I had another company come look at the problem 2.5 weeks ago. I called them in the morning and the showed up a couple hours later. After looking at my HVAC, they diagnose the problem as poor air flow due to a dirty air filter. There was a fine white powder on the filter which made it hard to see the dirt. The white powder is a result of using a ultra sonic humidifier with tap water. They suggest to change the filter more often (every 30 days) and buy a different brand filter with a MERV 8 or 10 rating.

I trusted them to completely replace our system, and they did it quickly, efficiently and at a good price. And Nestor had followed up on multiple requests I had to make a couple of adjustments so that our new system was running perfectly. It's 95F today and our new Bryant AC is running COLD air and holds it's own. I got estimates from multiple providers who wanted to rip me off because my furnace was broken on the coldest day of the year. Nestor gave me an honest quote and didn't give me excuses like "I need to do extra sheet metal work" or "your system needs a new flue". He figured out what was the best midrange furnace and AC for our house and quickly installed it so our house wouldn't freeze up. His installation was up to code. The Nest thermostat didn't work at first but when I mentioned it wasn't working, he came back the next day and fixed it. The aC and furnace he installed are quiet and energy efficient. He also installed a high quality air filter. I looked for leaks in his duct work and I couldn't find any. He correctly set up the condensate drip line to extend 1 feet past the foundation of the home. I do wish he put a more sturdy mat for my aC, time will tell if it shifts and he has promised to come back if I need any adjustments.

Other hvac technicians will tell you to just replace the system without checking anything. Quality of service: Well, this technician gave me options to get me going. In fact, he gave me 3 options and it was MY decision on what we should do. When I made the decision to replace the fully hvac (not from any pressure from the technician), he was able to fix it so that I had heat until they came back to replace it. They saved me time and money, which is value to me! Value delivered: Other hvac companies are rude and have sneaky sales tactics. Not Rocky hvac. The crew that came to install it were all professional and polite. After 5 decades of using other hvac companies, I finally found a keeper.

Buyer Beware! Contract Breach and Evasive Practices…read more I hired Rocky HVACR, LLC to install a new system for a total of 10,996 dollars. Prior to installation, representative Robert Winston explicitly agreed 100% in writing via email to include a 10-Year Extended Labor Warranty. This warranty was the sole reason I chose them and awarded them the contract. However, after the installation was complete, they issued a final invoice breaching our agreement by listing only a standard 2-year warranty.To make matters worse, the installation crew left an unsealed open hole/gap in the new gas furnace, creating a safety hazard. When I reached out to demand the corrected paperwork and a safety check, Robert Winston completely blocked my phone number to avoid accountability and cut off communication!I have officially frozen the entire payment by filing a formal billing dispute with Synchrony Bank, and I have filed an official complaint with the Maryland Attorney General with a case already opened. Do not trust their written promises or their reputation.
