A Dollar Tree in the Town of Acton? Seriously? Well, even…read morethough the Town of Acton wouldn't be a place that I would think of having a Dollar Tree, there is one, a brand new one in fact, sitting in a weird shopping / business complex right off Route 119. It seems like a really weird place to have a store like Dollar Tree, but it also seems like a nice place to have for residents of the area or people who work in the area. Store is very clean, new, and spacious. Lots of selection and very friendly employees. This store seemed to have an extraordinary section of seasonal finds. Always lots to love about the Dollar Tree, mainly being that you can fill your cart and still not come out with breaking the bank! I was able to find everything I was looking for, didn't have to wait long in line and was in and out of this place quickly and efficiently. Located in the Nagog Park off Route 119 in Acton, minutes from the I-495 split. Convenient as there are very few discount stores in the area. 4 stars for the new Acton Dollar Tree!

Cashiers here need some basic manners, as others have pointed out…read more I went in to buy some river stones for a craft project, and the man running the register today felt the need to tell me: "you can find those outside, they're called rocks." I'm sure he thought he was adorable, but I suspect he wouldn't have made that wise ass comment to a male customer.

This store has a well-curated selection of hard to find items ... lots of $12 ice cream and $5…read morebottles of soda ... which appease the Concord-ites in their $2 million houses. You can find things here that you can't find anywhere else. The best ice cream in the world is Mitchell's ice cream in Santa Barbara, CA. I have never seen this for sale outside of Southern CA ... much less in Massachusetts. I don't even mind paying $10/pint. Do yourself a favor and try it. (Just leave some for me!) The Chip Shop Curry sauce in the Irish/British section is also a fantastic item. You'll never think of Ketchup with french fries again once trying this cardboard tube of dehydrated crystals. And their selection of beers and wines at about 20% markup are pricey, but good. Bananas Foster Milkshake IPA, Blueberry Muffin Porter and obscure French and Italian wines? I'm in. I am not necessarily going to complain about the absolutely insane prices. This sure isn't Market Basket. Shit, even Wholefoods rolls their eyes behind this store's back when they see a half a tuna fish sandwich for $14 or a $6 single wrapped non-descript oatmeal cookie. You know what you are getting into when you pass through town and see the perfectly landscaped 1700's giant houses with their 'activist' signs in the front yard, that look like they came out of a Pottery Barn catalog. You know ... Stop Global Warming ... yet consume ice cream that traveled 4,000 miles across the country in a refrigerated truck. What I don't love is the pre-made foods ... from the sandwiches to the baked goods to the entrees aren't that good. How can one go wrong with a $12 'authentic' Jamaican jerk pasty? When it is bland, tasteless and contains two small scraps of meat, that's how. In a moment of weakness, I splurged on a $8 piece of pie that tasted of little more than shortening and cardboard. Overall, it's clean ... it's immaculate ... and it's well curated for the well off. It's 20-something year old workers, who clearly would rather be at Dartmouth gathered around an ice luge made with Fiji Water, will one day be able afford the trappings of $40/lb. Stilton cheese and $12 per ounce pimento cheese spread. But in the meantime, they aren't that helpful or interested in customers. Who can blame them? Hedge funds and derivatives are so much more interesting than Naples tomato sauce and organic laundry detergent. Would I come back? Yes ... for the 5 or 6 really cool things I can't find anywhere else and cannot live without. A raging coke habit would be less expensive than doing one's regular grocery shopping here. But ... you never know what oddiments you'll find. Just keep in mind that a $20/lb. cold cut really is just a cold cut here and many of the crazy expensive deli, bakery or cheese items here aren't that amazing despite 70% of the world needing to take out a mortgage to buy a roast beef and asagio cheese sandwich on sourdough here.

Really nice fresh and clean looking place is very friendly looking and welcoming from the outside…read more He is very knowledgeable about the food. They sell the homemade soups and salads and bread and stuff that they sell in the first floor. We actually stayed for lunch here on the second floor there's a little. Café that you can sit and have lunch in overlook the main part of the store. Everything is made in house and their dips and soups etc. Would like to come back sometime when we have a bit more time to look. I do have a great variety of food, though that I will say I think this would actually make a great trip to walk around and stuff with us a lot of historical things to see.
