Stopped in for breakfast and sat in a booth. Our waitress was friendly and we quickly got our drinks. I had the Belgian waffle and my son had a skillet breakfast. The waffle was just mushy and not cooked long enough but the skillet breakfast was pretty good. Overall, the service was great and I liked the coffee but the food could have been better. read more

I hate to leave a negative review, but after multiple visits, it needs to be said. Our experiences with a waitress named Tracey (sp?) at Jimmy's Eggs on 71st and Garnett have consistently been disappointing. Every single time she has waited on us, she comes across with a poor attitude and seems to have an issue with what we order--specifically a special omelette that, while no longer on the menu, has always been kindly accommodated by management in the past without any problems or extra charges. The regular manager has always been polite and willing to take care of us, which we truly appreciate. Unfortunately, Tracey makes ordering this same item uncomfortable every time, often questioning it and attempting to add different charges depending on the visit. Most recently, when dining with my mother, we ordered the exact same meal. She offered biscuits and gravy during ordering, then tried to charge us for them afterward. The same happened with bacon as a side--something she offered as part of "two sides"--yet we were later told it was a premium charge. Not only that, but the menu lists that upcharge as $1.90, and we were charged $3.99. The inconsistency and lack of transparency are frustrating, but even more so is the attitude that comes along with it. Dining out should feel welcoming, not like you're being challenged or upcharged at every turn. For context, I am typically a very generous tipper--often 30% or more. On this visit, my mother still left 10%, which honestly felt more generous than the service warranted. Jimmy's Eggs itself has always had good food and, in our experience, great management. But I would strongly recommend avoiding this particular server's section if possible. We are getting one in Bartlesville and we were in Tulsa and decided to try this place. Huge variety on the menu. I got the chicken quesadillas and oh my were they amazing. The cheddar tasted freshly grated. My mom had an omelet and she loved it as well. At this place you seat yourself and they come to your table. It seems like more and more restaurants are going to this. The server we had was okay and took his time to get to us and there wasn't a lot of ppl there but there was a lot of waitstaff. Typically for breakfast, unless it's drive-thru, I avoid chains. I came in with a couple of friends who wanted to eat here and I have to admit, I was kinda surprised. At first when I came in, it totally looked like the chains I avoid and I had my reservations. Our server though was fantastic and that certainly opened the door for me to not be such a breakfast snob. The menu had plenty of yummy options to look at and I went with a skillet with some carnitas if I remember correctly. I was surprised see a protein option like that but I wanted to give it a whirl! When my meal came out not only did it look fantastic, it tasted great as well! Our waitress was Jessica & she did an impeccable job of getting our orders, making sure drinks were filled & our food was good. We were there around 12:30 or so on a Saturday and it was fairly empty. The server approached us right away; she was super friendly and efficient. They're only open until two, and they do have some burgers and sandwiches, but their breakfasts are amazing. I opted for the two meat combo of sausages and bacon with scrambled eggs, seasoned chunky potatoes, and toast. I believe they bake their own bread -- it's definitely more of a bakery bread than the standard loaf of Wonder bread that restaurants usually serve. My husband got a carnitas skillet with a side of pancakes. He really enjoyed it. Our son who almost exclusively eats chicken and fries, wanted breakfast, too. He got scrambled eggs with bacon. I've been to a different Jimmy's In KS I believe. The food has been great both times. Service was fine (new guy). Good variety Of options and a "light menu" for those watching their figure. The large glass of OJ didn't meet my Large standards. Their was also a waitress two booths down from me telling a fancy story about convicts/speeding tickets/20yr old kid losing years of his life/people needing to apologize to her/etc. Great story's but I didn't know this was "Maury" or "The Steve Wilcox Show." Cons: Appallingly slow. Part of my breakfast was missing (the fruit that goes with the Eggs Benedict). If our server was around I would've asked for them, but since she was mostly unavailable for most of the breakfast, I couldn't. I would give zero stars but it won't let you. This place has dirty menus every time we come. Today they stuck together so bad that they fell in a clump to the floor. We come here because my husband loves this place and since he eats meat they usually have food he can get. I on the other hand have problems as I can't eat meat for health reasons. Today is the third or fourth time as kinda lost track of the times they have had no mushrooms which is pretty much the only choice they have for me to get some protein on the menu. If the food was great I wouldn't even complain but the ingredients are usually not even that fresh when I have ordered other items. The tomatoes they brought last time were so Unripe they were green and today's were mush. The toast last time was burnt and my husband's skillet last time was a meat skillet that did have some bell pepper in it but it had more bell pepper than meat. The food has come to the food cold more times than not. They also will not admit that their rewards program might as well be a scam as the program will not work on my phone and hasn't for months. When I said something to manager she said it's my phone. Other Jimmy's Egg stores have told us they hear this complaint all the time and were kind enough to to give us a business card to use as a punch card. This store would not do that. Heaven forbid they have to give a meal away per the rewards plan they advertise. A really decent place to get breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Don't know why I didn't have very high expectations, but for some reason I thought they had a bad reputation. The service was above average too. I am a habitual coffee drinker so sometimes I can put away a pot of coffee by myself at breakfast (I'm sure that is bad for me, but it's the truth!). Most of the time servers have an apparent irritation after the second coffee refill, but our server was super sweet and didn't seem to mind at all. Now the real treat about coming here for breakfast is the option to add a mighty delicious cinnamon roll to any meal for only like $2. Bring on the sweet and salty breakfast: best of both worlds! I had the farmers market skillet, and it was really good. My hubby got an omelette with spinach and mushrooms which of course I stole a bite of. It was even better than mine, he always orders better than me. Will be coming back here to try more items on the menu, and possibly trying it for lunch. There were several tempting lunch options too. The staff is amazing!! We came in with my twin toddlers who were slightly crabby and their focus was immediately on my boys. Drink and food order for them was taken before I could even ask. While we waited for their food the owner or manger asked me if they like grapes and brought out a bowl of grapes with a knife. My husband and I have been to this location several times and it is always very consistent. Good food and service at a good price. We took my mother in law here a few Saturdays ago and had the BEST customer service experience!! Gary was an amazing server and new! Our food had issues: my husband order a steak that was way under done, my mother in law's eggs were way over done, and I had eggahells in my omelette. We didn't want to complain, but Gary could tell something was wrong. We explained and next thing we know, the manager, Vera, was bringing us new food and comped our meal! They both apologized profusely and Gary continued to give us excellent service even after that.
