Bad experience. The guy taking the order was in a bad mood and had a major attitude from the beginning. We ordered 2 subs. No mayo and got mayo in our sandwiches. Usually they cut sandwiches in half these weren't. They told us they had ran out of tomatoes. How do you run out? Well the girl making the subs says we'll we didn't anticipate being this busy so we didn't cut enough but they have some in the back but it would take some time. (Mind you it wasn't even busy) So she made our subs without and told the other guy we were ok with that?! We were not. So we waited another 10 mins. They put our sandwiches on the counter and we had to ask for a bag and bag it ourselves. We got home and the subs had mayo and the bread was so hard. This was the worse experience. So Jimmy John's was my favorite sandwich spot when I lived in Arizona for college, and I am so glad they expanded out to my home area in the recent years! This store was remarkably clean and modern, and the staff was so warm and welcoming. I ordered the Vito with bacon which is one of my favorites, second only to the Bootlegger club with bacon. The sandwich was delicious as expected, and was made quickly while I admired the funny signs and decorations that Jimmy John's is known for. As usual, I made sure to get a few loaves of the day-old bread and used it to make sandwiches and garlic bread in the days that followed. I'll definitely be back very soon! Not a bad sandwich but the kids need to learn how to make it better. The bread has a chew to it almost like a soft pretzel. The flavor is there in the ingredients. This was my first visit and I saw that sprouts were unavailable. Minus 1 star for lack of sprouts but I was informed that sprouts are seasonal. Candice took my order and it came out very fast for the Turkey Tom with all the extra freebie add ons such as cucumbers, onions, sauce, oregano and provided yellow mustard packets. The sandwich costs an extra $1.00 for cheese so it's really $7.99 instead of $6.99. I thought it was interesting that the mustard packets were provided with the sandwich but not in the sandwich. I only used 1 packet instead of the 2 given so it's nice because I know how much mustard I like on it but I did not need the other packet. Bread was baked fresh and was warm when I bit into the sandwich. The sandwich artist had warned me it would be hot when she handed it to me. The bread is warm and you can truly taste the freshness. I've had the turkey and also the totally tuna. My favorite one is for sure the totally tuna. It is Pretty hearty and the special sauce makes it super moist and delicious. You can either have white bread or 7 grain. I have had both and prefer the 7 grain. The tuna sandwich is pretty hearty and filling. Get a combo with their own chips- the jalapeño ones are the best. The place is super clean and the employees seem nice. My friend forgot to ask for no mayo and to ask for a different bread. They didn't hesitate to make a new one in a jiffy ( it may have helped that she's drop dead gorgeous, haha but still, kuddos for satisfying the customer). Also, they deliver. Nice! read more

Very good sandwiches by far one of my favorite place to get a good sandwich. There is a catch the worst customer service and I'm going to target this at the store manager no sense of humor. I had a greet him first and responded to me with an attitude I just want to do my job and finish my shift People like that should not be anywhere near a wonderful establishment such as Jimmy John's all they do is cause negative feedback and I think twice when I want to sandwich but I have to bite my lip because it's one of my favorite anybody in charge of this facility in Oxnard besides the store manager Should come and do some adjustments before it's too late manager by the name of Juan should not be dealing with customers at all made me sick to my stomach where I had to throw my food away. When you order a 16 inch sammich and you pay $20 dollars for it and they send you only half!!! Annoying..had to call the store and ask them what happened and the kid that answered the phone has the bits to ask "Well, do you want me to send the other half or what"? My Experience today was the worst I have received by far from any food establishment. There is a bearded gentlemen that works here and is the most unpleasant person. If he is an owner this is not how to run a business. His mere attitude is unprofessional to say they very least. I had also asked for avocado spread on the side, instead of my sandwich which is $1.00 to add and after I already paid they young lady that helped me got a stern talking to because "they dont put spread on the side, that's not how they do things and its $2.50" When I got my side of spread I couldn't even put it on half the sandwich. Went to my local Jimmy John's as I often do and on this particular occasion there was a mistake in my order which caused my total to be incorrect. Since I eat there often, I just handed my card off to pay my bill without taking notice of the error until I got home. I contacted Jimmy John's website to inform them of the error and in no time at all I received an apology and an in-store gift card for far more than the amount of the original error. Most places ignore this kind of thing, figuring customers are just trying to get free food. Jimmy John's corrected this small error and reached out to make it right. Tried this place out as a backup lunch plan. Not impressed, probably won't really go back. First thing odd to me was the "free smells" neon sign in the window. The menu seemed too limited to me and I wasn't that keen on spending $7 for the less meat sandwich. Service was fast and the cashiers were fine. Place is clean. Sandwiches were made swiftly but had , I felt ,too much shredded lettuce to meat ratio. I had the vito I think and the salami smelled and tasted good but the vinaigrette didn't seem too present and the provolone cheese was so thin and barely had any flavor. The bread was a slim sub roll and seemed so bland. After eating the sandwich I had the strange sensation that I hadnt actually eaten anything at all.
