    Snack Basket!!!

Delicious food, great service. Came here on a choir trip from Georgia, wonderful spot. Chicken seasoned well, everything fresh. Sauces made in house. Will definitely recommend anyone stopping through Opelika to try them out!

    Grilled Chicken Basket

One of my favorite places to go downtown for sandwiches. It's very good. I always wind up getting the turkey gobbler can't go wrong.

Anywhere that serves Wickles is automatically in my good graces. I wish I lived closer, because all of the food they post on Facebook makes me want to dash down there. The only downside is that the tables can get a little cramped. That comes with the bodega, I get that. No fault to them, just a heads up if you're coming with a big group.

Although they were having some work done on the place they were still open for business. The young lady that waited on me was very friendly and very informative about their coffee house menu...made it much easier for my selection. While I don't live in the area I could see making this a regular coffee stop did I. PS: even have their own line of whole bean coffee.

Atmosphere is spot on when it comes to an Irish pub. (Last summer we were in Ireland, taking part in many a Guinness and other things in various pubs.) We had a wonderful waitress...and I'm sad we can't remember her name. A lady in her 40s or 50s. She was super attentive, nice and welcoming. Wait time wasn't long, everything came out quickly. Our family group had burgers, shrimp and grits and a Sheppard's pie (actually a cottage pie). We also shared an appetizer of fried green tomatoes. The portions are large and almost all of us took another full meal home when all was said and done. Tasted great, we just couldn't finish it all! The location is nice too, lots to do down that strip. As for costs, it was on par with other places with the same food quality. If you're in town, this place is a must!

A big deal was made that we would not be charged for it. A couple of us went with the grouper over jambalaya special. The fish was fantastic with a light, fried crust. Everything else was stone cold. The restaurant was a bit chaotic and our server was not to be seen so I finished most of the fish before being asked if I was enjoying my meal. We did not eat the cold side.

We tried a variety of dishes, and while some stood out, others left us a bit puzzled--especially the poutine. It came out cold and the flavor just wasn't there. The mahi was probably my favorite--it was cooked well, had a nice kick of spice, and was full of flavor. As a mushroom lover, I was excited to try the portobello mushroom appetizer.
