This is Yelp, so I need to recommend a few things to order. Their chef salad is HUGE. The club sandwich is a great offering. And the one you'll skip over but shouldn't is the Adkins Special, which is 3 eggs and 2 meats (or 2x one meat) -- no bread, no fruit, no potatoes. Sometimes you just need to go all proteins! Anyway, all of these are great options. Also, their "numbered" deli sandwiches are all good choices. We remain regulars. Although I have only checked in about 40 times we are there at least twice a month. If you see me come say hi!

I want to share my thoughts and why I think it's 5 stars and not pricey. So, first, I love the salami here. I bought a few kind of Salami but the German Salami is very nice. Now that being said, as of today it's like $20/lb. But, few important things to note. 1) it's Imported from Europe. 2) The richness & complexity of flavor is so much better than your $7.99/lb grocery store chain salami. You won't be disappointed. Sure, many of the products may be unfamiliar or even written in a language you might not understand. But the staff is friendly and we're glad to answer my questions. As I am sure they will be glad to answer yours. And, honestly, go in and ask them what they recommend. Try thier favorite foods and favorite desserts. I tried their black currant dressert (black currants are not widely available in the US but are delightful) and I never would have if I didn't ask for a recommendation. At minimum, go in and get 1/4lb of cured meats, some dessert, some bread, and why not some mashed potato dumplings (perogies)... You won't be disappointed.

Great sandwiches. Fresh taste. I like their brand of chips. Sweet tea is good but not great. For goodness sake, would it kill you to get some ranch dressing? If you don't like mayo, I guess you have to eat you sub dry, because they don't have ranch dressing. Service is pretty unenthusiastic, and I get it, who is excited to be working in quick-service food? That said, many locations are friendlier, and Firehouse seems to be another victim of the competitive marketplace for hiring good staff. The one standout nice thing about this location is the tables out back, which are great to hang out at on nice days. It's a shared pavilion but so long as you come at a non-peak dinner time it is still relatively quiet. I may still return if decent app coupons come my way, but Firehouse these days is always at least three or four spots down my list of sandwich spots to frequent. They have fallen on hard times for sure. Overall: 2.5 stars ---- Pros: - Sandwiches are admittedly still good, hard to beat a good sandwich with nice sauces. - Seating in the back area is very nice on pretty days. - Good amount of easy parking. - App coupons make the value proposition a bit better... Cons: - ...But that doesn't make them high value. - Service is super low energy, even by casual dining standards.
