This person educated me on the different products and services that could potentially fill my need, and we discussed my lifestyle/living habits to determine which would suit me best. He even performed a live demo of the product we chose, and that settled it. The pricing was very competitive - literally within a couple hundred dollars of the competitor quotes I gathered - and they were able to get me on the schedule within a week's time of signing the quote. Someone came to the home, arriving right one time and working quite quickly. They sealed the grout in my entire house in less than one workday's time, and explained we can walk on it after just 24 hours. Best of all (for me) they supplied us with their proprietary cleaning solution, and they do provide "touch-ups" for the sealing, which means that as years pass and high-traffic areas wear out, I won't have to pay to have the entire house redone.

He offered us the best price of the companies that responded to our initial request, which was for the carpeted stairs and two small landings, though he did have to raise the price slightly (like $20 or so) when he arrived because our description was not quite accurate. We only used their carpet cleaning service, but I was intrigued when I saw some of the other services they offer, like special floor treatments, listed on the company's van. Clearly, they do more than just clean carpets. He didn't mind when we added to our initial request and was able to quickly quote us a new, fair price once he saw the space. Admittedly, he did end up arriving somewhat after the window he had stated, due to other jobs he had to finish, but I'm sure some jobs take longer than you expect, and it wasn't a problem for us. He was fairly quick and efficient once he arrived, I thought. He started the actual cleaning process by spraying stain remover on the worst spots. He had protection for our stairs' corners from the hoses and tubes and used booties over his shoes once the carpet was wet (as one might expect). He even moved our large, heavy bed in our master bedroom by himself so he could clean the entire carpet in there (part of our updated request). I thought we were going to move it together, but when I asked about it after he had gotten started cleaning, he said he had already moved it! He was friendly and respectful. I think he took something like 90 minutes for the whole job, start to finish, which seemed reasonable to me considering the logistics and size of the job. I told him we may call him again for the one bedroom we left out, and I meant it. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Momentum's carpet cleaning service, especially if you don't need them to come exactly in the window.

I finally interviewed Conrad Fiedler owner of the west valley Grout Doctor franchise. Yes he owns a franchise! From the moment he inspected my floors he let me know that not only could he replace several cracked tiles but that the majority of the hairline cracked tiles could be properly epoxied and no longer be visible. As to the grout work and paint restoration he assured me that the color would not be noticeable. I took a gamble knowing what his competitors had told me that using a franchise was a very bad idea. Plus Adam, the scheduler in the office is so nice and cordial, always answers the phone right away. Prices are reasonable, they cleaned my wall to wall carpet, which is 29 years old, so much better than any other company ever has. And they GOT THE STAINS OUT! Note that if somebody is out sick, the owner comes in and gets it done, plus he is always available to consult on challenging jobs like septic backup onto my rug. they know what they are doing and have been in business a long time. It is always a good sign to see that most of the technicians have been working there a long time.
