Took my ford f350 here for an oil change before a road trip to Tahoe. They ended up also doing an air filter and fuel filters. On my way to Tahoe my check engine light came on and my truck went into limp mode restricting my speed. This ended up being a nightmare and mostly ruined a trip I spent thousands on and my 1 vacation. I took the truck to ford and they showed me how it was because when the air filter was changed they left the hose linked and never fully closed the airbox. This was someone just not giving a crap and blatantly obvious and cost me $200 from ford and a vacation. Will never go to a jiffylube again. read more

First of all, I had never been to a Jiffy Lube prior to this experience. I figured it would take an hour and was prepared to do so. Much to my surprise my vehicle and I were pulled into the service bay immediately. My technician, Nathan, was very affable and covered all the bases on my car's fluids. Corporate directed me to come to this location to have my oil changed due to a poor experience in the past at this location. I showed up to get my oil changed, and the polite employee went to tell his manager who was talking and relaxing with another employee out behind the business. I watched as the employee went to him and told him that corporate told me to get my oil changed here. The manager told the polite employee that he wasn't going to service my car because it was a Mercedes and didn't care that corporate told me to come here and get my car serviced He didn't even come talk to me personally or ask me about seeing the emails. I got from corporate and just kept shooting the breeze with another employee while he relaxed behind the business. When the polite employee returned to my side, I told him that the manager was not doing the right thing for the right reason, and it was completely disrespectful, however, I told the polite employee it was not his issue whatsoever. This manager does not know customer service nor have the highest interest of the corporation he's working for. Avoid inspection scam Just did an inspection in Jiffy Lube on 2nd Street El Cajon. (Of course they didn't inspect my car, they just charge and go) The oil change guy asked me the inspection that for uber or Lyft? I said for both then the guy said for uber is $22 plus tax, for both is $44 plus tax. I answered the guy I only need 1 inspection and I will send it to both companies. He continued to say they are using two different form. I told him I decided to do uber only. After I am done the inspection, I just uploaded the same form to uber and LYFT and both are accepted. Jiffy Lube just tried to make dirty money with full of bull shit. We could provide the same inspection form to any ride share company. It is not your business where the report go to. What a shame? I hope everyone here to avoid this kind of scam. read more

Gerard and the other guys on duty treated my daughter and I wonderfully. We came in to service her car about 45 minutes until closing for an oil change and tire rotation. They encountered a problem with the oil filter. Gerard worked hard and figured it out. Due to the time we spent there, they gave us the coupon rate for the oil change and the tire rotation was comped. They really took care of us. I appreciate you guys at El Cajon! read more

This place is frustrating. I got my oil changed here in May and one of the employees tightened my oil plug so tightly they cracked it. Oil had been leaking out since I got it changed. My husband checked the oil a week or two later and there was no oil left in my DIESEL Tahoe. My husband took it back in and they fixed the cracked plug. Since they made it right I decided to give them another try. This time it was the most ridiculous customer service. The lady behind me finished 45 minutes before me, as I was getting frustrated I noticed no one was working on my car. They advertise an oil change takes 15 minutes but the employees didn't bother to mention they were pumping the oil out from the top. I questioned how much longer and the employee said 5 minutes. 30 minutes later I got out of the car and waited inside with my 2 year old daughter. Finally after an hour I settled up my invoice and paid. The communication sucks and their customer service is crappy. If you have a nice car just get your oil change at the dealership. You'll be much more satisfied. There's nothing "Jiffy" about this place. I waited an hour for the laborers to change my oil with no line in front of me. read more

Shady shady shady business practices. My 18 year old daughter came in for an oil change and was upsold and extra $900 of unnecessary add (oil filter, spark plugs, etc) They did NOT communicate the cost to her and she did NOT realize she had agreed to any additional services. When we called they replied that they had her on video authorizing the work. When getting ready to check out, she was surprised with a bill over $900 - which she did not have funds to pay for. I think it's poor business practices to upsell and accept questionable authorization without explaining the cost of the add ons. read more
