I worked directly with Jerred and he was amazing! He came out (On Labor Day!!!) and 100% saved me. It was warm, and I had a bunch of family in town for the holidays and an extremely hot house wasn't going to work for me. I called Holtzople around 10 am, they answered the phone live (only company I could find that didn't go to VM) and Jerred was out within a few hours. He was very informative and quick (which was important because, no offense to Jerred, I prefer to spend the holiday with my family instead of him) and didn't even charge extra because it was a holiday. Turns out I had a contactor that went bad (he showed it to me... it was literally burnt at the top) and was a pretty quick and easy fix. I am VERY happy with the customer service, pricing and speed of service. If you have an issue (especially on a holiday) make sure to call Holtzople and ask for Jerred!

That is just a bold-faced lie Sir. I talked to Matt all the time and mentioned the issues that I had at the time of installation. Nothing was done. The initial work order had something to the affect of move unit 2 feet to the right to accommodate the 4-inch box filter that I wanted installed because we had pets. I changed the location of where you wanted to put it so as to facilitate the drain from the unit, the running of which looks like crap (see picture) Why would I need a maintenance plan to change filters? The Filter never did fit correctly if you will look at your service records you will see that Daniel came to do a service to our unit and cobbled together something to keep the filter in place which it was not doing. Yes he wanted to open the closed system and remove the coil and take a chance introducing contaminates into it. How often do you open a sealed system just to clean a coil I don't believe I ever did. And He wanted to charge $1400 and take a day or so to do it. Again not true I asked if he could spray some calclean from the top of the coil as I have done for the last twenty years that I have been in the industry and none of the water the he sprinkled on the upper side of the coil even got into it. and the technician gave in and DOCUMENTED, that the cleaning was worthless And yet after saying that what he did was worthless he still charged me $419. I took my Electrical Apprenticeship in 1982 I took my HVAC Mechanic apprenticeship in 1990 and have been working in building maintenance since 1986. I am a professional for the last 40 years and If I did some work that was worthless, I could not in good consciousness charge the customer for that work. Your installation guys ran the thermostat in the open in my closet after they said they would put it inside the wall(the original tstat wire was in the closet and I wanted it in the wall ) I believe I addressed all the points you bought up on this not used forum. After a long weekend of high humidity and high temperatures in early September, our A/C went out…read more We had a newborn in the house and that Saturday night was miserable. I figured I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone before Monday. I still called Ewin HVAC on Sunday expecting to leave a message. Rob answered after 1 ring at 8am on Sunday morning!! I couldn't believe it! He was able to squeeze in an appointment for us the very next day. Monday came and he was running a bit late. However he called and apologized prior to arriving. He stayed until 8pm that night diagnosing the problem (it was a refrigerant leak in our A/C coil) and even got us a temporary fix so we could have cool air for our newborn that same night. His prices and estimates were fair and he let me know the worst case scenario upfront. THE BEST PART was our A/C coil had just come out of manufacturer's warranty. Rob made no guarantees but promised to try to get it covered by the manufacturer anyway. Tuesday morning he called and let me know he was able to get us a brand new coil COVERED. Saved us $500-$600!! Rob did not have to do that for us but his willingness to get us the best deal made a strong and lasting impression. He then was able to get the parts needed and installed the new coil promptly a few days later. The A/C is running better than ever before and we have Rob to thank. I would not go to anyone else for your HVAC needs, Rob is the best!!

A friend who knew HVAC but was not licensed had already told us our compressor was fine. The tech Frederick Air sent out to diagnose our problem said we needed a new compressor and recommended a whole new system because our system was 15 years old and would only be a matter of time before other parts failed. If I hadn't known better, we would have paid thousands for a repair that actually only cost hundreds. Would our problem have been fixed with a new system? Yes, but at what cost? If we had replaced only the compressor that they said wasn't working, it wouldn't have fixed the problem, and they would have sold us an entire new system anyway. The company we ended up using found a leak, repaired it, recharged the coolant, and our house kept cool throughout the entire summer. If Frederick Air suggests an expensive new system, get a second opinion. How will you know if that is what you really need without a second opinion?
