Horrible service and quality. Rude staff, my bread was stale and they refused to remake

Disappointed that they took my favorite The Veggie Club off the menu but what can you do. Still great sandwiches and I'll just order the #6 Veggie from now on. As with most places in this area you have to park under the overpass in back of the building. It's no big deal to me but should be noted. Nice place to eat inside because it's never to crowded but also easy to order to take on the go. Also, they deliver. Doesn't take too long in my area. read more

The sandwiches are amazing here. My order was prepared freakishly fast. The staff was very nice, but for some reason they handed me my sandwiches instead of putting it all in a bag? I'm not sure if this location is eco-friendly or something, but that was the only inconvenience other than the parking. I think the storefront is in a good area, but I don't think they have a parking lot like other locations. You have to go past a couple of more businesses and turn a corner and park behind the store kind of underneath the overpass. read more

I love jimmy johns and usually have no problem ordering delivery. This time I never got a notification that my food was delivered and the bag smelled like a straight up dog, the paper bag and the paper my sandwich was wrapped in smelled like a dog rolled all over it. Whoever doesn't clean their car to the point that it makes food smell like dog during a 7 minute drive, maybe consider doing so? Really ruined my appetite, I'll just pick it up next time and they'll miss out on my next tip :( read more

I will discuss the two times I have eaten here. The first time I was with my sister and her friend. I got the Big John #2, and my sister and her friend both got another sandwich. I was surprised that is was so cheap! It was just $17.50 ish for all three of us but no chips and drinks (we just got the free water cup). The service here is so freaking fast that I could not stop talking about it. I have never seen someone make a sandwich let alone a meal that quickly. My sandwich was really really good!! It took me forever to finish it!! The second time, I ordered for delivery. I got once again the #2. It came in about 30 min, and I am about 2 miles away from the nearest one. When the meal came, my bread was kind of hard but still pretty good. I was not as great as it was in the store. I look forward to coming again to the restaurant. read more

Ordered sandwiches at noon. At 1:26 they are still not here. Called store. They said "it's not our fault, we only have one driver today and we under projected demand. You just need to be patient." We replied, we have waited over and hour and a half. Food will be soggy, drinks watered down. I found out what it finally means to eat fresh and no it's not at Subway (sorry Subway). I'm in love with Jimmy Johns. This corporate place has, hands down, the best sandwiches. Every single ingredient is fresh, but my favorite fresh item is their bread. I could eat it all day (screw you thighs!) The ingredients are so simple: roast beef, ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese. They don't even ask you what kind of cheese. They have one and I think it's American...whatever it is, it's good! The service is super fast. I've never had a sandwich take longer than 2 minutes to make. Speaking of service, the staff there are so nice. I swear I've never seen any negativity in that place (and I go at least once a week). They do deliver, but unfortunately they don't deliver in my area, which is fine. I am more than happy to go hunt them down. So if you are craving a sandwich in Baton Rouge, JJ's is the way to go! read more

What good is a place that delivers quicker than most -- but screws up your order every time? I live two minutes away from this place and the last three times I've ordered delivery - something has been either missing from our sandwiches that we specifically requested or added on (like two ladles of mayo!). I've even received credits from the manager due to their errors but obviously giving away free food hasn't motivated the staff to correct their mistakes. I understand JJ's is trying to live up to its superman delivery promoted image but when a mess of a sub is jetted over - why bother? Outside of their lack of sandwich artistry skills, the subs taste like what I would image Wisconsin or Iowa would taste like. They are semi-filling, but so are rice cakes. Nothing special. I asked for salt and pepper to be added to my last Hunter's Club ; I was told they stopped carrying the goods long ago. Really, God's honest truth. read more

The staff was amazing. We had an error with the website when placing our order online. The manager went out of her way to call other stores to see if our order went to another location. Then she rolled up her sleeves and made our order her self so that it was done quickly and correctly. I will definitely go back to this location. read more

