Our bookclub was on a road trip and had to stop. Luckily for me we stopped in my grandmother's hometown of Opelika, Alabama. I have never had Guthrie's. Now I can always remember it for this trip. The staff were super friendly. The food was fresh and the restaurant was spotless. The bathrooms were clean and in a prime location to also get fuel for the trip. The strips are barely bigger than a super sized nugget. And mauve that was a bit disappointing. The sauce is great. The fries are nice and crispy. read more

Very clean restaurant. All the stations were fully stocked with napkins, salt, ketchup, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean but they are locked so make sure to ask for the key up front. The food was delicious and fried just perfect and the bread is well delicious. My only complaint is that they did not have any carbonated drinks. I did not ask why but they had water, tea and lemonade. I assume the machine was broken or out of CO2 canister. I just wish there had been a sign or notified before ordering 4 boxes with drinks. read more

I have had Catherine's before I thanks to my ex-husband who was a Tusky grad and his family lives in Husky game. I have love the tasty chicken treats since then. Way before Zaxby's was on my radar. A chicken was hot as fries were warm and the slaw was perfect aside from a little salt that was needed but I didn't ask for it. The lemonade was perfection! Perfect for a drive home back to Atlanta. The crispy golden fingers are consistently good. Customer service? Not so much. If the lobby closes at 9 and there is a pick-up online order, honor that patron. On 8/26 @ 8:38, I placed an order for P/U. Once I arrived, the door was locked. An employee - a young lady with a nose piercing and eyeglasses -- carrying a spray bottle saw me, so I'm thinking maybe I should go through the drive through. The line snaked around the building. Six cars in front of me. Everything at a snail's pace. I get to the window and mentioned that I was there to pick up an online order. I was advised to come to the front. Door still locked. The same young lady opens the door. For whatever reason, this was humorous to her. No apology. Otherwise, I would have chalked this experience up to a lack of manners. Train this staff of Gen Xers or Guthrie's could repeat its history of closing shop again. I stopped by Guthrie's on my way to the Auburn vs Kentucky basketball game I haven't had it in a while so I choose to give it another try. I loved the fact how clean in it is on the inside it shows a lot about a place when they make cleaning a priority as well as customer service which was good by the way. Excellent service and delicious chicken fingers with an absolutely addicting sauce for dipping. I love places like this where they only have 4-5 items on their menu and every single one of them is delicious and done well. Ordered Uber Eats from here, called after waiting an hour and they claimed I made two meals "under the name ___" I told them that was not my last name and they said they had no orders under mine. No big deal, called Uber support who called the restaurant who then told them that my order was ready and should be sent to my house in 7-10 minutes. Sweet, food soon. 30 more minutes go by status still hasn't been changed for the order. This restaurant never made my order and just made it a hassle for me to cancel. The people on the drive-thru headset are rude. I guess they don't understand that it's difficult to hear through the intercom. The chicken fingers are pretty small, and the fries were undercooked. Some were still cold in the middle. I will probably go somewhere else in the future. read more
