The workers were so so sweet, the ice cream was yummy, and both the inside and outside sitting areas were gorgeous and beautifully lit.

Oh O Town! Way to be the hidden charm of Auburn. I had an amazing experience at O Town! Let me start off by saying that this place is great for kids. They have lots of activities outside the store including connect 4, sidewalk chalk, and cornhole. One interesting fact about O Town is that they have both an ice cream truck and ice cream boat. That's right. They drive around and deliver ice cream to your boat on a boat in a lake. I read in another review that O Town was a children's boutique as well, but that is no longer the case. It is now an ice cream shop and amazing desert spot. I actually tried the Italian Ice instead of ice cream. The strawberry Italian ice was phenomenal. I do find it a bit irritating that the flavors of Italian ice were not marked, so you had to ask an employee which was which. But don't worry- the friendly associates are ready to assist you and your kids in whatever you may need. You are allowed as many samples as you like. Overall, I highly recommend O Town! Definitely give it a try if you're in the area

Thankfully O Town Ice Cream has nothing to do with that forgettable and awful boyband O-Town. There is plenty of seating, both booths and tables, at the charmingly-decorated parlor featuring a huge Opelika-themed mural and even an old bike suspended from the ceiling. A board listed all the flavors being served that day, but thankfully, the flavor names (many refer to the area) come with descriptions at the dipping cabinet. I asked the young woman at the register if the ice creams are made there, and she told me they come from a creamery in Atlanta. The guy scooping my cone was patient as we sampled but he seemed confused when I wanted two scoops in one waffle cone. Maybe no one does this here? Dunno. At any rate, I eventually got my two scoops in a waffle cone (costs a little over a buck extra). Two doubles in two waffle cones set us back $14.72, yikes! While I certainly agree that the scoops were ginormously humongous, I'd be perfectly happy with smaller scoops at less cost. Guess I'll be getting the single scoop next time. Unfortunately, the pointy end of my cone was not sealed completely, so Big Swamp Turtle was dripping out toward the end of eating my treat. Oops. The Big Swamp Turtle is buttery caramel ice cream with threads of caramel throughout and some wee caramel turtles. I was told it's one of O Town's most popular flavors, with good reason. I liked having ultra-rich buttery caramel for a change instead of the omnipresent salted caramel. The Courthouse Coffee Crunch flavor is coffee ice cream with chocolate-covered almonds and fudge swirled throughout. The coffee flavor was on the mild side, but a nice amount of mix-ins was pleasing. Who I assumed to be the owners seemed incredibly kind and laid-back; even though the shop was closing, they told us to take our time. Judging by all the last-minute traffic O Town was getting right before 9 PM, hopefully they will extend their hours in the future. Auburn-Opelika lacks for locally-owned ice cream, so I'm glad O Town is around.

Walked over for a scoop of ice cream after having early dinner with friends. Apparently, this place is both an ice cream shop and a children's gift store. Our scoops were yummy-- I ordered the courthouse coffee and enjoyed it. The ice cream here seems to melt really quickly though! I had to throw it away before I finished it because the bottom of my waffle cone started leaking!

The Chunky Monkey (reminiscent of banana pudding) was bomb dot com. I still think about it in my dreams.

O Town's Spumoni is dense, slow to melt, and delicious. I am going back today with my wife.

While we like the icecream, our FAVORITE is the chicken salad which is only served at lunchtime.
