Replacement parts would take 4 wks to get in because the unit was discontinued and parts were not readily available. The ladies in the office were always most helpful and the technicians were always on time. When I asked why the parts took so long... it was never mentioned about the unit being discontinued. I asked the salesman for the best, quiet unit available because I want it to last the usual 10 - 15 years. Unfortunately that did not happen. Dishonesty.

On a Friday afternoon, I reached out to ~5-7 vendors to assess a broken HVAC in a DC condo. Ricardo was able to come out IMMEDIATELY at 8PM on a Friday night. He did a quick dusting of the unit which hadn't been serviced in a while and even went to the roof as a part of his diagnosis. After sticking around for a couple hours trying to find the source of the problem, I was mentally preparing myself to pay a diagnosis and service fee, but there was no such thing. What signaled to me Ricardo was top notch was the fact that this man lives in Baltimore, easily a 50-minute commute from where I was in DC. He didn't leave until I was satisfied with his work until 930PM on a FRIDAY night. This type of service is difficult if not impossible to find. Ricardo patiently explained what the problem was, why I wouldn't have working AC after he would leave, and what my options were. He was very transparent with pricing, sent over a couple of quotes, and laid out what install schedules would look like depending on which manufacturer I went with. He and his team came in Tuesday and the install lasted about 7 hours. Fully working AC in less than 2 business days at a reasonable and competitive price. You cannot beat that.

They sent the second string tech to install the parts and he did complain about the commission the other tech was getting for selling me the replacement parts.
