This Macy's is located inside the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough. I was doing some shopping in the mall and happened upon this Macy's store so I decided to go inside and look around. The store was pretty quiet and that made for a nice, relaxed shopping experience. I browsed around in the women's clothing department and they had a great selection of Spring and Summer clothing at very reasonable prices. They were running a good sale. I also shopped the cosmetic counters and found a nice moisturizer so I ended up buying that. The employees were friendly and eager to help. The store was kept well stocked and clean. I would like to come back and shop at this location again. read more

I was shopping with my husband and had one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have ever had in a business. We made a quick face at each other because the worker, Connor, looked unclean, and the smell coming from him caught us off guard. We did not say a single word to him. Connor suddenly started calling us rude names out of nowhere. At one point, he even spat in our direction. Then he said we could not afford anything based on how we looked and how we were dressed. It was shocking because nothing happened to cause that reaction except for the quick look my husband and I exchanged. The whole thing felt disrespectful and completely unprofessional. We walked out right after because no one should be spoken to or treated like that. This was honestly a terrible experience, and I would not come back. I will not be sharing a name or any identification, because I do not want to be attacked personally outside of the mall. I am unsure if the job is fit for that worker, as he clearly has outbursts. read more

If I could give this review zero star I would. I was shopping with my wife hoping To buy new clothes for my darling wife . Instead I watched the worst excuses for a worker I've ever seen.the guy Connor looked filthy the moment I got close he smelt terrible it hit my nose instantly I could see white stains on his shirt as well my wife and I shared one quick look because of how un clean he looked that was all it took for him to start running his mouth he started calling us names like a child who doesn't know respect and told us we wouldn't be able to afford any colognes because of how we're dressed I've never seen a teen so incapable of their job the whole thing makes my blood boil no one makes my wife mad the whole business should be embarrassed to Have someone like Connor representing them I will never bring my wife hear everyone should think twice before walking in. read more

Online shopping is generally my preferred method of clothe shopping, however, the customer service that Nancye at Macys provided made my shopping much more enjoyable. She did a lovely job of helping me check-out and order what I needed. It is a shame that face to face interactions at your favorite brick n' mortar store is fading away, but oh well. If i could give a negative star rating i would. Terrible interaction with an employee at the cosmetic counter during my visit this week. Came in to return a sunblock that was expiring in three months time; never opened the box after I saw the expiration date and wanted to return the item for a better date. An associate named "Mia" "helped me" and told me that I used the product and she that cant return the item. After I told her not to accuse her customers without actual proofs, she said that she'd "make an exception" and return the product. So save yourself the aggravation, order online and avoid these rude and incompetent associates who cant handle "customer service" or basic people's skills for that matter. read more

I am tellimg everyone not to go this macys. Awful! I was im the shopping mode and decided to buy my cream. I opened the box to make sure it was correct. At the orgins counter. AFTER i opened it this large women came over and screamed at me. She said i have to damage it now. I explained to her I was buying it. I went to the Mac counter and the girl said we cant ring that up. That large women screamed at me humilating me screamimg we are here to help I was not having it. I'm Brazilian on vacation in Massachusetts, yesterday I went to the Macy's store at Solomon Pond Mall in Hudson and the cashier named Eva treated me very badly. I said I didn't want to do the credit card, and she said several times in a loud voice that I couldn't do the credit card because I don't have social security. As if I were an illegal, outlaw here! Over and over again trying to humiliate myself in front of people. I have never been treated so badly in a store! It's the second time this has happened in this store! I intend to file a lawsuit against this store for not demanding respect from their customers!!! read more

I always enjoy going to this Macy's but a little customer service training would help. Yesterday, I tried to ask a question to a clerk and she was on her phone for about 5 minutes before she looked at me. Then I used cash to pay and the woman slammed the draw saying there is not enough change. OK so it ended ok a better attitude wouldn't hurt. read more

