I came to find a dress to attend a wedding in 2 weeks and I found one yay!!! Lots of great style and colors to choose from. Definitely recommend this dress boutique to anyone looking for a dress for a special event. read more

I purchased a dress for a summer wedding and was very disappointed with the quality. The material felt extremely cheap, both in the fabric itself and in the overall construction of the dress. The measurements listed online appear to be standardized across all dresses and did not reflect the actual fit of this particular item. The dress was significantly tighter than expected, and I could not zip it up despite ordering based on the provided measurements. I also found the return/exchange policy frustrating. While I understood that only exchanges are offered, it is disappointing that customers are required to pay for shipping both to return the item and again to receive a replacement. Overall, the experience was frustrating and not what I expected. read more

We always find great dresses and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and selection is great.

I had a great experience\! The customer service was excellent, and the dresses are beautiful and very good quality\. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality you receive\. I'm very happy with my purchase and will definitely be shopping here again\. Highly recommend\! read more

Great customer service. I was very indecisive on which gown I wanted for my prom and Katherine was super helpful and answered all our questions. read more

Yesterday I accompanied my daughter to the Hudson store. I do not often leave reviews but Carrie gave us outstanding service. She was so attentive and patient while we asked for multiple dresses in various sizes. My daughter ended up buying four dress. It was a pleasure working with Carrie. She is an exceptional employee. read more

Buyer beware. This was a complete waste of money. The dress I received looked nothing like the photos and was clearly not the satin material advertised. The fabric is extremely cheap, with visible loose threads and poor construction throughout. It feels like a low-quality knockoff, not something worth anywhere near the price charged. What made this worse was the customer service. They refused to issue a proper refund and instead tried to push store credit, despite the item being misrepresented. That is not an acceptable resolution. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience. Between the misleading product and unhelpful customer service, I would strongly advise others to avoid this busines read more

Poor quality for the price .. $ 600 dress missing sequins , beads , threads hanging . Comes balled up in a bag . Not even new . Has been on the rack and dragged around the store . No pride in what they offer for special occasions read more

Went here with my mom to find a dress for an upcoming award ceremony. She found one that she loves however I was shocked at the material for the prices. Several dresses were missing clasps. The girl at the front desk was dry and dull. She did not even greet us when we got there. When we were checking out my mom asked a question and she kind of rolled her eyes a bit. Odd behavior. HOWEVER- the girls helping in the fitting rooms were amazing! They found us dresses when we described what we were looking for and they helped zip some up for us. They had great personalities and I could tell they enjoyed their jobs! Huge thank you to them! Not going to lie- we almost walked out within the first five minutes just from the girl at the front desk. read more

Terrible Service, terrible Product. I purchased my wedding dress from here. It came damaged, with both straps torn off, beading on the dress missing and strings hanging down where decorative beading was. The dress came dirty, with make up inside from previous return. BLACK TIE REFUSED to refund my money, despite not having a nother dress to replace it with and offered me only $50 pay to have the dress fixed and cleaned myself. I understand that have a no return policy, but when they can not replace an important item like a wedding dress, and send the a damaged dress that is unwearable. It is inexcusable. Additionally, they did not have a single white wedding dress in my size to replace it with. I was offered NO options so that I could purchase a new dress, leaving me without any money to purchase a new dress. Staff was rude, and refused to respond to my requests. DO NOT SHOP HERE, they sell damaged Dresses at top dollar and will not return your money even if your item can not be replaced. read more

Only thing they did well is sending out the dresses on time. Do not waist your time ordering from them because the quality of dresses are cheap. They also do not have true sizes, everything runs small. They have very poor costumer service and they refuse to allow you to chose from their full inventory when you ask for an exchange. They only offer you to pick from 10 old style dresses for you to choose as a replacement dress. They make you pay for shipping for a dress you don't even want. Obviously they do not refund your money, even if they don"t have your size or color of the dress you wish to purchase. Dress Scamming THIEVES. You are better off buying from Coco Melody or JJ's House. read more

Do not recommend!!!! While purchasing a dress, I noticed spots on the fabric during checkout. I immediately informed the associate that I did not want the dress with these stains, she explained that the transaction had already been processed and that a refund could not be issued. I inquired if another dress was available, to which she responded that none were in stock but she would check if one could be ordered or if the dress could be professionally cleaned. I later received an email notifying me that the dress was ready for pick-up, so I returned to the store. Upon inspecting the item, I was dismayed to see that while an attempt had been made to clean the dress, the color had been significantly removed in the process. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was met with indifference, as they downplayed the issue. As a customer who purchased a brand-new dress at full price, I was expecting a product in pristine condition. Instead, I received a damaged item and was not provided with an acceptable resolution. Having worked in retail for many years, I have never experienced such a lack of customer care and service, which is why I would never shop there again. Mari L- your reply that is it getting altered has nothing to do with the spots and there were more than one. It is on the dress where it is not being altered. The fact that you think it's no big deal tells what kind of business you're running. Definitely not a business people want to shop at. I have let everyone know how you do business. Horrific customer service! read more

