I was pleasantly surprised when the Metro Services HVAC Tech stated that he didn't have the experience to check my boiler, so he contacted office staff, who within an hour, called to tell me that Mr. Mike would come later--same day--at a time convenient for me. Mr. Mike and Mr. Joshua arrived; Mr. Mike coached him through the annual check-up that included--for the first time in 20+ years of an annual check-ups--"bleeding" all the radiators! I woke up in the morning to find my AC wasn't working properly. I contacted Metro Services and told them the issues over the phone. It was a 97 degree day. I didn't have a scheduled appointment, but they assured me that they would fit me in before the day was over. They were able to set something up with me really quick! Although they didn't return my voicemail, I was able to call again then next day and they came same day to fix my AC issue. Not only did the technician replace the part and pointed out what was needed quickly, he did his due diligence and checked everything else for free. I also wanted to swap out my thermostat to a Google Nest, but he pointed out my system only works well with the same "smart" thermostat. So I saved money as well and returned the Nest. It's time to part ways with Metro Services HVAC after over 3 years of services. Their services were fine (though there was one guy who was great). I used them to service the systems 2 a year, but their informality and disrespect to my time was too much. They were usually late but I put up with it but the last 2 times within one week were just too much. There was always someone more important and more urgent, and if at least they would call me to give me a heads up I may have let it go but they didn't. Beware- of this company! Nader Anthony Mufarreh (Nate), the smooth-talking owner of Metro Services HVAC, LLC, is NOT licensed to INSTALL ANYTHING. If you make the mistake of hiring Metro Services to install anything, the following five things may save you from going through what Nate has and is still putting me through. 1. Don't take Nate/Nader's word for anything; get everything in writing!! 2. Make sure you get a contract that includes the final price, how long the installation will take, his insurance information (you will need it), and most importantly, a No-Lien Clause. Nate threatened to put a mechanical lien on my property if I did not pay more than we verbally agreed on. 3. Have them provide you with a VALID work permit before starting the installation. A permit is required by law, but Nader does not do it unless requested since neither he nor his current techs hold a master license. Nader can't pull permits or legally install anything. He uses an old employee's (and friend's) license number to obtain permits in Maryland. 4. Make sure the name listed on the permit matches the name of the person who installs your unit because, as of Dec 2023, the owner, Nate/ Nader, is not licensed to install anything. He only has his journeyman's license and will hire and "train" anyone off the street. 5. Lastly, don't purchase a service contract with them; not only are they well over $50.00 more than other companies, but Metro Services HVAC won't honor them or reimburse you if they decide not to work with you due to their incompetence. read more

On Christmas Eve I woke up to a freezing house! My less than 1 year old furnace was not firing up. I tried calling the company that installed my new unit to no avail. I also tried numerous other companies before coming across Metro Services HVAC. Within a few minutes I was connected with Nate. I explained my issue and he said he knew what the problem could be. Although he was booked for the day he promised he would fit me into the schedule and he did just that. Upon his arrival he quickly diagnosed the issue which had to do with the water pump connected to the furnace. He worked diligently to fix the problem and got the heat running again in my freezing house. It's obvious that Nate is a seasoned professional and has the experience to fix HVAC issues. Nate was recommended by a friend so I asked for an estimate for a new electric gas valve (which I already had a strong suspicion was the problem with our 16-year old Carrier furnace). After a quick conversation regarding the symptoms he agreed it was likely the problem. After relaying the model no. to him he was able to locate a new valve for our furnace. He beat out two other repair estimates from five other HVAC companies (three of which after a week never provided an estimate). He arrived at the scheduled time, was totally Covid-19 correct (including wearing little disposable footies!) and proceeded to expertly replace the valve demonstrating his twenty years of HVAC experience. And his final charge was his estimate (as oppose to some outfits that charge $40/15 mins extra if they struggle with a repair). Despite its age no attempt made to upsell to a new furnace. My HVAC contractor informed me that my AC unit needed to be replaced which would cost me thousands of dollars. I decided to get a second opinion. I looked at several reviews and the one I was really impressed with was Metro Services HVAC and a Technician by the name of Nate. I contacted them and they sent Nate out to my residence on 5/9/23. He ran a thorough check of my AC system and informed me that the system was functioning fine and did not need to be replaced. he said there was a freon leak which was very slow. He added freon and said on occasion freon would have to be added. Still no reason to replace the unit. Nate took the time to explain to me how the entire system functioned which I had no idea. He is extremely knowledgeable with regards to HVAC systems and functions. He also has a great personality. On 5/24/23 Metro dispatched Mike for a follow up visit and he replaced an ultra violet light bulb and did a thorough cleaning of the AC unit which is located in the attic. In spite of the heat and cramped conditions Frank was very patient and thorough as he did a fantastic job cleaning a dirty system. He had a great personality and was easy to communicate with which is indicative of the two employees Metro Services sent to my rescue. Just reiterating how impressed I was with the customer service from Metro Services HVAC. Called them out because I was having circulation issues with my heating. The supervisor came out, arrived on time, and really took the time to analyze the issue. Rather than try to sell me unnecessary services, he recommended that I speak with my initial HVAC installer and offered to be on the call to explain the issue so I could get the problem solved more affordably. We scheduled an appointment with this company to which we were given a time of arrival between 11 and 2pm. We called the morning of at 10:45am to confirm again to which we received confirmation. My granddaughter waited the full 3 hours and they never showed up. Upon calling, they informed that someone was "supposed" to contact her and that they knew the guy was running late, but that was never relayed. After the technician was contacted, they informed he was in route but 45 minutes out past the already 3 hour window. This company cannot be trusted to provide good customer service. If you are calling the tech on service day more than they are calling you, then they do not really care about your business. We rescheduled for the next morning, but management was so digusted with the service that we canceled any further business. read more

I am so grateful that I found Nate and Metro Services HVAC. We came back from vacation and our heater was not working. I have a home warranty where I can use which ever contractor I want, but there are so many companies out there who won't even give you the time of day if you have a warranty. Luckily I found Metro Services HVAC and explained the situation and said look I will pay you directly it's just that for me to get reimbursed I need you to hop on the phone with them before you start any work. Nate agreed and was so helpful he actually arranged it so the warranty company paid his company directly and I wasn't out of pocket. But more importantly, Nate detected the problem and the underlying problem. The heater had a dead circuit board and he replaced it but he stayed to make sure that it was working properly and discovered that it was actually burnt out because of the way the heater was set up. So he reset the limiter and now my HVAC is working perfectly. I'm so grateful to Nate and the company. I first met the owner before he started his own business. Another company was trying to convince me to replace my A/C because it was in its "last leg"! My brother has used his services for years prior. When Nate arrived not only was he professional but he educated me on what to look out for and why my system was more than ok.
