I've been here a few times recently and have always been treated well. The store has a good selection, and I like that I can order online and pick up at store. Had such a wonderful experience shopping with my daughter in this store!! Loved how easy it was to find items in the store and it was sized and super easy to comb through. Employees let me know of the sales right away but it didn't feel too pushy. They were also polite and helpful in the fitting rooms and went to get different sizes so we didn't have to search for items ourselves. I felt like they were honest in their opinions about styles I tried on and were thoughtful in picking out some items for me that were flattering and just what I was looking for! And to top it off, I was able to use my loft cash coupons in addition to 50% off my purchase! Great deal and great experience! read more

Very strange experience. A few weeks ago, I bought my very first LOFT items online, and, having just lost some weight, several things were too big and so I needed to return them. The cashier looked at my items and said they looked "strange." And "You really should come in to try things on." There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding in this store about e-commerce (and about customer service). If the store wants people to buy online, then I suggest they handle returns more graciously. I have not been to other LOFT locations, but did go to the LOFT Outlet at Assembly Square and had a great experience there. I guess the cheaper, previous season stuff is what this retailer wants to sell. Good to know. read more

Let me start out by saying I LOVE LOFT. I absolutely ADORE the company and all the clothing, it's great. Great quality, great sale prices, amazing Petites section. The Acton employees, however, are subpar. I came in and was not greeted. I perused the store for awhile and found some stuff I wanted to try on. I stood near the dressing room for a good five minutes, watching all of the employees chit chat by the register. I just went in and tried the stuff on without "permission," which I hope was OK! But come on, 3 of you near the register and no help? I then noticed multiple customers asking about a sale they thought may be going on. They were all asking if LOFT was having a "40% off your entire purchase" sale. The girls at the register barked that only sale items were 40% off. I noticed a sign that must have been left by accident that said "40% off your entire purchase" instead of "40% off sale items" like it should have. I politely pointed it out to a girl who was no more than 18- she stared at me and goes, "what?" Basic customer service tip- NEVER say that! It sounds so rude. Then finally, an absolutely adorable, energetic, and helpful blonde girl in her late 20s came out and thanked me for noticing and went to fix it immediately. We talked to for awhile; she is the exception to my bad experiences there. She embodies what a LOFT employee should be like, hire more people like her, LOFT Acton! Additionally, I wanted to exchange a pair of pants for a different color after I got home. I called and they refused to check if they had the tan ones in my size. I love Loft and buy from the Natick store and online often. This location is closest to home, so I go in whenever I am also headed to Trader Joe's...and every single time I regret it. Today a woman was working and loudly humming/whistling to the music while the man working was speaking across the store to another associate about what they needed to do tonight and how much he didn't like the weather and blah, blah, hahaha... All of which was extremely annoying but not a deal breaker. The real problem is that there are always more people working than shopping and no one offers to help or even makes eye contact. The drive to Natick is worth it. read more

I have found the women who work at the Acton, MA location have been consistently snobby and unhelpful. A smile or a friendly look shouldn't be too much to expect, should it, ladies? I love Loft clothing and I wear it quite a bit, but I now order my stuff online or drive to Burlington since the workers in Acton seem too caught up in themselves or the displays to be helpful. They should remember that they work in a store where customers are looking for a pleasant and easy shopping experience rather than eying people up and down when they walk in and acting like it's taking away from their day to come to the register. Terrible customer service. 4 employees, including a manager. I had to ask for help. No one offered to start a dressing room. All employees chatting, but couldn't be bothered to help. I mentioned I was disappointed and Howard, the manager said " sorry". He really couldn't have cared less. It seems the objective is to sell clothes, however, this doesn't seem to be the case at this store. I can imagine that Loft would appreciate and expect more from the manager. read more

It's ridiculous that nothing has been done to fix this location. It is the quickest Loft for me to get to, so I will often use it for online orders or returns. The dude that runs the place is ridiculous. I have never seen him actually working. Yesterday he called another store about an issue he was having opening credit card accounts and he was so loud it was obnoxious. He then proceeded to talk about how he didn't have anything to wear to a party and blah, blah, blah. I was as far away as I could be from him and I heard every word. Beyond their most problematic employee, no one in this store ever asks if they can help you. They don't even make eye contact. I get it, you are busy steaming something...to busy for actual sales. read more

Terrible customer service. I shop at this location since it is close to me. Most of sale associates are nice. However One of the sale associates named Martha is so rude and doesn't have any patience and yelled to customers. As a sale associate, She should know all the customers are expecting a pleasant and easy shopping experience. This makes me to think shopping at other loft locations. read more

I was extremely unhappy with my experience at this store today. Normally I purchase in store and have no need for returns. However, recently, due to an online sale, I mail ordered some items from Ann Taylor and Loft. Of course, some items did not fit or flatter me so I returned a couple of items at both Ann Taylor (Burlington) and Loft (here). Even though I had the receipt for the items and had used my LOFT CREDIT CARD, the sales lady asked for my driver's license, which I did hand over. However, I recalled that my Ann Taylor return in Burlington did not ask for my driver's license. I began to wonder why my driver license was even required given that I had the receipt and even used the store's credit card for the purchase! The sales lady was very unhelpful. I couldn't tell if this was just poor store policy (as in the old days where social security numbers were freely asked for) or if I was targeted for some reason (perhaps they didn't like Asians) - since Ann Taylor/Burlington did not ask for any ID. I left very unhappy and angry with my experience. So, I then called my sister, who frequently shops at Loft and Ann Taylor. She told me she is never asked for a driver license for returns, but of course, she has never shopped at this particular store. You can be sure that I will never shop at this Loft store, even though it's so close to me. I can understand the need for ID when returning items without a receipt, but I had one with my HOME ADDRESS on the receipt and I had even used their credit card. Policies need to make sense. I am a good customer and shouldn't have to feel as if I was a criminal (as the last reviewer mentioned) or wonder if racism played a role. read more

Well, the service is not at all what I expect it to be. A bit snobbish - not 'delighting' the clients at all. They make you feel like a criminal when you return something WITH a receipt. I'd rather drive out of my way and go to the location in Boston or Cambridge. Shame on the management team for not setting an example of excellent customer service. read more

I shopped there pretty regularly for my daughter. We bought an expensive shirt and she decided she didn't want it. A few days later, I brought it back, tags on , in the bag with my receipt . I was asked to produce my license and to have it scanned as part of the return process? I was a bit taken aback, since I wanted to know what information they scanned and why? They handed me a number to call (clearly I was calling another country and they were clueless) , they didn't know and just kept saying its policy and we can't accept returns without it. I asked for their corporate number and they didn't have that either and said check the website. Then they said, well it's clearly written on the receipt. However, this is handed to you after the transaction is made, so you don't have a choice! I'm all set, I work too hard and will take my busier as elsewhere. The quality is low , prices are high.
