This is one of my favorite places for dessert. During my visit, I ordered the strawberry shortcake, which was excellent. The ordering process was efficient with minimal wait time. While parking is limited, I would still recommend this location to anyone in the Tigertown area. read more

First time trying this place. Looks good smell good so let me see what's the hype about. The line was short and adequate staff to provide service. I sampled the cotton candy and birthday cake and they were great. The staff don't wear gloves nor wear hair net but they do have their hair pulled back and wear a mask. read more

Went to this location yesterday, 5-11-25. My wife simply wanted some ice cream for our anniversary. Standing in line and the two teens in front of us get greeted (nothing said to us), ok. One person start getting the orders/ice cream for them and we are still standing there waiting to be served. Three people are behind the counter, One young man actually getting together people's ice cream and two girls doing absolutely nothing. White family (3 people) comes in and one of the girls behind the counter walks past us and greets them, tells them they can sample flavors. We are looking back and forth because WTH. White lady walks around us to look at the flavors and we are looking at the girl behind the counter and still NOTHING. (It's been several minutes) I take my wife back to the car and go back in. The girl behind the counter finally looks up and walks to me to ask if I needed something. I silently went off. Told her that we had been standing there the whole time, made eye contact with her and the others, no one greeted. No one asked if we needed anything. And that was rude AH. And I told her you sat here and served this white family who came in behind us. We were standing right here, looking you in your face. She was just Judging by some of the other reviews, this seems to be the level of service to expect from this location. read more

Normally, I really enjoy going to this location as they're serving sizes are big and the ice cream is good. However, when I was in there yesterday they had eight empty slots in the display freezer. I got the $5 banana split that comes with 3 scoops and plenty of toppings. The problem was there were too many toppings so iI couldn't taste the ice cream at all. Although I got the lemon custard, birthday cake (sweet cream), and praline ice cream, everything tasted the same. The setup is really cute though and clean. I think I've finally figured out why there is always a line to the door at Marble Slab Creamery in TigerTown. It's not because the ice cream is all that fantastic (even tho it is pretty tasty!) and it's not because you get to custom design your own flavors with mix-ins. It's because of the sadistic pleasure that comes from forcing some poor minimum-wage-earning teen to develop carpal tunnel while manipulating your ice cream with a spatula on a frozen marble slab. Now that's entertainment that anyone can enjoy. I think that I feel vindicated in enjoying Marble Slab because my first job as a teen was scooping ice cream. I am sympathetic to these poor souls (who will undoubtedly smell like spoiling milk every night after work... as I know all too well), but I feel like I've paid my dues. The ice cream is really creamy and fresh tasting. My favorites are all of the chocolate varieties and the coffee. For someone who is indecisive, however, the whole marble-slab/stone-cold ice cream paradigm might just be the end of you! Sometimes I agonize over what flavor(s) of ice cream and what combination of mix-ins I am going to order, and then when the server finally gets to me in line, I end up blurting out some bizarre combination because of the pressure. I've always enjoyed my ice cream there, bizarre combination or not. I suggest you try it, if you haven't, but try to avoid prime times when the line is ridiculous. They have a frequent buyer's punch card too, which can lead to sure-and-fast addiction (also to be avoided). O-M-G. This was honestly the best experience I've had at a restaurant. I have very bad English because i was born in Mexico. I have trouble speaking to people because they usually can't understand my accent. I walked into the store and i was greeted with a little boy and a younger African American girl. They were smiling and they had a very happy attitude. When i gave them my order, they agreed and made me my icecream. I was honestly in shock because no one has ever understood me the first time i spoke, but they understood without hesitation. After I paid they smiled and said for me to have a good day! Came in with a family of 4 ready to buy ice cream. I was ready to order first, and pointed to the cone I wanted and the employees stared at me with glazed eyes, uncomprehending of my request. After a few more attempts, I was finally able to communicate my desire for ice cream. They scooped the desired flavor, but had no waffle bowls to place in in. So I selected a chocolate dipped cone, but they didn't have that either - just a stale chocolate cone on display to taunt me with the impossibility of my request. I have a child with special needs, including difficulty holding things and using his hands. I asked for a small cone with a bowl and spoon. The teenager serving us handed me the cone but no bowl or spoon. I handed it to my son who was visibly shaking. I repeated my request and the manager angrily offered me a tall styrofoam coffee cup which was too narrow to accommodate the cone. I told the manager "my son needs something wider, can I please have a bowl?" I offered to pay extra. She again, with irritation offered the tall styrofoam cup. She could clearly see my little boy struggling and was completely unmoved. Adding to that, no one used gloves or was wearing a hair net and she wasn't even wearing a hat. I will never go back. My son struggles with enough, he doesn't need inconsiderate making things more difficult. read more

Sad, but we decided to take our family here tonight (3 year old included), thinking it would be a joyous moment for all. From the start, when were told that they were out of vanilla ice cream at 7pm on a Sat night? To the tension in the air, whereas. we all felt like we were a burden that we had come there for ice cream. We bit our lips, and stuck it out though, because our grandson would not have understood if we had left. What made it worse, was watching several families walk in the door with smiles on their faces, just as we had done, to quickly see the mood changes when the employees had the same demeanor and body language with them. Their ice cream is good... when they have it. Apparently tonight wasn't the night for ice cream because the only flavors in stock were some of the least desirable including limoncello, amaretto, and cinnamon. We called ahead to ask them to make a quart up and after going through several common flavors that they were out of we asked if they could tell us what they did have. They literally told us no. We questioned that response because it was obviously ridiculous and the girl reluctantly mumbled off a list that sounded unappetizing to say the least. How does an ice cream store, especially one that supposedly makes their ice cream on site, not have vanilla? Or chocolate? I would have been bummed that they didn't have birthday cake or sweet cream but for them to have nothing but the oddest flavors is just unbelievable to me! I then drove over and walked in and the girl just said, "this is all we have". I asked what the deal was and she said they hadn't gotten a shipment in.
