Visited on a Saturday around lunch time and we were the only ones there. Not a good sign. I got 9 traditional wings and sidewinder fries. Wings were tiny but the bbq sauce was good. Sidewinder fries were very crispy and the best thing there. I think the wings, fries and drink were $18. Maybe a touch pricey but if the wings were bigger it'd be worth it. VooDoo is a small, unpretentious and clean establishment with a drive thru. They have a few locations, most of them in Alabama and oddly, one in Vegas. What is genuinely a beautiful thing is when the people working at place are still excited about their craft. It's hard to blame those that lost the spark after serving same dishes all day long. At VooDoo, the cook and the girl taking the order were both so passionate explaining their sauce selections that it became immediately clear that their wings are not likely to disappoint. It was obvious they love what they cook. Getting a dozen wings for just over thirteen bucks is quite a deal these days. The wings are fairly small, but extremely juicy and I'd much rather enjoy these over larger wings. The crust is perfect, not overly thick, but also is certainly there. Both Cajun Ranch and VooDoo sauces are spectacular. While they are ranked far apart on the heat spectrum on the chart, the difference in heat level was hardly noticeable. Highly disappointed in our buffalo chicken sandwiches that we ordered. If you take a moment to look at the pictures and use the pickle slice for size reference it's eye popping! Teeny tiny piece of chicken that I broke in half (all breading no meat) it broke in half like a potato chip. What was inside was some dry chicken and a lot of breading! When the pickle slice is bigger and thicker than the meat there's your sign! I brought our sandwiches back and was refunded. I will say though that the worker was very ditzy. No apologies just a "we can make you one with boneless wings if you'd like". Ummm no! I'll go to Wendy's & get a chicken BLT for $2 instead. Don't bother ordering from here. I Stopped on my way out of town. I had eaten here several times in the past. This was the worst experience ever. The wings looked old. No one wants eat bloody wings and that is what I got. The wings here are to me the best in the area. Big juicy wings with an amazing fry on the outside making the skin perfect. They have multiple sauces to choose from and the hot is absolutely perfect spice. Just enough heat for me where you get the heat but still get the buffalo wing flavor. This location is dine in and drive through. We went inside and ordered to go, which took about 10 mins to get our two orders. The customer service was outstanding inside and super courteous. One of the flavors I chose was the bomb and omg I was drooling so much because it was that spicy but so delicious. I also got half lemon pepper, which was good. I felt as though it was too much sauce for me. I prefer dry rub for lemon pepper. The fries were one of a kind and I really enjoyed them. They charge extra for extra ranch on the side. The prices for the wings were decent although the chicken seem to be great quality. It was very juicy and the skin was crispy just how I like it The service was great. I got my food really quick. The wings arrived barely warm and the sauce none of the sauces were flavorful. The Bomb sauce was spicy, but only in a truly painful way such that they were not consumable. Worst wings I've ever had. The Voodoo wings I had were extremely salty, approaching inedible (and my girlfriend's mango habanero were the same) . They wait till after you pay to let you know they can't do all flats. I guess all of their wings are frozen packs and they are not willing to break them up to provide a customer what they are requesting. If you can't order all flats then don't offer the option. The wings here fit all my categories I check when I want wings. Crispy, flavorful, and a good size too. The crispiness is really what made me wanna give this place 5 stars. I, like most people, hate soggy wings. My husband and I ordered these wings to go and it took us a good 20 minutes or so to get home since we were fighting some football traffic and the wings still had a great texture... Ah yes I love a good crispy, crunchy skin on a wing. Flavors were good too. I will say I wanted the medium to be a bit hotter but I also know my pallet can handle a lot more spice than most. The lemon pepper and teriyaki were delicious but my least favorite was the garlic parm by far. This was a random stop off the highway coming back home. The restaurant is very, the dining area and restroom was really clean. A good first expression. We was greeted by a very polite young lady. We ask her could she give us a good wing flavor to try for the first time. I told her that we like hot and spicy foods, But!! We had another hour and half to drive home. She said not to get the VOODOO sauce, because that is the hottest. Although I wanted to try it, But! I didn't want to be on fire and upset while driving "IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?" So! We opted out on that flavor and went for the 12 piece and got 6 lemon pepper and 6 hot and a side of potato salad. We got our order and I immediately opened it to smell and take a picture. We started trying the wings once we got back on the road. And my boyfriend noticed one wing was just full of feathers. That was disappointing, and he taste the potato salad and it wasn't good. It tasted like potatoes with a lot of sour cream. And another disappointment was the side of potato salad it cost I think $2+. And you got a scoop smaller than a ice cream scooper. But any who! the wings had a good flavor and the crispiness was also pretty good. The lady behind the counter was super-friendly and helpful to navigate the flavor menu. I got 9 wings, split between VooDoo and Cajun Ranch. I also ordered some fried pickles and a side of coleslaw. Let's get the only negative out of the way first: Skip the coleslaw. It's too sweet and drowned in sauce. I barely touched it. Ultimately, this is a wing joint so moving... The wings are pretty darn good. Interestingly I found the milder Cajun Ranch to be better as it's a rich moist sauce with some decent heat that coats the wings nicely. The VooDoo was pretty good - you can definitely taste the Sriracha and soy, but not as satisfying at the CR. The big delightful surprise was the fried pickles that were perfectly fried, crispy and a touch sour/salty. So good... Went there because WingTown wasn't open, so expensive for 12 wings I think? I think $10 or $15 for 12-15 wings. Usually at wingtown I could get 15-20 piece wing set with extra fries for $8.
