You know where to find my Sunday after church! The staff here is always attentive, professional and in the best mood! The restaurant is clean and friendly but let me tell you the best part: THE CHILAQUILES!! I always order the super chilaquiles with birria (served on the side not on top) and fresas con crema pancake. I love this place! They do have a wait list but on average experience I can say it goes faster then the time they tell you when you check in. The kitchen here is fast! Don't be surprised your food comes out to the table quickly, I can assure you this does not impact quality. I am very impressed and will continue to frequent them to try out other pancakes. Great job, J.J.'s cafe!

Real good verde chilaques. And the flower is edible too - the best flower I've had up to date (I'm not going in public and eating flowers!) crunchy with some flavor when you broke down the petals in your mouth. Sauce was sublime and the right viscosity for the rest of the dish. I was really impressed here - they are spot on with the texture. Right amount of flavor and spice - same for the chipotle version which I sampled from my friend I got the verde chilaquiles with sunny side up, refried beans and a flight of sangria. Staff was super friendly and attentive!

Came here with my sister, she loves checking out different food places when she comes home. She heard about this place in Instagram. I go a simple breakfast with a few pieces of bacon and a stack of blue berry pancakes. There wasn't anything breathtaking, pretty straightforward breakfast. The location was very busy on a Sunday morning so the people in the surrounding area really like it. If you're nearby and want breakfast, check it out.

Went here for brunch with some friends. We all lived nowhere near this spot but somehow ended here. They have regular American and Mexican breakfast/lunch option. I opted for their Mexican scramble which came a choice of tortillas or toast then topped with slices of avocado. It was flavorful and very well could make two decent dice breakfast burrito. Service was efficient, and fast. Our food came out pipping hot and fresh looking. The space shared a room from a banquet hall which I think they rent for bigger events. The two rooms can be combined or split with a barn like sliding door in the middle of a big space. This place is an option for brunch if you are in the area.

This place is an excellent breakfast spot, especially coming from Maryland. I love the food we had and the quality of service. Parking was easy, and the restaurant was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also clean. The service was fast, and all the servers were attentive. All the food we ordered tasted really good! Overall, this place is a must-visit.

    Dry old steak

We came here after seeing them in instagram the last few months. It was a disappointing experience as most of the food was not good. We ordered two chilaquiles one with chicken and one with steak. The steak was gross. Felt days old and the chicken was really dry. Everything else just tasted bland or subpar. The churro pancakes itself were really good, but the churro pieces they put on top were also very old and inedible. Overall would not recommend will never return. Gave an extra star because our server was really kind.

Went for pancakes, left beyond satisfied. JJ's is very spacious and has some very delicious food. No wait time, menu very straightforward I can see myself going here a lot for a quick breakfast.

Not good for large parties 10+ We had a reservation for 13 ppl at 11 am. Reservation means To secure a guaranteed table in advance, typically to avoid long wait times and manage busy hours. Ambiance was loud and busy since it was a Sunday morning Our whole party was on time and they won't seat incomplete parties. We waited additional 45 min to get seated. The server seem flustered and annoyed with large parties, he took our drink order , left and upon arrival we gave him our order as we were ready to order and eat. I understand large parties take long but food came out decent time in parts of course but the expo , lady refilling coffee were super nice to us. We brought our own cake to cut but we didn't feel welcomed so we decided to hurry eat and go home. Food was okay I enjoyed my pancakes over my entree but definitely not a place for large parties. Anything under 5-6 people will get sat faster and better service.

The wait time for two people on a Sunday was ~20min. We were sat at 12:55 and left the restaurant at 2:11. We felt the food took a while to come out, and so did the check once we asked to pay. I ordered the caramel macchiato which was basically diabetes in a cup. I couldn't drink even half of it. My boyfriend had asked for water as a refill and was brought back another horchata which was not free and not communicated. The food was ok. I ordered the red chilaquiles with birria. The meat portion wasn't enough, and the sauce was not a level 3 spice. Seemed more like a level 1 to me. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles, which were not flavordu We shared a plate of the tres leches pancakes, but they were a bit dry. No syrup was provided and frankly, we didn't want to wait another 5min for them to bring that by. I wouldn't come back in all honesty. I was extremely disappointed to have paid $61 for an experience that felt inconvenient.

Came here on Mother's Day so they were busy but we made reservations and waited maybe 20 minutes to be seated. The staff were nice and checked up on us. Our food came out warm/cooled down but the waffle n chicken was good still. The tres leches pancake was the highlight!!

This place was busy early! We got there around 8:30am on Sunday. It was very roomy. I enjoyed the attentive service. I would not get the chorizo and egg again, just wasn't flavorful. The beans were very good! And the potatoes obrian was more onions & bell pepper than potatoes. The chicken& waffles were AMAZING! we really enjoyed the waffles. Also got a side of bacon & eggs, sooo delicious

Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.

I hit the jackpot gem with Bucket and Rope. This place is just off the main areas in downtown near the Dallas Farmer's Market. The patrons are mostly locals who know what's up. The layout is spacious but welcoming. I sat at the bar as I was solo, but there were plenty of great seating options including comfortable couches. The patio is currently being re-done, but will be perfect for the upcoming fall season. The menu offerings were plentiful and varied, but there are specials and rotating options as well. Alexa at the bar greeted me, and went over the menu and specials with me. She did a great job making my cocktails and giving casual conversation throughout. I ordered the off-menu Steak Frites with broccolini and fries. The steak was charred perfectly on the outside and moist and at the lovely medium temp on the inside. The broccolini was on point with just a bit of spice from the red pepper. Fries were shoestring style, and they did it right with that perfect crisp on the outside and soft inside. I learned that Thursdays are paella night! What a great surprise in downtown Dallas! When in the city again, this will absolutely be my go to place for cocktails and great food.

We let him know upfront that we were on a HARD stop--we had a flight to catch in about an hour and a half--so we asked how we should pace our meal. He said, "Okay, I got it," and he absolutely delivered! We ate, enjoyed ourselves, and still had time to spare. Excellent service! Now, the food! We had the shrimp deviled eggs--EXCELLENT! We also ordered the lobster mac & cheese, fried catfish, pork chops, black-eyed peas cooked with smoked turkey over rice, collard greens, smoked oysters, grilled shrimp appetizer, wild berry lemon drops, and strawberry lemonade. Everything was delicious. Not one disappointing dish on the table. Then came the bill...$450 for four people, with no dessert. That was definitely a bit of a shock. We realized gratuity had already been added, which helped explain the total, but it still felt steep and took a little of the shine off an otherwise great experience. The food was amazing, the service was on point, and Cam did exactly what we needed him to do. But $450 for four people with no dessert? That part was hard to swallow--and it wasn't the food!
