WOW. I can only speak to my shopping experience here today as I didn't utilize any of the deli or…read moreother services, but from the time I entered the parking lot to the time I checked out, I was super impressed. Having decided to take a break from my Rouse's location at Drusilla for a while due to poor experiences, I was hesitant to drop in here on route to a friend's BBQ today. Thankfully i didn't let my poor local store stop me. I really like the entry way into this store- a garage feeling with fresh plants and patio furniture available for purchase. The service area is huge and spacious with a large variety of goods. I found som good pastries for sharing. The wine and beer selection is huge and well laid out. The staff was helpful. The produce section was beautifully large. I grabbed a few fresh goods for the week in addition to the party needs, and enjoyed cruising the area just to take a look. While my life doesn't often bring me to the Burbank/Lee area, I'm thankful to know there is a new, clean, and fresh Rouse's to go to. Hopefully if I ever decide to try their deli services, they will not disappoint, but i'm hesitant to do so due to their poor sister stores.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and heartbreak over the way I was treated at the…read moreRouses location on Burbank Drive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by a manager named Christophe. As a loyal Rouses customer, I never expected to leave one of your stores feeling disrespected, dismissed, and completely unheard, especially when I was simply seeking assistance with a money order refund. I purchased a money order to secure an apartment, but unfortunately, I was not approved. I went to Rouses expecting someone to help me understand the refund process and explain what steps I needed to take. Instead, what should have been a simple request for assistance turned into an upsetting experience that left me feeling as though my concerns did not matter. Before reaching my original store, I made the effort to visit two other Rouses locations that were closer to me. At the first location, I was informed that I needed my receipt. I took the time to locate it because I wanted to make sure I had everything necessary to resolve the issue. Because of the distance involved in returning home to retrieve the receipt, I also stopped at another location, where I was told that I had to return to the original store where I purchased the money order. I followed those instructions and made the trip back to my original location, believing that someone there would finally be able to assist me. Unfortunately, that is where my experience became even more upsetting. When I spoke with Christophe, his attitude was abrupt, rude, and disrespectful. Rather than taking the time to explain the policy, review my situation, or provide guidance on what I could do next, he simply told me that he refused service. I was given no meaningful explanation, no clear direction, and no assistance in understanding how to move forward. I want to be clear: I understand that businesses have policies and procedures that employees must follow. I was not demanding that anyone break a rule for me. I was asking for an explanation, basic courtesy, and an opportunity to understand my options. Even if a refund could not be processed at that moment, I deserved to be treated with dignity and respect. What hurts the most is that I made every effort to do things the right way. I traveled between locations, found my receipt, followed the instructions I was given, and returned to the original store, only to be treated as though I was a problem instead of a customer asking for help. No customer should have to leave a store feeling humiliated for seeking assistance with their own money. I am a loyal customer, and this experience has genuinely changed how I feel about the company. I have always believed that customer service should be built on patience, understanding, and respect. A manager should be someone who helps resolve concerns, communicates policies clearly, and represents the company in a positive manner. Sadly, that was not the experience I had with Christophe. I also have video footage documenting my experience, which I can provide to corporate for review if needed. I respectfully ask that this matter be taken seriously and that the interaction be reviewed fairly. I am requesting the following: * A formal review of Christophe's conduct and the way my concern was handled. * A clear written explanation of Rouses' money order refund policy and the proper procedure for my situation. * Guidance on how I can recover my money, since I was not approved for the apartment for which the money order was purchased. * A response from corporate regarding how this complaint will be addressed.

This is by far the least crowded TJ's that I've been to so that was fun, though I wasn't able to find everything that I came in to look for. I called ahead on last Tuesday to ask if they had beefless bulgogi and a designated section for their meatless frozen products. I was told that they did, but guess what, I scoured the frozen selection and did not indeed find it. There was hardly anyone working on the floor which is pretty rare. Everything was mixed up into one which made it difficult to locate anything and was a bit annoying considering I was already pressed for time and needed to get to Mississippi. The plants out front was reasonably priced and I bought a few. On the way out to checkout, I chose Manager, Trinity line, but Trinity did not speak with me at all. She didn't even acknowledge me. It was very weird and not something that I've ever experienced at any TJ's that I've been to. Usually, the cashiers are the most bubbly out of any grocery store that I've shopped at. I prefer to shop at TJ's because of their solid products and their cashiers. I think next time I stop here, I won't go through Trinity's line. It was weird since the guy before me, was greeted and got a smile from her, but I asked her how she was doing and she treated me like a tree. Anyways, I tried the TJ's exclusive licorice and it was the real deal. The mango, raspberry, and green apple mix pack was very solid and tasty. I damn near ate the whole bag last night. I got it because it has actual licorice paste in it and not just high fructose corn syrup. Another snack that I like are the sweetened orange slices by TJ's; so very delicious, but another extremely the best snack are the jerk plantain chips. I love TJ's, but I wish TJ's was located in every state, so that all people can experience the goodness of the store. This location is pretty much in a safe looking area of Baton Rouge and not too far from I-10. The parking lot is shared with other establishments. I'll definitely be back.
