We approached the counter to make a purchase. Aaron asked for the id's. I asked if he needed all three considering two of us were buying wine. He was very nasty. When asked by the one who was not buying liquor if he needed his ID, he cut him off. We all gave ID's and we were telling him it was not necessarily mandatory. He and just telling him we were in law school. He told us we needed to retake the course. The manager,Sharon, then said "deny those niggers" transaction. I told Aaron I just want my item. I asked if i could speak to the manager. She refused. She walked passed us, called us niggers again, and slammed the door. We left.

I absolutely LOVE this Rouses. Not only is it super nice on the inside, but they have delicious quick grab and go meal options. They also have some of the best sushi. Rouses in general has really good sushi, but I think this one has a really great selection. It's always a very pleasant shopping experience and I have zero complaints!

This is my favorite Rouses Market! During COVID months, they've had handwashing stations outside, staff has been spraying off carts and they have tape on the floors inside the store to mark where you should be standing, if you're waiting for something inside at a food counter. They have fried chicken and some darn good fried chicken, too! $6 for 8 pieces was legit! I came during the day and bought two orders of fried chicken and it was so delicious. Their bakery was complete with cakes ranging from single serve to full-size. I'm so impressed with their seafood section and how robust of a selection they had. It's crawfish season and I saw bags of boiled crawfish for sale. I was craving crab and they had a pint size of crab claw meat. Need ice cream? They had plenty of it. Customer service was really good, too. This is located in a brand new shopping center on Lee Drive and Burbank (called Arlington Plaza). I will definitely be back =)

The stores are always clean and well stocked. I have shopped the Rouses supermarkets since I lived in Thibodaux and Houma.

This was my first time to stop at this location as I was traveling through to Mississippi and…read moreneeded to pit stop to stock up on supplies for others. This is by far the least crowded TJ's that I've been to so that was fun, though I wasn't able to find everything that I came in to look for. I called ahead on last Tuesday to ask if they had beefless bulgogi and a designated section for their meatless frozen products. I was told that they did, but guess what, I scoured the frozen selection and did not indeed find it. There was hardly anyone working on the floor which is pretty rare. Everything was mixed up into one which made it difficult to locate anything and was a bit annoying considering I was already pressed for time and needed to get to Mississippi. The plants out front was reasonably priced and I bought a few. On the way out to checkout, I chose Manager, Trinity line, but Trinity did not speak with me at all. She didn't even acknowledge me. It was very weird and not something that I've ever experienced at any TJ's that I've been to. Usually, the cashiers are the most bubbly out of any grocery store that I've shopped at. I prefer to shop at TJ's because of their solid products and their cashiers. I think next time I stop here, I won't go through Trinity's line. It was weird since the guy before me, was greeted and got a smile from her, but I asked her how she was doing and she treated me like a tree. Anyways, I tried the TJ's exclusive licorice and it was the real deal. The mango, raspberry, and green apple mix pack was very solid and tasty. I damn near ate the whole bag last night. I got it because it has actual licorice paste in it and not just high fructose corn syrup. Another snack that I like are the sweetened orange slices by TJ's; so very delicious, but another extremely the best snack are the jerk plantain chips. I love TJ's, but I wish TJ's was located in every state, so that all people can experience the goodness of the store. This location is pretty much in a safe looking area of Baton Rouge and not too far from I-10. The parking lot is shared with other establishments. I'll definitely be back.

The employees are so kind and very helpful when I get lost in the aisles. All the food is fresh and yummy and I don't know what I would do without my Trader Joe's! And I'm actually okay with the '80s music on blast.

Can't tell you how excited I am that we got an Aldi's near by now. 3rd trip here since it opened…read morethe end of August. Finally got to take my husband so he can experience it. The parking lot and inside the store is beautifully kept clean. Spacious yet small. The friendly employees make it so nice to shop there. I had my quarter ready to get a buggy and an older man gave me his. I tried giving him my quarter and he said no because someone had given him the buggy when he got there. So when we left I did the same thing and passed the buggy along. I spent about $25 on just meat which after bagging up I got 13 meals out of for our family. Spent $107.00 and got so much more than we would had at another store.

Not just "coming soon" but OPEN! Never been to an Aldi before today and had no idea what to expect…read more(except that it's a grocery store). Someone compared it to Trader Joe's but definitely not as they don't have grab and go type meals. They do have lots of produce, meats and cheeses, frozen foods, and dry foods plus some home decor items. For some reason, it felt more like a warehouse to me as many items on display were in their shipping boxes opened up to grab one or many. The store was very open with high ceilings and no wait to check out as it's mostly self-checkout. Advised to bring your own bags. Some brands I recognized and some I did not. I saw employees stocking inventory and some at a customer service register but not a one greeted me, so again not like Trader Joe's. I have since been told of some specialty items to look out for, so rest assured, I'll be back for the "red bag chicken" aka "the chick-fil-a knock off chicken". Per advice from a friend, "If done right, air fryer or even in the oven, it's so good!! We call em (and I'm gonna spell as we pronounce in Southern accent) Chickee-feelays. Or chickees for short ."
