We went to Crosby for my engagement ring and wedding band. It was a great experience. For the engagement ring, we used a diamond from a necklace that had been in my partner's family. The team helped us pick out a setting that I loved and did a beautiful job removing the diamond from the setting in the necklace and setting it in the ring. The service was friendly and straightforward. It's not the type of shop where they're going to pop champagne when you pick your ring, but that's not what we wanted or needed. Worked with Michael to have my fiancée's engagement ring made, and, in short, he hit it out of the park. I live on the west coast, but chose Crosby's because family members have had very positive experiences with them in the past. Since I live ~3,000 miles away, and since the ring I had in mind needed to be custom made, this project was probably more complicated and labor intensive than the average engagement ring sale. Michael took on the project and the logistical challenges it presented in stride and made it look easy. On a visit to MA, I showed Michael a photo of what I was looking for, and he met with me a couple times to discuss design, stone, and pricing options. After that we corresponded by text to complete the project. He really captured the style of my original design idea, while also providing valuable advice about how to improve it. He was also spot on with his original price estimate and kept me in the loop about every step of the process. In short, I couldn't be happier about the ring and the work that Crosby's did to create it. Michael was very professional, communicative and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. He did an excellent job taking a vague description I gave him based on her Pinterest board and delivering the ultimate product. The final product ended up capturing what she wanted more perfectly than she knew how to articulate in the first place. I tried to get Needham HS senior gifts engraved there. The engraver unfortunately engraved the charms incorrectly. Alfred OUTRIGHT REFUSED to re-do them and told me he would never help with this project again. I have never been treated so poorly by any business in my life. Came here, to Crosby Jewelers today, September 14, 2015 to get a TON of watch batteries replaced, something I've been meaning to do for AGES. This small little shop is in Needham Center, on Highland Avenue, between to Walgreens & Lizzy's. And today, was PERFECT. The guy was very knowledgable about all of the jewelry, as well as being friendly. He also go all of my watches done in LESS than 5 MINUTES! WOW. Mike at Crosby helped me create the perfect engagement ring for my fiancée. I brought in pictures of a ring from a high end boutique online brand that I knew she liked. He helped me modify the design so it was similar, but unique, found the perfect diamond, and then worked closely with the caster to make sure it came out well. When I wanted to change up the design slightly after the first casting, he got the caster to make those changes without charging me. Throughout the whole process he was always proactive in communicating, was very responsive, and always stuck to timelines we set. The final outcome was a beautiful, unique ring that was about 33% cheaper than if I'd bought it from that boutique online brand. When I first moved to town I took a broken ring to Seagaloff's and they told me it was impossible to fix. I walked across the street to Crosby and he fixed it for $20 no problem and it's perfect.
