We had two three-piece chicken plates--one OG and one Spicy. The OG chicken was noticeably crispier. Our sides included rice, fries, pickles, and coleslaw. Everything was good, but the fresh pickles provided an especially nice contrast to the chicken, rice, and fries. The coleslaw had a pleasant sesame oil flavor, though, as with any creamy coleslaw, it's a bit of a roll of the dice, so I didn't eat much of it. The ranch served with the chicken seemed to be homemade--the thinner, more flavorful style rather than a thick bottled dressing. I was also curious to try some of the other sauces and dressings on the menu. Beverages: Coke products, plus some of the best proprietary teas I've had at a counter-service restaurant. The Sweet Almond Peach Tea was outstanding. Special Touches: Pickles served as a garnish and chopsticks available on the table. Portions: What you'd expect from a higher-end counter-service restaurant--filling enough to leave you satisfied, but not overly stuffed. Spice Level: The Spicy chicken had a noticeable kick but was still on the milder side in terms of heat. Service: Friendly, approachable, and efficient. Me and wife decided to come in and give this place a try. It is an Asian type chicken restaurant. They have chicken fingers as well as things like miso soup and rice. Birth me and wife got the combo meal with chicken fingers rice and fries so can only speak on that. The rice is good. Was cooked perfectly. The fries were also really good. Season very well crispy and just an overall really good fry. Now the chicken. It was fantastic. Very crispy and juicy. The seasoning was also fantastic and I think a touch of honey. The fries have the right amount of crunch and chewiness. The ranch added good flavor with a watery consistently. The tenders were dipped in a bbq sauce that's tangy and spicy. The slaw added a nice crunch. Definitely recommend. read more

The food itself is delicious though it is rather pricey, especially given how recently their prices have increased for smaller meals. Service also wasn't great; I ordered takeout and, when I went to pick it up, they stated they had run out of several vegan toppings (vegan slaw and vegan mayo) but did not offer to replace or substitute them at all, leaving me a sandwich that was literally just tofu and bread. They also threw in a sauce cup of buttermilk ranch, even though I specified that I wanted the whole order vegan, and forgot to include a side dish I paid for (was not easy trying to get a refund for that). Genuinely very yummy, greasy comfort food, especially for vegan food in this area. But it's not a place I'd frequent given the low value and I definitely plan on dining in next time. read more

This delightful shop is affordable and delicious! I am excited that I can also find several stops where I live in Atlanta. I tried it for the first time and enjoyed the Ponko tofu with rice and a side of green beans. My daughter got the Ponko chicken tacos and a side of sweet potato fries which she liked. My son ordered the Ponko chicken and side of green beans and fries. He said he could eat 10 more! We highly recommend this casual eatery! read more

So...my ATL stopped here while making our way back from 30-A. My husband tasked me of finding something that was a little bit better than your typical highway exit fast food. I've been seeing ads around the ATL for some time, so we decided to try it. We all agreed that I hit it out of the park. Ponko Chicken offers a variety of fried (and grilled) chicken options. The Original sauce is delicious and my 6 year-old would eat it. The really exciting thing is THEY HAVE GOOD VEGETABLES. We got the green beans and the mixed vegetables and my health nut husband was in heaven. I had a delicious, flavorful meal and did not feel like I had been unhealthy even though the chicken was fried. This is a really good option for a family meal. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I got the PONLO Chicken Plate with PONKO Fries and PONKO House Chips. I loved this so much they have very good portions too. Very clean restaurant except the floor is sticky and makes quite a bit of noise, but it doesn't matter to much to me. Just a little bit annoying. The customer service is very good. Very kind people and willing to help you. Our Server also gave us good recommendations. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