Good lord. There seemed to be plenty of people working but no one interested in proactively assisting me... unless you count the girls working at the fragrance counter. If you come within 10 feet they are very interested in helping. Unfortunately, I wanted to purchase something from a different department. I performed my online research and had my interest narrowed down to three items for which I wanted to look at in person and decide which to buy. The person who finally assisted me at the jewelery counter was one of the most miserable retail workers I've ever encountered. I feel like that statement should be extra impactful since I worked retail for a while and had some pretty miserable co-workers sometimes. I almost walked away due to her general nastiness, condescending tone, and unwillingness to let me look at more than one item at a time. I really wanted to buy the item though and didn't want to go to another Macy's and risk it not being in stock. Of course once this creature had my credit card in hand, she attempted to be delightful. Was at the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough recently and thought I'd stop in here and look here for bargains. This is one of the few Macy's locations left that isn't busy all of the time at the Solomon Pond Mall right off I-290 in Marlborough. This mall in general is always deserted and it sometimes deprives my mind of how they are still able to stay in business. Either way. This store has a full variety of departments, and the clearance stock being overstocked constantly. I continuously keep checking here since there are very few others actually bother searching the clearance for all sorts of bargains. Lots of summer sandals there too. Staff all around are friendly, especially Helen, who even gave me a coupon to use on my purchase. Something she didn't have to do for any reason. Plus, the continual difference between busy crowds in Natick and luxurious space here is why I continue to come back here. ** minus 1 star, their website says they are at "601 Donald Lynch Boulevard", but it is supposed to be "627 Donald Lynch Boulevard", according to my receipt and to the woman I spoke to on the phone ** read more

Macy's reputation goes beyond this one store and I'm sure my review will make no difference to whether or not anyone will shop there but.... I wonder how long a person has to walk around a store to find an open register? It took me fifteen minutes to find someone, to pay for a few pairs of socks. It's no wonder people steal! When I finally found someone, the woman wrote her name on my receipt and, in monotones, said something to the effect of "go online and complete the survey and tell them what fantastic service you got here today. Popped by to pick up a few things for my upcoming honeymoon. Just needed a couple pairs of pants and some neutral tops. They must have gotten an enormous shipment that day because there were huge temporary racks everywhere and piles of clothes on each register area. I was waiting on line with only two people in front of me forever until they finally called someone else over to start ringing. First she rang up my items including one that i hadnt chosen but had been sitting on top of one of the piles of clothes by the register. When i called her attention to the error she removed it. Then I used my "thank you for sharing" card for a portion of the order. She then informed me that I would have to use my Macy's card to pay for the rest of the order because I had used the "thank you for sharing" card. Then she changed her mind but it meant she had to void the order and start over. I had an American express gift card I wanted to use. She told me she didn't think they took those and handed it back to me. I told her it's just like an Amex and we should try it. Lo and behold it worked! And not for nothing because i certainly want people to be able to express themselves and feel good about what they wear but this girl was wearing an enormous pink sequined bow in her hair that looked like a costume. I don't know if this is the look Macy's wants to shoot for. read more

I'm giving a big shout out to Mario at the Macy's men's department. Mr. H and I had a night out to get a couple of ensembles for weddings coming up this summer. We asked "Mr. Andretti" (my spouse's nickname for Mario) to help us put together the the look we wanted, with the shirt and tie to coordinate with the dresses I plan on wearing. The results were perfect - very handsome and fit Mr. H's personality to a T. We were also given the sale prices that wasn't to kick in until the weekend, as long as we pick up the purchases the next day. Hurray for the price reductions! The salespeople were mobbed at the men's department, but I felt that we were still taken care of very well. I also appreciated that the boys' department had the perfect little suit for my son. And at a very reasonable price compared with the Rugged Bear. At RB, the little navy blazer alone would've put a $54 gouge on my wallet, but I paid a fraction of that for vest, shirt, tie, and pants. 5 stars go to the men's department. 3 stars for the selection and bleh service in the China department. read more

No one knows where to shop for girls size 12 cloths. Asked two people in girls. They were nice and this was their dept. it was disorganized

