Jary (who helped us when we first moved in) came out on Tuesday and said we had a leak somewhere since the closed-system unit was totally out of coolant. He came back Weds. to do the leak detection and found the leak, recommended a new coil. We had the new coil installed on Friday; this time it was Ricardo and team that did the work installing the coil. They did a great job and a couple hours later our house was back to normal temperature. Gabriel helped us with all the coordination and estimates and seeing if the part was still under warranty (it wasn't, but I didn't expect it would be honestly.) No one likes spending a bunch of money on repairs but I'm very confident that the recommendations Jary made were sound and correct. He did not attempt to upsell me at all, which is greatly appreciated. (The estimates Gabriel sent did include options for replacing the unit, but that wasn't necessary at this time and there was no pressure to do so.) I will continue to call them if we have issues in future with our HVAC system.

I called around 2:30 during the recent snow storm, but main level of my house had no heat as it stopped working. The office manager that answered the phone was very nice and helpful and communicated with me even after calling. The technician, Mitch was punctual, polite, and very knowledgeable. He educated me on a somewhat new system, while making quick work of the diagnosis and repair. All of this, while the service ticket was barely two hours old. Mitch quickly repaired everything and was extremely polite throughout the whole process. They have plenty of payment options (card, cash, or check). The only thing I can recommend is to perhaps follow-up with the customer after their service to ensure everything is still working properly, but that is very minor. I would use them again, 10/10 recommend.

Just a word of warning. I have an Honest Air service plan, and had to call them during the heatwave…read morethis week in the evening at 7pm to fix a non-functioning dual capacitor on my air compressor (the fan unit outside your house). A dual capacitor costs between $14-25 on Amazon or in Home Depot. They marked the item up a minimum of 980% !!! And that is with me assuming they replaced it with the most expensive one at $25. They also added a $160 service fee, and this is with their service plan where they serviced the unit one month ago. Now I get that it was out of hours, but thought that the service plan included callouts. My mistake. But what they charged for the capacitor was a complete RIP OFF! If I took it at the average price on Amazon or at Home Depot at $17, it would be a 1451% markup! Now I can understand if they marked it up 100% or even 200% (at a stretch) but at 1451% that shows that they are neither honest or fair. I have sent two requests for them to justify the HUGE MARKUP ON THE CAPACITOR, and they have ignored both.

I felt like they were honest about what I needed, didn't try and up sell me things I didn't need and respectful when I asked for time to consider my options. Once we decided to go with them they scheduled us with in a week. The install was fast and I barely even knew they were in the house. Everything is working great and we are really happy that we decided to go with a local company. I am very picky and do extensive research before any major purchase. There was an initial mixup about the appointment time, but that was soon sorted, and Saul contacted me prior to his arrival and arrived on time. Quickly getting to work, he identified the problem with our gas insert. He was able to fix the immediate problem to return it to working order and then explained what was happening and why. He also provided what next steps would be for a more permanent solution. It was a very professional, friendly service call.

Response to Alex: your dispatcher Heather would not take my phone call and handed it over to Tyler who told me that your truck broke down. Tyler also said he may be able to get me on today's schedule. How much do you think that was going to happen? I had been rescheduled initially due to double booking the first go round and then suddenly your truck breaks down. This whole process started on Tuesday when my condenser was not working. With the upcoming weekend having extreme heat, I needed it to work. And this must be part of your problem because if you don't think making an appointment and keeping an appointment is part of your service then that is a huge issue.

I had no problem paying the $800 freon recharge cost, but at that price point, I think it's fair to expect respectful communication and transparency. I was simply trying to keep track of the PSI readings for my own records, since I'm dealing with a known leak. As a customer, I believe it's reasonable to ask questions and feel comfortable doing so. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be using their services again and can't recommend them.
