(Go to Philly Me Up on Jefferson Hwy; you'll see what I mean.) I ordered their "Old School" cheesesteak. The whole experience plummeted when the young lady dressing my sandwich had the audacity to ask me if I wanted MAYONNAISE on it. Seriously? Mayonnaise?!!! On a cheesesteak??? Furthermore, people who know REAL Philly cheesesteaks know that the sandwich comes on one...and only one...roll, and it's from the Amoroso Baking Company. As for the meat, it was relatively flavorless. And the onions were virtually non-existent. Look, as a plain ol' sandwich, it was OK. But to call Charlie's "the #1 cheesesteak in the USA, officially!" is to do an unforgivable injustice to Geno's, Pat's, Larry's Famous, and countless other joints that serve REAL cheesesteaks.

He only got me on this place about a year ago......and I never looked back. This Philly cheesesteak is what everyone else wishes theirs tasted like. It is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I'm not exaggerating, I have not found anything better! AND THEN, every single thing I've tried on the menu is DIVINE! I ordered the wrong thing last time I went. My husband orders two sandwiches when he goes.....no lie. And I tried to order just one of them one time when he wasn't with me. So I ordered and took a bite and it wasn't the one I thought it was....not their fault, I just ordered the other one my husband usually does. For a place with Wagyu in the name, that claims to use Wagyu beef, it didn't taste like it. When you go to Shake Shack specifically, the taste and the flavor of beef smacks you in mouth. You know you are eating BEEF. The flavor of the beef, the fat and juice hit you and it's the main flavor that carries the burger. Wagyulicious did not hit that mark, nor did it come close. I wasn't expecting the best burger I ever had or even top 3. However, when you claim to use Wagyu beef, the beef flavor and the sear/crust have to be what carries the burger. When that didn't happen at all, it was disappointing. The meat was even a little dry, definitely not juicy and didn't contain much beef fat. Their fries are pretty good. The truffle fries were really good and had the perfect amount of truffle in my opinion. The cajun fries contained a spice mix however, I wouldn't say it was cajun. It had a sweet note which I didn't mind. We got a side of Mad Cow Sauce. It was really good and different than the run of the mill sauces you typically get at burger places. The top bun was pretty thick and the seemed very average, even for brioche. Which isn't as good as a Martin's potato bun, but I do like brioche. The service was good and we got our food in a very timely manner. Overall, not a top 10 burger I have ever had, not even top 15. Service and staff were friendly and food was served quickly.

Unless you know where Dearman's is located, it can be difficult to find for the first time because it's subtly located in a strip mall establishment. The interior is a trip back in time. The spacious dining room is complete with retro furniture, checkered floors, and old school artwork that feels like something out of the 1950s. The decor screams pure Americana and is one of the biggest draws for the many patrons that come through daily. My favorite part is their juicy burgers. Pair it with their crispy fries and their old school milkshakes, and one has a complete meal. The burgers are hearty, and the portions are substantial. They also have salads, other sandwiches (tuna is my go-to), and various options for loaded fries. The other awesome part are the prices. Minus the double cheeseburger, there are no items that exceed $10 on the entire menu. The staff is young and always enthusiastic, and they play a big part in making this place such a destination. It is group / kid-friendly, and an ideal lunch spot. Orders can be placed online, but I recommend eating in for the full experience.
