Ya'll I can't give this place enough stars. They have NEVER disappointed me...or my husband the "since day one" fan. He only got me on this place about a year ago......and I never looked back. This Philly cheesesteak is what everyone else wishes theirs tasted like. It is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I'm not exaggerating, I have not found anything better! AND THEN, every single thing I've tried on the menu is DIVINE! I ordered the wrong thing last time I went. My husband orders two sandwiches when he goes.....no lie. And I tried to order just one of them one time when he wasn't with me. So I ordered and took a bite and it wasn't the one I thought it was....not their fault, I just ordered the other one my husband usually does. And the thing is, that first bite was so juicy and flavorful, I didn't even mind. You literally cannot go wrong with this restaurant. Close your eyes, point, and spin. Whatever menu item you land on, and order will be PHENOMENAL trust me. I think I got my dad hooked, now on to the rest of the family!!! Philly Me Up is a pretty new location with an original spot in Baton Rouge, & this one definitely brings its own energy. The inside is colorful, nostalgic, & vibrant from the moment you walk in, with music playing, game quizzes on the TVs, car decorations, & bright colorful chairs that make the atmosphere feel fun. Customer service is top tier. The menu offers a variety of Philly cheesesteaks & hoagies including surf & turf, veggie, shrimp, & classic steak options plus a variety of sides. I ordered the large shrimp hoagie dressed, it was full & juicy with flavor; juice dripping everywhere, lol. I enjoyed it with loaded tots & a fountain drink. Yes ! I was greeted when I came in and I tried the Cajun chicken over fries. It was delicious! Spicy due to jalapeños (which I expected) and I got the mayo on the side. I got my order to go. Cute place and great service. I will be back! read more

The food is amazing! The whole family lives eating here. There's literally something for everyone! I love the ambiance! Very 60's hippie-esque. The person who owns this place is such a sweet woman! She talks to all of her customers as if she's known them all her life. She runs a very mom and pop like store and I love it here. read more

A good stop for those who like Philly cheese steaks in Denham Springs. It isn't the best ever but it is exactly what we expected having been to the BR location. We tried the shroom and the hoagie. Both were decent; could improve on cheese quality, but that is personal preference. We got regular fries and Philly fries; both of these were good. The staff is friendly and the environment is clean and welcoming. If you want a Philly and are in Denham, definitely give this place a try! read more

Philly Me NOT....I've Had Better I ordered The Surf N Turf served with Grilled Steak, grilled onions, grilled shrimp & white American cheese, and added green peppers and jalapenos. The bread was soft and fresh. The portion of steak was plentiful, but the steak was dry, over cooked, and bland. Very skimpy on the vegetables (onions, green peppers, jalapenos), and I didn't even see or taste the cheese or shrimp. When I think of a Philly Steak sandwich, I envision steak with lots of melted cheese cooked with sauteed vegetables. This one missed the mark and did NOT live up to its name. Great little spot! Awesome service. Every worker I've encountered has been very polite and kind. Food is great, I haven't disliked a single thing I've tried plus the prices are very reasonable imo. Tried this a couple weeks ago and it was DELICIOUS. The service was excellent. They even waited to drop the Mac and cheese bites until we arrived to ensure they were fresh. I ordered the chicken hoagie with extra cheese, and I also ordered the classic cheesesteak with extra steak and extra cheese. The chicken hoagie wasn't made correctly no lettuce or tomato or oregano. I've never left a review before but this was so disappointing i felt i had to. if you have tried the original philly me up in baton rouge do not expect a similar experience. the sandwich is closer to a jersey mikes philly cheese steak and overall very bland. The ratio of meat to everything else was bad with less than half the meat of the baton rouge location but the same amount of cheese. overall it's not a bad place, just bad compared to the baton rouge location. the service was good and the ambiance was unique with lots of volkswagen decor. read more
