A trip to Claremore at breakfast time gave the opportunity for breakfast with my wife. We chose Eggberts for a good country breakfast. I selected the Rancher's choice (an 8 oz ribeye) with cheesy hash browns and 3 eggs. The service was great. We had an older waitress that knew her job and did it well. I was favorably impressed that the cook managed to cook everything to my satisfaction. That said the ribeye was choice quality but not tough. Everything was good but not great food. My wife and I were driving through Claremore, OK on Route 66. Stopped at Eggbert's for lunch. My BLT with fresh fruit was perfect. My wife's chicken salad with a vinaigrette was delicious. Our waitress l's name was Amber. She couldn't have been more sweet, more timely, or more responsive to our needs. She represented the restaurant incredibly well. She brought us a slice of coconut pie, which was awesome. If you're in the neighborhood, give it a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

Food prices are affordable. I like how that this is a breakfast place but they also have lunch options such as the newly added Cuban Sandwich. I'd recommend that they have ginger ale or pineapple juice in stock. I don't drink apple juice and orange juice is too thick to consume on a hot summer day. read more

Their food is always great but then again I always get the breakfast. lol The last service we had was this young lady with high energy and her service was amazing. She was always at the table before we needed refills and had a great attitude. Surprisingly when we went it was Sunday morning around 9 and it was very empty which surprised me lol. My son, grandson and I go to Eggbert's a couple of times per month. Love, love, love their breakfasts!

The food here is always great. One thing to note is when we went in for a senior lunch, we both ordered the chicken fried chicken meal. Came with Mash potatoes with gravy a roll and one side. My wife asked if we could get fried okra as our side. The sever that took our order said yes. When the bill came, we were both charged an extra 79 cents extra for the side. She never said that it was extra and the menu simply said it came with one side. Not to mention that this isn't the first time we were charged extra for a side. Baked potato as a side came with an unexpected extra charge of about $1.50 when we ate there awhile back as well. If these sides are extra, update your menu and at the very least, have the servers express that. We'll still be eating there, but this is disappointing. read more

We've been coming here for years. If you're traveling through or new to the area I highly recommend it. There are times they are very busy- there a reason for that, it's worth the wait. Small town atmosphere and friendly staff. So if you don't mind a wait, stop by. Matt is always so pleasant and keeps an eye on what's going on. I like seeing a business owner willing to jump in and lend a hand when needed. Our food is always delicious and very reasonably priced. They serve breakfast all day with a large menu to choose from. So I move toward bench to get with the program and another couple comes in. Immediate acknowledgement. Girl cones in and seats them ahead of us. First woman at counter, rude. This place is 100% success at any time of the day, the atmosphere and service are always pleasant. The dishes are a consistent success. We've always loved Eggberts but here the past few visits seem to have cooking problems. The servers are very nice no issues there. Our half our order the past few times have been cold! My wife and I decided to stop by and get some breakfast. We entered in and was greeted by a waitress almost immediately, even though they were busy. What few table they had available were clean and tidy and the environment was friendly. My wife ordered the traditional breakfast and I ordered the meat lovers omelette, with hash browns, wheat toast, and a side order of biscuits and gravy. Everything we received was hot and delicious. The omelette was packed full of flavor and the biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was thick with sausage chunks. The only reason I give Eggbert's 4 stars and not 5 is because I needed my water refilled and had to ask. But other than that friendly staff, clean restaurant, and delicious food. read more

Just to make anyone aware who orders the chicken parmesan - the menu says two chicken breast but they only give you one. The lead waitress Jan looked at me like I was stupid and said "it's boneless chicken" which I couldn't understand how that would matter so when that didn't satisfy me she said they sometimes cook two chicken breast together which obviously wasn't the case so then she said that's how we've always served it. Which is a problem to me because they are essentially ripping off everyone who orders and pays for two chicken breast. So when they wouldn't give me what I ordered and would be paying for and after waiting at least 30 minutes for the food in the first place, I took my two year old daughters pancakes from who was not happy about that and we left and went to cotton patch which was really good Edit: this is how they responded. If its 6oz split I totally understand but that's all they had to say when I was there but they didn't. Another update: here is another response which is exactly what the issue is. He was trying to be rude and condescending but he just further proved why I left the review in the first place. I'm not a smoker but they have a smoking room inside. Not many of these left in Oklahoma. Lately the service has improved and the servers have a new uniform. I think it's helped boost morale. I still think the food is mediocre but the breakfast is solid. Easy 3 stars for me but it's nothing to write home about. This is one of those restaurants that feels old and well used... the interior is ok, has not been updated in at least 20 years, as a guess.. the ceiling tiles are brown looking and the ceiling vents dirty...bathrooms are the same..tired... But the waitress was so very nice and helpful in choosing our food... Food came out in reasonable time.. the potato soup was good with ham, and corn in it and cheese on top... the angus burger was 1/3 lb. With pepper Jack cheese was good, they toast the bun, making it so much better. The egg omelette,hash browns breakfast was average... Nothing special about it...they do have a lovely fireplace that was warm. Prices are very reasonable with a senior menu. The Chicken Fried Steak breakfast comes with 3 eggs, hash browns and choice of toast or 1 biscuit. The gravy is served on the meat and biscuit unless you request it on the side. The CFS was well seasoned. The order of hash browns was small but the meal is more than enough to fill you up. read more

I was in Claremore a couple of weeks ago & saw the billboard for this place. I was attracted by the "seniors eat free from 2-5" note. So I decided to try it. I went in & was seated. There were a couple of things that looked good. When the server came to take my order, I mentioned that I'd seen that sign and was told that it applied to orders of 2 meals only. In other words, a senior alone couldn't eat free. I was stunned. So they would cover 2 meals, but not 1? And not everyone is with another person. The sign should read as such in that case.
