Customer service is horrible. Every time I've gone in the owner was so unfriendly, and if I asked a question it was as if I was bothering here. Last week I dropped $250 in there, the young girl didn't remind me to put my phone # in there to start the transaction so that I'd get my points. She said she'd follow up with the owner which she never did. I stopped in today, another worker checked to see if my points had been input, sure enough they weren't. Owner calls me not understanding what the problem is and asking why she needed to call me; I clearly stated what had transpired, she says "I dont know what you're talking about you're points are in there". So rude, told her I'd shop elsewhere for the consistent horrible customer service and she laughed at me!" So much for supporting local, I'm back to buying online and other small businesses in Maynard, and beyond! read more

I've had two sub-par experiences here this spring. The first was back in early March when I went into the store to see the styles of clothing they sell (in preparation for deciding which items I should consign). I agree with the couple of other reviewers who said that the store employees do not greet or otherwise say hello to customers. Not a great experience. Despite this poor first impression, I decided to bring items in for consignment here (that was my first mistake, I admit. Should have gone with my gut and not done that.) Oh and one thing of note: they say they will consign items at 25-30% of the MSRP (retail) price, but a pair of Paul Green suede heels I brought in, worn once, retail price $300 were priced at $50 (17% of MSRP). The MSRP they listed online was $133 (wrong)! Don't expect your items to be researched by the staff so that an accurate price will be assigned to it. When I was trying to contact the store to retrieve my unsold consignment items at the end of my 60-day consignment period, we'll that's when things became very difficult and unprofessional. I called three times on three different days when the store was supposed to be open, and no one answered and the calls went to VM. I also tried going by the store on a Friday at 11:30 am to speak to someone, (again, the store should have been open) but the store was closed. When on the fourth call attempt I did get someone on the phone, I was told she could not help me and to call back tomorrow. A little aggravated to be told this on my fourth call attempt, I firmly asked that the person take a message for the manager so that I could arrange to pick up my unsold items. Later that day I received a very aggressive and rude email message from the store's owner and manager, Rachael Bankey... who told me not to "yell" at her employees (which I didn't) and to call during business hours (which I did). The way this store operates is messed up - I had to call four times and make two in-person trips to the store at the end of my consignment period, and this is not rocket-science, it should not take this much effort to end a relationship with a consignment store. And to be treated like crap by the store's owner? - well no wonder you don't get good customer service here, considering that the owner is training her employees. Never again will I step foot in this store. A miserable experience. read more

I agree with other reviewers as they lack customer service, which, after Covid sales lull, I imagine most stores need business, as opposed to reject patrons. The ears, cheeks and nose pierced young clerk failed to give us eye contact upon our arrival. When we asked questions about three items, the response was monosyllabic and apathetic. other shops in this chain greet customers with friendliness and encourage shoppers to inquire look around and purchase -not this one. read more

This store deserves more than a five star review. I don't think I've ever escaped from a visit without new to me items. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and they go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need. I've also consigned well over 100 items at this location and have enjoyed ever interaction I've had. I highly recommend this consignment shop (read - this is a higher end shop, NOT a thrift shop). Even with consigned items that don't sell, the store owner donates the clothing and accessories to a worthy charity. I'm so glad I found raspberry beret! read more

Great shopping in this light airy store. Quiet style of the staff helped with the enjoyment. Bought some great vintage and modern summer styles. Got some good bargains on spring and fall sweaters. Everything is arranged by color... really pretty! Drop by and browse - you won't be sorry. read more

I love shopping at vintage & consignment shops -- they just don't make things like they used to and Raspberry Beret's buyers have a great eye for classic pieces, basic items, and pieces with a little funk. Amazing new vintage/consignment store in Maynard. RB carries clothes that have a flair of urban that fits well in this little mill town. I've bought a great bag crafted from belts, a vintage fox hat, summer clothes, a GORGEOUS spring coat all at great price. All items are in pristine condition. The sales staff will help you coordinate outfits, and offer advice on what works and doesnt...honestly and nicely. Good rotation on clothes. Definitely check it out. read more

I concur with Emma K.'s review. I work nearby and have stopped into this store a few times on my lunch break. I am giving 2 stars because I have found a few cute items there. However, each time I have visited this store, the staff has been extremely rude and condescending. The staff completely ignores the customer and, since their computer monitor is in clear view, I can see that they're on their facebooks or other social media accounts. Also, whenever I have asked questions they give responses with a major attitude. Not sure why they think their customers are so beneath them. Perhaps they need to be reminded that they work in a consignment store, not on Rodeo Drive. read more

This store had potential, but the customer service needs some serious work. I was not greeted when I came in, and the employee had her back to us the entire time we were browsing, while she was carrying on a whispering conversation with a friend. I was even more put off when the friend stated they would "never buy anything" from the store, to which the employee giggled. For such a small store, more effort should be put into helping the customer. Needless to say, I left empty handed. read more

Cute local shop for regular used clothes at good prices, but not as "high end" as their website leads you to believe. Just brought a few things there to consign. I read their consignment guidelines which emphasizes that they only accept "high end" labels. I don't think the staff knows clothing, as they rejected sweaters from Chloe, Malo and Marc Jacobs claiming they were for fall, even though they were definitely Spring season: all cotton and in light colors. When I looked around the majority of the labels in the shop were Gap, Levi's, J.Crew, H&M, and the like. I wonder if they know how to price these items accordingly. It's a cute store, but I'll be bringing my higher end clothing elsewhere. read more
