I have been a customer of Isabel Harvey since it first opened at Linden Square. It's been one of my favorite shops in Wellesley and I shop and purchase gifts and items for myself there frequently. I went into the store today, 2 women were working and seemed to be rearranging some of the items in the store. I walked through the entire store, passing by them at least 2 times - no one else was in the store and they never once greeted me or asked me if I needed any help. One of the employees has been there for a few years - I've been ignored by her before. I honestly don't know if I'll go back with such dismissive treatment. read more

This quaint little shop is tucked in the back corner of the Roche Brothers shopping complex. In fact, I would have never known about this hidden gem had they not set up shop for a day in my gym. The store specializes mainly in jewelry but also caries some specialty items - candles, picture frames, bags, home decor accessories. I haven't found jewelry in the area that compares to Isabel Harvey! They have a good selection and some really cute and unique pieces. Also, the owners of the store (who are sisters) are very helpful and friendly! My only criticism is the price. While they do have some very reasonably priced pieces (mostly bangle bracelets) the mark up is high!! I recently purchased two coral and glass table accessories at Robb and Stucky for $100 a piece. Isabel Harvey had the same exact ones that they were se$168!! I can only imagine what the rest of their markups are! That being said, it is retail space is Wellesley and their merchandise is unique! Such a lovely, beautifully lit place!!!! Some of the sales reps are simply darling, and others, however, bring the snoot factor up to past Wellesley standards. In a town like Wellesley, I have found many down to earth and wonderful people. But a young lady, around my older son's ages that doesn't need to be turning her nose up to my 14 year old as he jokes with me about my taste in jewelry. Sorry dear, but I would put his IQ against hers any day - he knows well enough NEVER to look down at people AT ALL, and to mind his own business. The young lady at the cash register - lovely. Isabel Harvey is a wonderful boutique that sells marvelous gems and goodies! I have been to their Wellesley location and their Nantucket location during the summers. The owners are trendy sisters whom are kind and welcoming upon entry in their store. Kim helped me pick out a great bridal shower gift. We chose a couple of beautiful candle lanterns/holders, great for the outdoors in the summer time! They were the talk of the party, no really-- everybody else got gifts from the registry and there were multiple gifts of the same thing(pizza stones, knife sets, etc). When my girlfriend opened my gift, the ladies were all about it and immediately asking me where I got it. Plenty of "oohs" and "ahhs" and gasps. I ordered a necklace online on Friday night. On Saturday morning the owners called AND emailed to tell me that the necklace was no longer in stock. I was a bit disappointed, but they made a couple of fantastic recommendations to replace the original necklace. I have to admit - I like the replacement necklace more than the original necklace. I work on the same street as where Isabel Harvey is located and I walk by it all the time but never have been inside. Well today I decided to go in and take a look around. My first thought was, everything is so pretty. On top of that, I was greeted right away but a couple of the store associates who were extremely nice. Being it's located in Wellesley I assumed the prices were going to be astronomical but I was wrong. Some of the items were more reasonably priced than I thought so I was one happy camper! I ended up buying square small cross body bag that I love...should've bought it in every color :) Everything else in the store was all to my taste and I will definitely be back to shop a some more! read more

Fantastic store, fantastic jewelry, fantastic service. First off, I love the atmosphere. The decor, layout and simplicity of the layout makes shopping very pleasant. The jewelry is fantastic. It is unique and eye-catching without being overly large, showy or tacky. I have several things from here, and wear them all the time- when I do, I always receive tons of compliments. The items I have I wear with jeans, to the office and out at night- they are very versatile. Most items come in a large range of colors. While the prices are a bit steep, they are not outrageous. I know that there is similar jewelry out there, but upon close inspection, there are subtle differences. I have asked about similar pieces of jewelry, both within the store and from other places, and the employees are happy to explain the materials used in the jewelry and other details. I have two very similar bracelets (both given as gifts)- one from here, the other Alex and Ani. My Alex and Ani has already chipped, while the Isabel Harvey one still looks brand new. Of course, everyone's preferences vary. However, I think Isabel Harvey is definitely worth an in-person or online browse if you have never been there before. read more

At first I loved this store, the owners are locals and I like to support small businesses, that being said everything in the store is overpriced! I saw the exact pair of earrings I bought there in NYC for 75% less. Truly this store is a rip off, with poor costumer service. Then a bracelet I purchased there broke, I returned to the store and spoke w/ the owner to see if it could be repaired or replaced....her response "maybe you could find a bead store somewhere" The reason for paying more at small stores is because they understand their costumers needs, Isabel Harvey does NOT! Sorry, but save your $$$ their jewelry is not well made and not worth it! read more

I've bought many many things at this store. They are very close to my house and I genuinely like their jewelry. I ALWAYS get compliments on what I buy there and like their buyer's taste. I have been shopping there for about 3 years and have spent at least $1500 there. On my last visit, I asked if "they had any sales that day". They often run promotions and I always love a bargain. The ladies looked me up and down like I was a weirdo. My fiance was there and it was so uncomfortable we looked at each other and he left. I felt awkward and said - "you guys often have great promotions" to break the awkward silence. I tried to shop a bit longer, as I really wanted some new bracelets and earrings (my weakness), but the odd vibe was too much. I guess next time I will have to carry my Hermes bag and make sure they see me step out of my Jag so they realize I belong there. If you want cute jewelry this is the place, but be sure to dress the part and don't ask about a sale :-) read more

Isabel Harvey is relatively new to Wellesley Center but it's already my staple for all my gifts I need! (They even gift wrap everything for you). The interior is clean and bright and it's always like summer in there. I always find something new and different when I go - not like the same things you see all the time on everyone. Employees are quick to help if you need advice on what matches with an outfit or what to get for someone you might not know well. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the jewelry - the employees are very knowledgeable to explain the types of gold filled, plated, and sterling silver jewelry and what all the semi precious stones are. I was in here during July Jubilation to look at their jewelry. Their store is beautiful, bright and airy and you feel like you are far away in a location that is always sunny and warm! Their jewelry on the other hand are not one of a kind pieces and I don't really know where they purchase them but I know they are not made there and bought wholesale from somewhere else. Quite a few of their pieces I have seen ( and bought ) at other locations like TJ Maxx and the Paper Store and for a whole lot cheaper. I bought the same round Pave CZ silver necklace they have for sale there ( many of their CZ jewelry pieces as a matter of fact ) at the Paper Store for $ 7.00. They are selling the same pieces for 5 times that amount! All their earrings they have on those hooks are sold at many other places for a lot less. Please look carefully at the stones,,many I saw were not good quality and had a cloudy look or a little ripple like look on the surface of the stone. Please look around first before you buy one of their many same like pieces you can find somewhere else for under $20. I also see the same pieces being sold at Sara Campbell on Linden Street for the same amount as well. I am sure they buy their jewelry wholesale in bulk and mark the prices way up because they are in Wellesley. Otherwise have fun looking anyway but don't be easily fooled! read more

Cute shop offering jewelry and accessories but before you buy, SHOP AROUND.....many of the exact same items are carried at other boutiques in Wellesley at significantly lower prices. I bought a brightly colored cuff bracelet and a decorative necklace that I have seen at other Wellesley boutiques for 25-40 percent less. read more

Isabel Harvey has the best array of accessories! All their jewelry is beautiful and well-made. Classic pieces you can wear forever as well as fun trendy items. The store is beautiful and welcoming and it's always a fun experience shopping there! The customer service is excellent - they always want to help you out and go the extra mile for their customers.