HORRIBLE retail company! They will ONLY give you store credit and if you try to use it clearly that doesn't work so they charge you again and claim that they credited you the "refund" what a waste of time and now I will dispute with my bank. Instead of taking me for $100.00 the company is now taking $200.00. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! read more

This place kept popping up in my social media feeds, so my daughter and I went yesterday to look for her prom dress. The place was packed with people and they only had a few dressing rooms available. By the looks of it, we would have had to wait over an hour to try anything on. As it was, none of the styles my daughter found online ahead of time were in stock (these also happened to be the ones that were in our budget), and all the dresses were either $500+ or had pills/tears/threads all over them. We drove over an hour to get there but left after 20 minutes without trying anything on. Very disappointing. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM LADY BLACK TIE!!! RUN DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I spent $209 on a dress for my niece. She opened it, put it on and at the bottom was a 6 inch opening on the side seam. They will not fix it, replace it, or exchange it. TO ADD TO THIS...when driving an hour and a half to get up there, the dress my niece wanted was torn. This is why we reordered it to begin with. Let me tell you...I am a school nurse working with seniors and the word will be out to every high school, bridal party, or anyone looking for a gown. THE WORD IS RUN DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS RAT TRAP!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I would give negative stars if I could. The dresses look nothing like the photos and you cannot get a refund for your items, only store credit. Even if you want to use your store credit you have to wait 2-4 days after they receive your original dress back. If you are in a time crunch, what sense does that make. THIS STORE IS AWFUL! read more

Lady black tie had an awesome selection of dresses, as well as sizes. everything is reasonably priced. however, the staff was extremely unfriendly, and unpleasant. you only get a 30 minute period of time to try on dresses, which made the process super overwhelming. maybe appointments are something that should be considered?! read more

I cannot give enough praise for this company. I was leery to order a dress offline let alone my wedding dress. I took a chance as LBT has unique dresses that I cannot find anywhere else. Let me say the the quality of the dress and the customer service is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of using. They are fast with your order! Returns are easy if you follow the return policy. Re read it and make sure you understand it before ordering. They will not take a used dress back with stains or smells and you ship the dress at your cost. Nor should they take a worn dress. The dresses are well made. Nicely lined and the fit is very spot on to the size charts. I will be ordering my engagement dress as soon as it's in stock later this month. read more

I previously ordered the Giselle Dress to attend a wedding and I was really happy with the quality and fit! I received a lot of compliments! I just ordered from them a 2nd time for another wedding (This time I got the Aspen Dress in Emerald) - absolutely stunning! Got here on time and fit perfectly again. I will definitely be back to buying from Lady Black Tie, they have the best dresses! read more

This company is literally the worst company out there to buy formalwear from. They sold my daughter a dress for prom that looked nothing like the photo. They made her pay for the return. They will only issue store credit, but make that credit hard to use. They do not answer questions pertaining to your store credit and that is only when they choose to respond after a day or two. They do not have anyone at this establishment that you can actually speak to making it even harder if the dress you receive isn't a fit. They drug it out so long with not assisting her that she ran out of time and could not order from them. This ruined my daughters prom and has the worst customer service I have dealt with from any retailer. Stay away from this company and choose one that will actually work with you and not keep your money when you do not receive a dress. They are crooks in my opinion. read more

Workers were so nice and not pushy. They let me try on as many as I wanted and were very patient they were floating around here and there but not bugging us. Wonderful experience getting a prom dress in and out in under 2 hours and I tried on a lot of dresses. read more

These are imported dresses, similar to fast fashion options from Shein or Amazon. The sizing is Asian so my size 10 daughter needed an XL and would have taken an XXL but they didn't have it in the dress she wanted. Prices are in line with the quality. It's a lot of dresses but when you really look, its 5-7 styles in 5-7 colors making it seem like a big selection. read more

The dress my daughter ordered was cheap and looked nothing like the photo. The sizing was also not accurate but they left no time for this to get altered. As a business owner (and I also have a no refund policy at my clothing stores) I would still treat a case like this different and seeing as their staff would not readily respond to my daughters questions and requests, I would give her a refund. They did not supply a dress, she paid for shipping, they should not be able to keep the money. read more

I'm so sorry that I ever ordered from the company. SHADY. My first clue should've been the fact that no one ever answers phone. All communications are via emails. This is a WARNING make sure you read the return/exchange policy before placing ordering. I did, so I knew that there are NO REFUNDS only store credit. Now, I returned a gown ($650) on 04/01/2022 for an exchange. 3weeks later and I had not received exchange nor email explaining the delay. I email LBT. They are clueless, ask for tracking number. Dress was signed for on 4/1/22. Instead of them taking responsibility, packaging up a new dress and sending it to me ASAP so that maybe it will arrive in time for my sons wedding? No they didn't. Sizes are limited so the size I need is no longer available. They probably never had that size anyway. read more
