Wanted to try the booze at this place for a while . Had the food from the Gibraltar Gems shack before and that is very good. Came this time to try the cocktails. Weird set up , two bars, one serves some cocktails, the other serves different cocktails beer and wine. Cocktails are pretty meh and expensive for what they are. Outside tables were not clean. No sign of anyone busing or cleaning tables so we decided to skip ordering food. Which is a shame since it is good. Will probably come back for the food, but get it to go read more

Amazing fun little place. Parking can be a challenge but highly recommend the stop! We did a "tasting" of their moon shine. Our pourer was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and personable. Live music was setting up just as we were leaving. We will make a point to stop in whenever we are in the area. read more

UPDATE: I was approached and my experience was made right. I do love this place and my whole experience was turned around. Thank you jetty wave for caring about your customers. I come here every couple of months. Can't even count how many times we've been. This is a destination for me and my family. HOWEVER today is the first time we had a negative experience. We showed up about 20 mins before they opened (which we didn't realize) and the shot brunette girl quickly closed the gate in the back by the parking lot and informed us they were not open yet. She said we were welcome to wait by the fire pits until they opened that are located in the front of the business. So we walked all the way around and she completely ignored us and refused to open the gate to let us wait by the fire pits. So we walked to the bar at the end of the road instead. I've never been made feel unwelcome here usually they're so friendly and over accommodating. Her attitude was extremely negative and made my whole party very uncomfortable. So unfortunate to have a bad taste for a business I've visited since their first day. read more

Best dinner ever! Lamb shank was beautifully prepared- the meat fell off the bone and sat on a bed of mashed chickpeas with a yummy gravy. Flourless chocolate cake and marine layer cocktail were also amazing. My guy had a chicken kebab with coconut rice and a peanut sauce and a new fashioned. We will be back! 4.5 - A wonderful find. Hubby and I enjoyed whiling away a sunny Saturday afternoon at an outside table. We don't drink much. But Gibraltar Gems' bobotie and antipasto platter were well worth the trip. Both dishes were full of fresh ingredients with lots of flavor. Beautifully presented, too. Apple crisp was not as exciting. But there are other dishes, savory and sweet, to try on another visit. read more

I organized a team building activity + dinner for our firm and sent our 11 partners here during the quarterly offsite. It's alway a nail biter hoping the team has a good time at something I've arranged. The team has not stopped raving about how much fun this was and how AMAZING the food was. They are a hard group to please when it comes to food so please know the food must have truly been AMAZING. Our CEO told me directly the hosts at Jettywave were fun, accommodating and passionate about what they do. Overpriced water downed well drinks. Yes they taste ok, I had a margarita and it was good but they pour the bottles with the labels away from the customer, meaning they are serving well or crap liquor. $15 + $3 tip I expect something better then that. Also, I was in line and there was no order, there are people standing everywhere and it seemed the bartender was just randomly asking people for their order. I waited 12 minutes in line for my second over priced drink and I just gave up and walked away. Have more bars, better booze, faster service and better ways to order. I can't blame them for wet tables and seats, but that's what happens when you have no coverings. read more

We hosted our wedding reception at Jettywave this past weekend for 34 guests and it was fantastic. Part of the outdoor patio was cordoned off for our party, and the 5 firepits/heatlamps kept us pretty warm despite the December evening chill. Our guests loved the food spread from Gibraltar Cafe - especially the mezze platter and salmon, and the distillery drinks were creative and tasty. Kimberlee was wonderful in helping us to coordinate everything in the months leading up to the event. We also appreciate that the space was kid-friendly and dog-friendly - we will definitely come back! read more

Other than the name they chose for this establishment I would be doing a disservice if I did not give them five stars. The bar tending (David and Danielle) management (Kimberlee) and distillers (Antony and Dominique) are all genuinely wonderful food and beverage individuals with a plethora of service experience and knowledge. That aside, Chef Jose Luis is arguably the best and most distinguished chef on the Half Moon Bay Coastside as the former restaurant that he owned and operated, Cafe Gibraltar, earned a Michelin Star recommendation for seven consecutive years and was the only Michelin Star restaurant on the coast at the time. If you are in the Princeton Harbor and appreciate excellent service, delightful cocktails and world class Michelin star worthy dishes you should definitely stop by. read more

My company booked a few days at Jettywave to use as a meeting space during our offsite. Kim was so helpful and easy to work with! Plus, the whole team went above and beyond to not only provide everything we asked for, but to be hospitable in every way possible (i.e. having cold water out for us always, providing chart paper and pens for our meetings, having all cords we needed to use the big screen). We had their lunch (from Gibraltar Gems) on the first day and it was delicious. They accommodated all of our dietary requests and everyone cleaned their plates. We also did a cocktail making class & distillery tour which was really fun. The whole team had a good time, learned a lot, and enjoyed the drinks we made. I like it, but I just can't go over 3 stars currently due to one hard-to-forgive weakness. Jetty Wave has made strides in the last year, in that they grew a menu (not only pizza anymore), increased the table styles (high and low) and added edible landscaping, new umbrellas and really nice fire pits - and some games. So, the ambience is a lot better and the food is much better (albeit slow to make it to the table). Those changes are good - and this should be at least 4 stars based on that. If only they would keep consistent hours, I would add at least that one more star. Sadly, it is often closed during hours advertised as being open and they close up shop if they feel like it; like last night when there were 6 tables of customers and they decided it was too slow and made a "last call" at about 6:15 pm, turning away walk-ins. They advertise Dawn Patrol Coffee from 6 am to 2 pm, but I've never once seen it open early. Do they think customers will come on the off chance they are open? How do the owners imagine customers feel when they show up looking forward to a happy relaxed time and find the shop closed? Will they try again? And, again? ‍ This could be a great addition to the community, but I suspect Jetty Wave may have to fold its tents permanently, instead of just early. That would be too bad, read more