I am a fan of Jimmy Johns, the national sandwich chain that is destroying Mom&Pop delis across the country. I'm on a low-carb diet of sorts (ask me if you're curious) & have lots of trouble finding quick dining options around town. Enter the J.J. Gargantuan Unwhich. A delicious combo of salami, capicola, ham, roast beef, turkey, provolone, & a lettuce wrap instead of bread. Totals to only 7 net carbs & 55 grams of protein and fat. Those are some awesome stats. Anyway, these sandwiches have a certain je ne sais quoi that makes them irresistible to me. Try it out & start questioning why there isn't one in YOUR city. read more

Ordered delivery. Guy forgot my drink that I paid for. When I ordered the food online I requested that the sandwich be cut in half and it was not. Delivery driver was some rude college kid frat boy type. I'm only 22 and have worked in the service industry so I'm not being difficult. I've recently moved to this apartment so this is my first time using this Jimmy John's. The downtown location was always good, fast, and polite. I've never had an issue with them. In addition, requested the Italian vinagaretre on my sandwich. The entire bottom bread loaf was soaked in oil. Oh to top it off I was literally given TWO NAPKINS. I don't know what has happened to the quality over the years or what is up with this particular store, but it's not worth the price. I paid about $18 for my sandwich, chips, drink (which I never received), cookie, and tip. It's definitely not worth the price. I could have had a better sandwich from Subway, which is a shame because Jimmy John's used to be so good. Only gave 2 stars because it's decently fast and the French bread is fresh. read more

When you want a good meal without much effort and you wanted 20 minutes ago call this place and you usually better be counting your money when you hang up because they'll probably be knocking at your door with it in hand. Can't say I've explored the menu but I like my usual and know they won't be moving like the fast food workers you're used to. Man I love this place! There isn't much on the menu, but the little they have is really good. It's just very healthy, fresh made sandwiches. The Vito is my ultimate favorite, also tried the big John (reccomended by my teddy bear ;) ) with peppers.... Yum! They also have chips, my favorites are jalapeño and the salt and vinegar chips, I also love their giant chocolate chip cookie. It's ready in like 5 seconds, and they also deliver! read more

I checked their website tonight which said they were open till 1 am. I rode 2 miles on my bike in 40 degree weather to find them dark and closed (at 10:15 pm). Very poor communication with your customers. I will be reconsidering my dinner options going forward. read more

DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! I ordered something online, tipped my driver a dollar for my $11 purchase, but an extra ten dollars were taken out of my bank account. I have contacted Jimmy John's twice trying to resolve this issue, but no one responds. They will add additional amounts to the tip, so pay with cash! UPDATE: After sending a complaint the the BBB. Jimmy John's staff then lied to the BBB employee about the credit card receipt being changed. After several emails insisting to see the receipt. The BBB employee was able to get it and forwarded it to me. At this point, she realized this was not an idle complaint. She requested the business refund the stolen money. I received a handwritten envelope with a $10 bill, but no apology or anything. What good is freaky fast service if the driver can take whatever tip he wants! read more

Ok so everyone has raved about jimmy johns since it opened but I am one of the naysayers. Yes, it's freaky fast. Yes, it's cheap. But my problem is that the sandwiches just aren't that good. No matter what sandwich I get I feel like I am biting into a loaf of bread with the faintest sliver of meat in it. And it's smothered in mayo. If you really want to see something "freaky", look up the nutritional facts of their sandwiches online. You will be shocked - there is nothing healthy about it. You are eating bread and mayo. Even though Jimmy Johns is in a noisy location, it is quiet, but with music inside. They make their sandwiches insanely fast. Jimmy Johns has a tasty menu, with lots of choices. I recommend the Veto. The prices are reasonable. The only thing is... Make sure you have car mats, because the parking lot is horribly dust. read more

Jimmy John's is a sub shop that knows what it is, and does it right. Their menu is limited, with no exciting or exotic sandwiches (which put me off at first). However, the sandwiches, although nothing special on paper, are DELICIOUS, and made from quality ingredients. They are also very fairly priced. The best part is that they deliver - QUICKLY! - even for a single sandwich. I work a few blocks away from the Perkins location, and our staff frequently orders from JJ's for lunch. We have rarely had any issues with the food, the delivery, or the service! read more

