I've made a few visits to Bijoux Jewelers in Acton. I am an Acton resident, who has used their expertise 5 years ago, in the sale of Estate Jewlery. Recently, I have required their knowledge with regard to more family heirlooms. Jeannie and one of their resident appraisers were so very helpful in appraising the family Jewlery, which is difficult after my loss. My brother who lived in Acton recommended this establishment to me. It was a very helpful and appropriate recommendation. I stepped into this shop on a whim leading up to my wedding & found the wedding band of my dreams. The experience as a whole was lovely- I chatted with 3 different people in the shop including the owner, who were all so warm, friendly & genuine. The kind of people who remember you when you go back in, ask you to come back to share photos & mean it. I was worried about the band being a bit rough on my fingers due to the prong setting all the way around, so they softened it a bit for me & after a wearing it for a little I found it to be very comfortable. Their price was also very fair- I had looked at similar things online that were around the same cost or higher, so feel as though I got great value & a lovely experience. A good to know- they have an 'estate' section that is fantastic- so many stunning, unique, pieces! read more

Worst experience I've ever had in a jewellery store. Should have paid more attention to the negative reviews - someone on Google had an almost identical wretched experience. Went for a simple engagement ring resize. The man working there started questioning and arguing how much the ring was worth right in front of my fiancée. Beyond mortified. He suggested (repeatedly!) that if I didn't like it, I should have told her to leave the store. Or, as a fun alternative, I should have come without her to get her ring measured and resized (the fact that her finger physically needed to be there to be measured is only a minor detail I guess). In my fiancée's words afterward "how could a person be so terrible? I now associate my engagement ring with this horrible experience". We are both devastated, and deeply regret ever setting foot in this place. read more

I left off two rings that had some big issues with prongs and one had lost a small diamond. they repaired and they did a lovely job on both of them... their prices seemed fair and I will be back with my 3rd ring. They seemed to really be experienced as well. Very happy! read more

I needed to find some rings for my wedding. I purchased a ring that was later found to be defective. The owner used a loophole in their return policy to deny me a refund. My wedding was ruined. On top of that the owner implied that because I was Black, I was trying to get over on him. I have never been treated this way as a consumer ever. read more

My previous review of Boston Bijoux was deleted by Yelp at the request of the business owner. I was informed that I had not been explicit in describing the experience at Boston Bijoux which had left me so dissatisfied. Here, then, is my experience: I brought two watches to Boston Bijoux for repair and/or service. I (over)paid for the service(s) and, yet, neither of the watches functioned properly when I brought them home. I brought the watches back and the owner refused to stand by his workmanship. Instead, he suggested that I could pay more money to him to put the watches in service. I had been burned once and I was unwilling to be burned again. I brought the watches to another jeweler and they are working perfectly. The owner has been relentless in his attempts to keep me from exposing his business practices. He has sent me veiled threats through e-mail. He posted a scurrilous attack on me on Yelp. He managed to get Yelp to remove the two postings which I wrote. I am writing this post to let potential customers know about Boston Bijoux ... caveat emptor ... my experience was highly unsatisfactory and nothing that the owner can say or do will change the facts of his unprofessional, deceptive actions. read more

My family has made several purchases at Boston Bijoux Acton recently, and both the products and personal attention from their staff have been great. Most significantly, Tim, the jewelry store staff member with whom I've dealt, recently helped my son with his engagement ring purchase. On an impromptu visit to Boston Bijoux Acton, my son's girlfriend had described, to Tim and my son, a ring that she might want someday. The ring that she envisioned was based on ideas that she got while looking at other "non-engagement" rings in the store. My son returned later to the store, and worked with Tim to custom design the engagement ring. Due to the involvement of designing the custom ring and special circumstances surrounding the proposal, there were a few email and phone call exchanges. Tim was great in all of the communication to ensure that all was perfect for this ring. In the end, my son's fiancé has a stunningly beautiful custom-designed engagement ring. In addition, over the winter holidays, Tim helped me select some ear rings for a gift and for someone with allergies. Tim was very helpful in guiding and educating me; and the gift was well received. Lastly, before these purchases, Tim helped my husband and I select a special order 3 stone diamond ring for my husband to replace his wedding band. My husband has gotten many compliments on this unique ring. read more
