I would love to post a picture of my cookies but I never got them. I was the second customer in the store at opening on a Saturday. Walked in to order at 12:01. Ordered immediately with no comment from the cashier. Waited for FORTY FIVE MINUTES with my toddler and never got a "sorry for your wait" or explanation as to why it was taking so long. I asked how much longer and she said "I just put the peanut butter cookies in the oven so maybe another 20 mins. TWENTY MORE MINUTES?!? so basically, unless you wait to wait an hour and a half for cookies with no apology or excuse, don't go there. I had to get my order refunded. It's a corporate cookie chain and certainly not a mom-and-pop bakery by any means. But I love the fact that they stay open late, the cookies are always hot and fresh, and the kids get the customers through quickly (even with large crowds after a football game). The salted caramel is fabulous and enormous. The snickerdoodles are good. But the M&M and oatmeal raisin cookies leave much to be desired. The recipe just isn't right. But if you're in Auburn and want a really tasty salted caramel cookie late at night, Insomnia is worth a stop off. read more

I visited Insomnia in the early afternoon, encountering only one staff member. The atmosphere was unwelcoming with a strange vibe. Unsure of what to order, the staff member didn't offer suggestions, instead, he walked away to use his phone. When I was ready to order he took the order then went to get the cookies. I was disappointed that he wasn't wearing gloves when using the utensils to put the cookies in the box. The cookies were okay, but I've had better at a different Insomnia location. read more

Unfortunately had a terrible experience here recently. I placed a walk in order that I ended waiting for over 40 minutes in the store. When I asked about the status I was told a couple of times that one cookie I ordered was still baking. This cookie that was holding up the process turned out not even to be a part of my order but of another entirely different order. Then the cookie butter I ordered was frozen. The brownie was stale and seemed days old--not fresh. My order was refunded but it was a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, the cookies were not even that great. Can't recommend this place if you're looking for a cookie or dessert in Auburn. read more

It was my first time at an Insomnia Cookies! I have a severe allergy to peanuts/tree nuts and the worker was so so helpful. She offered to bake new cookies in order to ensure that they were not in contact or baked with ones of allergens. She was so kind! She even said if she's ever working when I come in again it's no problem to do it again for me. I loved it! I unfortunately did not catch her name. However, she deserves praise! I have never had someone accommodate so well for me and I lovedddd my cookies. Amazing place! read more

These cookies are phenomenal! We ordered Crum...the other company that just came to town once and it was disgusting. Insomnia is light years ahead of them in all categories. The cookies are delivered straight to your door almost all hours of the day or night and all days of the week. They arrive perfectly warm and ready to eat. We haven't tried all the flavors but there isn't one we have tried that we didn't love. I will never use anyone else for cookies. You should definitely give them a try! read more

They recently got new management and Marcus is awesome. I live downtown and frequently walk my dog to get myself a cookie. I hold him when I go in stores, but this particular day Marcus stopped me. He kindly told me that dogs were no longer allowed inside because he initiated some new protocols at Insomnia due to some previous customer complaints. He then asked me what I wanted, went and grabbed my cookies, and brought them to me outside. The next time, I took my dog again but just opened the door and told them the name on the order and he ran out with it. He's so personable and seems to be impacting the business in a very positive way. Also just have to say that the past few times I have mobile ordered or gone in to order, my orders have been ready on time or the cookies I've wanted (without ordering ahead) have been stocked. The cookies are good but extremely expensive. Moreover they never have things done at the time you ordered them. They were flat out lie to your face about when things will be done and then you end up waiting another 15 minutes or even half an hour. I am done with these people. read more
