I just had a couple of experiences with Rocky HVAC. I service call and a full hvac replacement. Service requested: The service had a technician (Jose) that actually would troubleshoot the system before making recommendations. Other hvac technicians will tell you to just replace the system without checking anything. Quality of service: Well, this technician gave me options to get me going. In fact, he gave me 3 options and it was MY decision on what we should do. When I made the decision to replace the fully hvac (not from any pressure from the technician), he was able to fix it so that I had heat until they came back to replace it. They saved me time and money, which is value to me! Value delivered: Other hvac companies are rude and have sneaky sales tactics. Not Rocky hvac. The crew that came to install it were all professional and polite. After 5 decades of using other hvac companies, I finally found a keeper. read more

Our AC stopped working last week. Contacted Rocky HVAC. The rep came out the next day. He was very honest and helpful to explain our options. We got a great deal on a whole new HVAC system. It came with a 10 year warranty on labor and parts,most others only offered 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor. We got a money off from BGE and next years taxes too to really help cover the costs. The installers showed up early. They were very professional and helpful. They did a great job with the installation. They went above and beyond,they fixed things that we didn't even have to ask them to fix. Rocky HVAC made the whole experience better than I thought it would be. read more

Wow such what a wonderful first time experience with them! They were out in the Catonsville area in 10 minutes after I called and diagnosed and fixed the problem of a new capacitor in 20 minutes. I have never had such great fast service done on my hvac so quickly. I friend recommended them to me and I was impressed. Hopefully this helps someone else decide if they want to use them. read more

very professional, efficient, fast, and reasonably priced. We called them the day before the Fourth of July and they came out to our house 3 hours later. They diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired our AC unit in less than 30 minutes after arrival. I cannot say enough about how friendly and knowledgeable they were, and they gave us great advice about maintaining our old HVAC system. Well I don't know about the other reviews on here but my experience was beyond awesome !!!! Well happened to be the hottest day of the year thus far, and oh course never fails AC goes out. Now this happens to be my fiancé parents house (both over the hill) we were also visiting with both our young children (one of which has pretty severe asthma as well). Noticed the house had got warm throughout the day. After asking the in laws the had signed up "with something" from BGE and it turns the AC off on hot days. After not being able to take it anymore left with the kids and hit the pool. After researching "The BGE" thing found that by 7 the AC would be back on regardless of what/ how they signed up. Played it safe and showed up after 8 to a house that was now 87deg. After some quick diagnosis myself found the condenser fan not working (with a noticeable electrical burning smell. I work on cars now that smell well) After multiple phone calls to the "Big" companies the soonest we could be seen was Sunday. After a quick Google search came across Rocky's. After a quick look at the reviews (all 5 star what I read) gave him a call. He even answered the phone quick. Found out he was like a block over said he'd be here in 10min. 3 min later knock at the door. Quick journey to the back yard ripped off the side panel. (after telling him what I had smelled/ noticed) Found the c apacitor had failed. Whipped and new one in, clean the coil, and we were ready to go. The longest part was the 5min wait for the BGE box to reset. Took a quick look over pressures etc. And we were up and running. Total time spent inc. the phone call was like 45min. I would recommend him to any/ everyone esp. around the Fort Meade Area. Fantastic work, and would give 10stars if possible. Price was less then I had ball parked even. My inherited mobile home needed a heat pump replacement last November due to extreme abuse of the old one. After consulting with several contractors for the best service, equipment, and price, I chose Rocky HVAC. Rocky installed the new heat pump and thermostat without any troubles, in an orderly and timely manner and with excellent customer service. I don't recommend them at all and pls do not waste your money. This is what happened; he comes in looks at it for 5 mins and says everything is broken. Thermostat need to be replaced, fan is broken, there is no more prion, etc.... how can everything go broken at same time ? He fixed it, got the check and left. Next day it is broken again and I have been calling them for 3 days, they haven't showed up. So pls don't let this happen to you . read more

We have used Rocky HVAC twice for maintenance on our furnace and a/c unit. The first service call was 2 years ago. At that time we just needed more freon. We called today for a new issue and received the same great customer service. The technicians are very professional and courteous. They are genuinely concerned about addressing your issue. They provide helpful feedback in layman's terms. Also, their prices are very reasonable. We are very happy with their service and we will continue to recommend them to others. read more

I called them for the estimate to change the Condenser contractor, clean the Condenser and recharge the AC system in my house. Technician start to change the contractor/Recharge HAVAC and clean the condenser without disclosing the price. Technician start to agitate and being rude when I asked him to disclosed the price prior to installment. Then I been told $75.00 for an estimate, however, Company website advertise free estimate. I have been charged $410.00 to change the contractor/Recharge 2 LB refrigerant into my AC system and clean the condenser. I think they charge too much and provide deceptive advertise and very unprofessional service. I won't hire them again. read more
