The tops needed to be returned because they did not fit. When I went back to the store with the receiptI, I was informed that they could only be returned for store credit. The salesperson showed me the yellow sales receipt stapled to the cash register sheet. On the yellow paper receipt was stamped "returns for store credit only". My issue is that the yellow store receipt was not submitted to me for review prior to running my card through for payment. There is no way I would purchase anything for Store Credit Only. I believe they were training a new person and as we walked by we were still not greeted (it did not bother us, unfortunately we are quite used to this in these suburban towns). We took our time browsing the store as they had a selection of baby related items towards the very back of the store that we found cute yet (albeit very expensive). We spent about 10 mins. As we were leaving we see one of the (presumably new) employee with green hair walk towards the section we were in. He went past us and awkwardly followed us without uttering a word, made us feel like shoplifters. We were deeply offended and and felt disgusted as we exited the store. Apparently we are not the only ones who experienced this, I attached a screenshot of a 56 year old woman who was also followed. This store really needs to reduce their hubris, there is literally nothing of great value to steal from in this store. An apology to this review would be nice, however we do not plan on returning ever and the lack of accountability based on other replies does not provide us with much hope. TLDR; we went in this store and without any verbal interaction, was followed by an awkward employee. We felt offended and disgusted. It's 2024 and I would hate to imagine what the chain of events would be, if we were of a darker skin color.

In…read morefact, I would have never known about this hidden gem had they not set up shop for a day in my gym. The store specializes mainly in jewelry but also caries some specialty items - candles, picture frames, bags, home decor accessories. I haven't found jewelry in the area that compares to Isabel Harvey! They have a good selection and some really cute and unique pieces. Also, the owners of the store (who are sisters) are very helpful and friendly! My only criticism is the price. While they do have some very reasonably priced pieces (mostly bangle bracelets) the mark up is high!! I recently purchased two coral and glass table accessories at Robb and Stucky for $100 a piece. Isabel Harvey had the same exact ones that they were se$168!! I can only imagine what the rest of their markups are! That being said, it is retail space is Wellesley and their merchandise is unique! I would definitely recommend checking out this store!

I have been a loyal customer of Isabel Harvey for more than a decade, purchasing jewelry for myself…read moreand many gifts for family and friends. I have also recommended the store to others over the years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. My mother recently purchased a necklace for my 13-year-old daughter as a generous gift. While it was beautiful, it was not her style, and my mother encouraged her to exchange it for something she would truly love. I came into the store within the 14-day return window, as outlined in the policy, with the original receipt and item in hand. From the start, the interaction felt uncomfortable. The sales associate seemed visibly displeased that I was requesting an exchange and responded curtly when I asked a simple question about the value available for the exchange. The tone throughout the process felt dismissive rather than helpful. When my daughter selected a new piece, another associate completed the transaction, but the energy remained tense and unwelcoming. Attempts at light conversation were met with minimal response and little eye contact. The overall experience left both my daughter and her friend feeling uncomfortable, which is unfortunate given that this was meant to be a positive moment. As a long-time customer who has spent thousands of dollars at Isabel Harvey, I left feeling disappointed and discouraged. A return or exchange, especially within the stated policy, should still reflect the same level of customer care and professionalism as a sale. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Given this experience, I will be reconsidering where I shop for gifts and jewelry moving forward.

Oh don't get me wrong, I would hate to loose something that is bright and shiny, but if I did I wouldn't be heartbroken since I didn't spend all to much AND guess what? You guessed it - I now get to go back and find a replacement piece, oh darn. This store is great for picking up a gift for a friend. Well for that matter, even someone you don't know because there are so many cool things to pick from. I couldn't resist getting a bright colored flower ring (to go with my rainbow nails) as soon as I saw it. It always makes people smile (or laugh cuz I am a bit on the crazy side) when they see it. I also picked up a cool pen and pencil holder in the shape of a shoe. I suppose it could also be used as an eyeglass case but I like how it livens up my otherwise "regular" office desk - given the animal print and all.
