TJ Maxx - Discount Store Near Me - Acton, Massachusetts

Since the last review, I think there is a new manager at this TJMaxx and he is amazing, so I see major changes in the store and the employees definitely look happier and at ease with customers. The selection is unique and I believe that it's fate if you happen to find something that resonates with you. The staff here (now) have been courteous and honestly very helpful - so I've been splurging a lot more than usual. When a store offers amazing customer service, and great deals, I can definitely see the boost in sales - at least out of my wallet at least lol. I highly recommend coming back here now, love the customer service and welcome feeling when I enter this store now. Highly recommend! read more

Great customer service!! I was in there on April 20, and was overloaded with items and I was approached by a very nice employee named Yadargiri. He brought me a carriage and even went and beyond to find me the correct salad bowl i was looking for. A true gentleman. read more

I always hit gold when I go here. All I wanted was assistance to look up something in another size to buy online or at another store location. It was super slow the manager acted busy for 25mins before she dials one nearby store location. The person at the other location tells her she's too busy and hangs up. Then she gives me a binder with surrounding T.J.Maxx's phone numbers and said do it yourself. Wait what!? Insane... any other store would have not only ordered the item for me online but also ship for free. Just to name drop Nordstrom, target, even Walmart have done this for me in the past. This is my favorite of all the TJ"s and Marshals stores in the area. The staff are all super nice & friendly and the manager always says hello. You can tell it is a good work environment as the employees tend to stay. They are also reasonable about returns which Marshals in Westford is not. If the tags are attached and not too far out -they will usually give you a credit. Love Love Love this store! read more

TJ Maxx and HomeGoods are both always interesting experiences filled with a crapshoot. Either tons of great finds or tons of junk. It depends upon which specific location you visit that determines the awesomeness. Now, when TJ Maxx and HomeGoods are combined, into a larger space, normally, it creates awesomeness. And here, it was a success and is to this day a success! Huge store and tons and tons of inventory. I don't know if any of the other thousand stores like this I have been to have had so much specialty foods or decorative Christmas supplies. Either a boatload got shipped here, or people just have been shopping everywhere else. Either way, they had tons of great deals throughout and I was able to check off SEVEN gifts for the holidays with decorated candy canes filled with OREO's in the specialty food aisle, and even a few others with lots of small, compact gifts. Christmas decor section was overstocked (as said before), and even the men's clothing section was full too. I came a week before Christmas, and not only was this place FULL of bargains, it was packed busy, organized AND clean! How is this even possible? Line was long (or so I thought), but took less than five minutes to get through with all ten registers alive and kicking. Great service for such a busy place. Acton isn't very close to any huge malls or department stores. TJ Maxx provides a wonderful place for residents of the area to go if they need something quick and decent without going to Natick. 5 stars. read more

Tj Maxx in Acton - awesome! Freakin' finally. Great selection of bags, shoes and home goods. I am a frequent shopper. Only issue is - when you go, you'll probably know at least one person in there... *sigh* the joy of living in a small town. Oh well. I'm an expert bargain shopper, and I am a connoisseur of TJ Maxx and Marshall's stores. This is a good TJ Maxx, and I shop here all the time. Given the clientele of the area, they carry a lot of upscale designer varieties, but it is not as pricy as the Shopper's World location in Framingham. I have seen Paper Denim and J Brand jeans there recently for 50 bucks. The accessory section is pretty big, with a jewelry counter and nice selection of designer handbags. It also has a large Homegoods with a decent sized furniture, kitchen, home, and bath section in the back. The con of this store would be their shoe section. It still has the old-school TJX shoe displays, with tall racks that you have to dig through to find the shoes. I am hoping that they will revamp the shoe section and put in the nice organized rows with shoes displayed with boxes of a variety of sizes underneath. Overall, if you are an avid TJ Maxx shopper you will be happy if you try out this store. read more

I've always had fantastic luck here although it isn't my usual store. This time though, absolutely terrible customer service. I walked in over a half our before closing only to be promptly met by an employee informing me I should make my trip quick as they close in 30 min. I got what I needed and was ready to check out when I was called over to a register by what appeared to be a new employee, not a problem as I've been in that position before. Before I had the chance to get my card out the person training her harshly said "well do you have your card" as if i had been standing there wasting time for 15 minutes. I used my TJX card which apparently didn't want to work (my issue) but when I asked if I could try it again I was scolded by another young employee listening from the side lines "we can't tell you why it did that..." I let them know I needed a moment to check my banking app to make sure it hadn't actually gone through and was asked abruptly "we'll do you have another for of payment..." with lots of attitude. I do not plan on making the drive to this TJ Maxx again and I would suggest those considering it stay away and go to one of the ones near by. read more

Amazing!! The manager Dan was just wonderful and went above and beyond to help me with a purchase. The staff loaded my purchases for me, and even opened the doors a few minutes early for me just because I happened to be there with some time to spare. Let it be known that I am a TJ Maxx lover. I mean, I could spend every day in there browsing and walking and asking myself whether or not I REALLY need that new purse or that awesome chair on display. I did not give this TJ Maxx / Home Goods 5 stars only because the bedding and linen department has really gone by the wayside over the last year. The linen selection is crappy and the quilts and designer duvet covers and bedroom sets has disappeared. Also, can we get more curtains? read more
