James was so kind and accommodating and he made the best bread I've raver had from Jimmy John's. You can tell he put so much love into each sandwich. Love seeing him every time we go!

Bootlegger club. Where's the tomatoes??

I ordered a bootlegger club and took it home to eat. This is what I got. Very little meat and no tomatoes. I won't be going back.

How can you not absolutely love Jimmy Johns? Awesome, uncomplicated subs with high-quality ingredients. If you're looking for the best sandwich you can get for the money, skip Subway, which is awful, skip Quiznos, which is overpriced, and head for Jimmy Johns. What's great about this specific Jimmy Johns is they're open late and extremely efficient. Any business looking to learn how to handle drunk customers at 3am on a major football weekend in Auburn need only look to Jimmy Johns. I can't imagine it is easy to get productivity out of your employees, but these guys have it down. With a line out the door at 3am, we made it through in 10 minutes at most. Phenomenal performance for any hour, but especially at that late hour and with customers who are often less than focused. If you're a customer here, you're lucky. After a night of hitting the awesome Auburn bars, Jimmy Johns is the one food that will prevent you from feeling like hell when you wake up in a few hours to start tailgating for the game Saturday night. Subway? Closed. Quiznos? Closed. Jimmy Johns? Open and more than ready for the late-night rush. Great work! WAR EAGLE!

I love Jimmy John's. It is great after the bars. Their sandwiches are so tasty. Never gotten delivery, but never had a bad experience.

If you want to gain weight on a sandwich with no condiments, this is the spot. My Turkey Tom's cost me $6. I tasted nothing.

A friend & I got to drop in for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The decor hasn't changed much - it's still comfortable & clean. There's free parking in the front & sides of the building. Love: service (kind, helpful); lobster egg rolls (crispy, delicious filling); turkey wrap (soft lavosh bread, dip in honey mustard & tzatziki); sweet potato chips (best in the restaurant game); toffee cake (moist, added praline pecans for crunch)

Once again it was our annual LSU women's basketball game pilgrimage so Gary, Garrett and I piled…read moreinto Paul's truck and we headed down to Auburn on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Garrett suggested Amsterdam for lunch. Located near the Auburn campus, Amsterdam is one of more well known eateries off campus. Students may not have eaten at Amsterdam, but most can point you in the right direction. I've been tricked by appearances before but Amsterdam is in a category of its own. There's a front and a back part of the building. But I didn't know that until we were led to our table in the back. The front part is a typical "smallish" restaurant with tight booths and tables. The decorations of impressionist painters adorn the walls giving the front dining room a warm inviting feel. When we were led to our table, I thought I was being led to the restrooms. We actually went past the restrooms down a small flight of stairs and into another large room. This beautiful back room was oozing the "hidden wine cellar" vibe throughout. There were tables and chairs in the center with smaller tables and chairs lining one wall and booths on another. Then there's a large full service bar lining the 3rd wall and a workstation on the 4th wall. The ceiling with hanging panels of wood moved the light beautifully and impressed me. There was also a large floor to ceiling wine rack next to our 4 top. Gary tried their Omelet. Three eggs served with conecuh sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, cheddar cheese, and potatoes. With the sourdough toast, the plating was immaculate. I didn't get to taste it, but Gary didn't have any deiicions/ Garrett opted for their Brunch special: Apple & Pecan Freeman toast. When it arrived to our table, we immediately noticed the large slices of French toast. As promised, the French toast was topped with slices of peaches and apples and butter brown sugar with white powder sugar as well. Again I didn't get to taste, but I savored it with my eye. Paul and I tried the Amsterdam Burger. He got some fries as his side, but I upgraded my side to a beautifully plated side salad. With the added fried egg, my patty was grilled to a perfect medium with just a hint of pink. Stacked with it was some lettuce, caramelized onions, applewood bacon, spicy pickles, tomato and their traditional burger sauce all squeezed together between 2 bun halves, it has to be stabbed with a long food pick to hold it together. It was juicy, tasty and just Yom Yom Yom Yom. Our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. Other notable menu items include fried brussels, lobster egg rolls, rum salmon, breakfast croissant, snickerdoodle pancakes, steak & eggs, egg white omelet and shrimp & grits. I was told their Crab Cake & Avocado is to die for. Meal prices are on the high end but Amsterdam understands how to elevate Southern comfort food.

Hensley our bartender was phenomenal and great service! It's great when I travel around and nice people are part of your day! The bar is beau tile and the cattle skulls made in Bali! If you're looking for a place that feels like a high-end hunting lodge married a modern restaurant…read moreand raised a family of delicious food and strong drinks, The Hound is your spot. I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.
