From first contact with Frederick Heating and Air I have been really pleased. They are very quick…read moreto respond, professional and honest. We got several estimates for replacing our furnace and a/c. This was the one company I didn't feel like I was dealing with used car sales men who were trying to rip me off. I felt like they were honest about what I needed, didn't try and up sell me things I didn't need and respectful when I asked for time to consider my options. Once we decided to go with them they scheduled us with in a week. The install was fast and I barely even knew they were in the house. Everything is working great and we are really happy that we decided to go with a local company. I am very picky and do extensive research before any major purchase. Frederick Heating and Air has excellent reviews, provide a great value, excellent warranty and professional service.

First of all there was no delayed response you posted the same day that I did. If you didn't think…read morepeople used Yelp, then why did you respond so quickly. Yes That is my name. That is just a bold-faced lie Sir. I talked to Matt all the time and mentioned the issues that I had at the time of installation. Nothing was done. The initial work order had something to the affect of move unit 2 feet to the right to accommodate the 4-inch box filter that I wanted installed because we had pets. I changed the location of where you wanted to put it so as to facilitate the drain from the unit, the running of which looks like crap (see picture) Why would I need a maintenance plan to change filters? The Filter never did fit correctly if you will look at your service records you will see that Daniel came to do a service to our unit and cobbled together something to keep the filter in place which it was not doing. Yes he wanted to open the closed system and remove the coil and take a chance introducing contaminates into it. How often do you open a sealed system just to clean a coil I don't believe I ever did. And He wanted to charge $1400 and take a day or so to do it. Again not true I asked if he could spray some calclean from the top of the coil as I have done for the last twenty years that I have been in the industry and none of the water the he sprinkled on the upper side of the coil even got into it. and the technician gave in and DOCUMENTED, that the cleaning was worthless And yet after saying that what he did was worthless he still charged me $419. I took my Electrical Apprenticeship in 1982 I took my HVAC Mechanic apprenticeship in 1990 and have been working in building maintenance since 1986. I am a professional for the last 40 years and If I did some work that was worthless, I could not in good consciousness charge the customer for that work. Your installation guys ran the thermostat in the open in my closet after they said they would put it inside the wall(the original tstat wire was in the closet and I wanted it in the wall ) I believe I addressed all the points you bought up on this not used forum. Have a great Day John. Thanks for putting my name and Address out here (not very professional)on this not used forum. Where do you live?

Last spring, we called Frederick Air to have a problem with our system diagnosed. I was not cooling…read moreeffectively. A friend who knew HVAC but was not licensed had already told us our compressor was fine. The tech Frederick Air sent out to diagnose our problem said we needed a new compressor and recommended a whole new system because our system was 15 years old and would only be a matter of time before other parts failed. If I hadn't known better, we would have paid thousands for a repair that actually only cost hundreds. Would our problem have been fixed with a new system? Yes, but at what cost? If we had replaced only the compressor that they said wasn't working, it wouldn't have fixed the problem, and they would have sold us an entire new system anyway. The company we ended up using found a leak, repaired it, recharged the coolant, and our house kept cool throughout the entire summer. If Frederick Air suggests an expensive new system, get a second opinion. How will you know if that is what you really need without a second opinion?

I called on a Friday after being recommended here. My central air conditioning unit in my home had…read morebeen running constantly and often would be higher than what it was set at. I was booked for that Monday! The day of my appointment, I was called several hours before my appointment to say they had an earlier than expected time slot and wanted to know if they could come now. Unfortunately I couldn't do earlier than scheduled but appreciated them asking! My time slot was 4-6 pm. They showed up at 4:05! Wow! I can't tell you how many times companies give time slots and show up hours AFTER the time frame. But not Markool! They are on it! Jorge and Jose were my technicians. They were both very friendly and went right to diagnosing the issue. After about 30 minutes, they figured out I needed Freon. I asked the pricing and they had a tablet to look up the pricing right away. If you need Freon be warned it's expensive! Not this company's fault though it seems to be commonly expensive when I looked online out of curiosity. These two technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything. They were super polite as well. They emailed me my invoice with pictures of everything they did today. I highly recommend Markool for your cooking needs!

With a snow storm only a few hours away, our HVAC system stopped working. Asking the community for…read morerecommendations, Kevin messaged me to tell me he had a tech (Clayton) that would be able to swing by to look at our issue. Clayton arrived, and was able to determine we needed a part. He was able to give a "hack" to get heat until the part could be obtained the next day. Snow storm day, Kevin arrived with the part - of course our luck (we should come with a warning label) - the part is only part of the issue. Kevin was at our house for several hours talking to the manufacturer of our system trying to diagnose the issue. After determining we needed other parts, Kevin gave us other options for us to consider. Truly professional, trustworthy, hard working - in an emergency we appreciated the hard work! (Even when our "simple issue" wasn't so simple. (THIS is not an issue with the workmanship of Kevin or Clayton - it is our system - and our luck!). We truly appreciate the hard work and service they are providing for us during a snow storm. Thank you Kevin and Clayton!

After only a week after they were last out, they sent me Kevin. What an amazing job going through a fine tooth comb to determine what exactly was wrong. Not only was Kevin early for the service calls, him and his assistant worked so incredibly fast and organized. It took no time at all for the installation of it. Even in the pouring rain. I highly recommend Kevin's Precision HVAC for any all all my needs for all 3 of our properties in the future. Thanks so much for everything you've done.

I worked directly with Jerred and he was amazing! He came out (On Labor Day!!!) and 100% saved me. It was warm, and I had a bunch of family in town for the holidays and an extremely hot house wasn't going to work for me. I called Holtzople around 10 am, they answered the phone live (only company I could find that didn't go to VM) and Jerred was out within a few hours. He was very informative and quick (which was important because, no offense to Jerred, I prefer to spend the holiday with my family instead of him) and didn't even charge extra because it was a holiday. Turns out I had a contactor that went bad (he showed it to me... it was literally burnt at the top) and was a pretty quick and easy fix. I am VERY happy with the customer service, pricing and speed of service. If you have an issue (especially on a holiday) make sure to call Holtzople and ask for Jerred!