I was and will always be a JJ fan. But I had a bad experience yesterday with Kyle at the Perkins Road location. He was short and rude while taking my order. And when I asked him about it, he said "Do you want the sandwich or your money back?" I was taken aback and felt embarrassed. He pressed on and said "well, whats it going to be? I cant just stand here waiting!" At first, I thought he was joking. Even the sandwich maker thought he was joking. I asked to see the manager and he said he was the manger and he was the owner. The person was about 30 years old and if he was the owner, he should not treat customers so harsh. I walked out of the store and immediately called another location. The person at the other store was extremely nice and said that Kyle Wilkinson is a minority owner and that his father Bruce is the majority. She also gave me the phone number to JJ headquarters in Champagne. I called and voiced my concern. JJ said they will investigate and resolve the issue. I am appreciative that JJ cares enough about customers who've had a bad experience at one of their franchise locations. As for the Perkins Road location, I hope that Kyle better understands that customers are buying sandwiches not to get into arguments or to feel threatened. They are simply wanting to enjoy lunch. I will certainly continue to frequent JJ and will continue my catering orders from other locations. However, I expect a response for JJ for this unprofessional behavior by Kyle Wilkinson. read more

Jimmy John's is an American treasure. Quality meats, delicious breads, extremely fast service (delivery too) and smiling faces behind the counter. They got it right when the made this business model. I haven't had everything on the menu, but I'll put money on the fact that it's all delectable. My only issue is that I sit directly in-between the delivery range of both the Garden District and Downtown locations...which stinks. However! The sandwiches aren't bad, but they usually need a little help if you're looking for a good kick of flavor. I usually add peppers to mine and often find myself wishing they offered more sauces and the option to toast the sandwich. Vegetarian sub was missing alfalfa sprouts, which was really disappointing because I love them, otherwise was what I expected from their subs. I called to place a delivery order and I was told that I was out of range. I was perplexed, since this location is literally 5 minutes from my house (I Google Mapped it!) and because only other nearby store, the one Downtown, is only open until 5 on weeknights... so I KNOW I've had deliveries from the Perkins Road location before. I expressed this to the cashier and he insisted that they could not drive 1.9 minutes to my home. I politely said, "That's a bummer, you're losing a customer" and he hung up on me! Would be nice if the chain expanded their menu, but the items currently available are great. One thing I like is that they not only have sandwiches, but low carb options such as the "unwich" which is essentially a sandwich wrapped in lettuce instead of bread. Great service, some of the worst food I've ever tasted. We ordered for delivery and even though gas is under $1.75 a gallon and they are 1/2 mile away (battling cancer makes one dislike going out) they still have a $2.75 delivery charge--and they EXPECT to be tipped on top of that--which I don't mind a bit--the food was EXACTLY as ordered and delivered with lightening speed and the delivery dude was super nice. However, the food was terrible. They keep their bread in the fridge which stales it in 90 minutes. Counter or freezer boys--NEVER refrigerate bread!! The bread was ice cold, leathery and horribly stale. The meats also had a very "off" flavor--like they don't wrap them and toss them all in the same bin and it's a couple days past expiration date kinda "OFF". The bacon also had a very stale "off" taste. The cookie which was prewrapped tasted like it had been made with rancid butter--the worse cookie I've ever tasted--to go with the worst hoagie I've ever been served. I thought Subway sucked until I came here--compared to this place, Subway is LaSpada's. I cannot believe how bad the food was when the service was so good--unreal. read more

We ordered a delivery order, it was made wrong so we called to get it fixed, and they said they were sending out the order again and to give back the "wrong" sandwiches because the guy claimed he made them himself and they were right. The manager was made aware and almost an hour later no replacement sandwiches had been sent. We called and the manager was again made aware of the situation and we picked up our sandwiches that they began making when we arrived and had the nerve to ask for the receipt after we handed them two uneaten wrongly prepared sandwiches. We paid a delivery fee for food we picked up, and the management is incompetent for not being concerned about customers that had such a negative experience. After an hour and a half we finally had what we ordered. I am in the service industry and would never allow my guests to be treated this way.