I know this is a simple review but i had to review this macys because it is the best one that i visited. A lot of other Macys department stores look run down, beat up, with a don't give a crap about the customer feel to them, but this Macys is a lot better than the rest around mass. As soon as you walk in you feel good to be there with not in a rush to buy something and get out type of mood. I think my experience was too good in this Macys because i must of spent 4 hours shopping with it only feeling like it was 1 hour. I went up to the mens clothing section right away and as most Macy shoppers know what they are walking into preparing to spend $$$$ so i wouldn't complain about the pricing. They got my two favorite clothing sections, Calvin Kline and Guess both of which are very expensive but i am very materialistic when it comes to clothing so i do like to buy the best. I bought a Calvin Kline plain white dress shirt for $80 and a pair of dark blue slim-boot-cut Guess jeans for $70. I know i spent a arm and a leg here but the material feels so comfortable and i know it will last. Plus it feels good knowing i bought some of the best designer clothes out there and its simple to do it at Macys. They got a lot of different brand name designer clothes and they are all laid out in sections to make it easy for you to shop. All of the employees are super friendly and it is just a relaxing atmosphere at this Macys. read more

Stood at the Lancôme counter for 15 minutes before anyone noticed me. There was nobody at the Lancôme counter. There were papers advertising a "free gift" but when I purchased the item I was told i'd have to leave the item there and come back on a certain day to get the free gift. The girl told me nothing about the primer I bought and made no effort to offer me free samples of other products. She put my primer in a bag and handed it to me. At Sephora.com you get points and tons of free samples when you buy something. Next time I'll wait the few days and buy it from Sephora.com Epic fail Macy's. read more

Never had a bad experience at any macys/ This is one of my favorite stores to get everything for the family in one go. If you are macys member chances are you swill get the best deals around. Most important of all there cloths quality is solid. I have T-shirt 8 year old which still look great compared to other cheap shirt for old navy and target which barely last you a season. I think 1 more elevator in this store would make it even more easier navigate. read more

I went to Macy's to find a sofa for my new apartment. I was excited to see that they were having a sale. After walking around for at least 30 minutes we went to find someone who could help us purchase the sofa we wanted. We went to a nearby register and asked the woman working there if she could call someone over for us. After calling the "main office" she hung up and told us that "No one could help us today" and offered to take our name and number. A whole store and not one person could help us? I found this very strange. So I called the Macys main number to order by phone. The woman on the other line "couldn't find the couch" I was looking for. At this point I was extremely frustrated and tried to reach out to Macys by email to let them know of the experience I had. Betty, the manager, apoligized and let me know that the furniture manager and associates were out for a training seminar. And offered to make up for my poor experience. Needless to say I looked elsewhere, and still could not find a sofa like the one I fell in love with at Macys. So I made the mistake of going back. Kathie was able to help us the night we went in and we were able to put the order in. There was an issue with my Macy's card (of course) so I had to get that taken care of by the credit card department and come in the next day. Today I went in to finalize my purchase. I had all necessary paperwork. I walked in and there were customers looking at furniture, but again no associates to help. I went and asked the same woman as before to call someone over for me. She again called the "main office" and hung up telling me the person who was supposed to be working "called out" and no one could help me. I let her know this was the second time this has happened to me and told her they need more help in the furniture department. I sent another email to the manager letting her know what had happened. I am new to this area and never visited this Macy's before. I was shopping in the men's department for some new pants. Found 3 pair I liked & purchased them. Even found a shirt I liked as well. With the sales & use of my Macy's credit card, the pricing was great . I would like to commend the young man that was working the floor & register Eric , extremely friendly, has multiple customers asking questions, but his demeanor made it an easy wait. Sometimes we forget what great customer service is,Eric has not . I will be shopping here again! Great job!! read more

OK so first off...I love Macy's and you ask, then why two stars. Two stars because of the service I received last night. I was at the mall looking for bed linens and such w/ a friend who is the maven of bed scaping. We were in an underlit section of the store (it was late and I think when the lights start to go out it means GET OUT...very subtle indeed), Now picture it...the well dressed display bed thrown asunder by two reckless customers attempting to mix and match pillow cases and linens.. The sales person was horrified...her jaw dropped "we have a visual person do that" as we desperately tried to explain we'd put humpty back together again. We also mentioned a Ralph Lauren displayed bed w/ Ralph Lauren comforter & Martha Stewart sheets was confusing and deceiving as the shelves next to the display bed were selling Ralph Lauren sheet sets which were the same color as the Martha Stewart ones which were on the display bed. I know right. So my love for Macy's will not falter and I will forgive it and return with my multiple coupons during the multiple sales to maximize my mulitple savings.... as most of my shopping experiences have been truly pleasant... read more
