One women runs the spot, she serves up plenty choices of ciders (alcoholic and nonalcoholic available). Well behaving dogs welcomed. There are stacks of blankets in a bin next to the register to borrow, and fire pits which she would turn on if you request. However, she does close up when the sun goes down, check her hours. The day we were there, she decided to extend her time because it was such a lovely day (and there were lots of folks still around). The location is just by the harbor, next to the Kayak rental shop, and a large parking lot is right across the road, and the public restrooms are within a few minutes of walking distance. read more

A surprising find! This little spot is right on the water! The ciders are yummy and they have a variety of flavors. If it's your first time, I recommend ordering a flight so you can find the flavor that suits you. You just cannot beat sitting outside by the water, listening to live music! We sat in some chairs that kind of rocked a little bit, so it was enjoyable to be able to move a little bit to the music. You can bring in your own food. It wasn't crowded, so it was easy to find chairs and just relax!! We will definitely be returning! read more

The blonde woman who was there when I stopped by was rude. we asked if she was open because her two huge signs said 2-7pm but when we got closer to ask about her hours, she kept yelling at us to read the sign. She points to the smallest sign I've ever seen and she was very condescending. Her tone was off putting and since we're not from the area we didn't know she was reopening for the season. We were exploring the area and we stumbled upon OceanCiders and very glad we did! As the name suggests, they serve primarily ciders, and they have a pretty big selection. Two Towns is my favorite cider, and they had a couple offerings including the pineapple cider which is delicious. What I appreciate is that they label each of the ciders with tasting notes, so you know if it's tart, sweet, or dry. Very helpful when trying to decide. The whole setup is outdoors, with multiple seating areas for all group sizes, fire pits, and live music on Saturday afternoons. My boyfriend and I were exploring Half Moon Bay, and I've never come across a place quite like OceanCiders. This was such a cool outdoor spot to relax at. It's a ciders truck with plenty of outdoor patio style seating with a couple of fire pits, outdoor heating lamps, free blankets to use, corn hole, and live music. Because it's a ciders truck, they don't offer a food menu but sell small snacks. For those who don't drink cider or aren't in the mood for alcohol, they do offer a nonalcoholic hot cider! What and fun and cool concept and execution of a beach hangout spot! Came here for a friend's birthday celebration and we claimed the areas around the giant firepit in the middle of the place. There was plenty of seating and the pit was large and well-maintained. It was super-awesome to have live music to add to the already awesome vibe of the place. My husband and I walked across the way over to Spangler's to pick up sandwiches for dinner and we brought it with us to eat (thank goodness it was okay to bring outside food). I don't drink alcohol, so I didn't get any cider, but they had packages of s'mores for sale, so he got himself a cider and s'mores for me. What a perfect offering to have for a place with a ginormous fire pit. I had fun putting my s'more together. The marshmallows that came with it were the flat campfire kind - perfect! The chocolates were the Ghirardelli squares - also perfect! If they had coffee as an offering, that would have been ultimate perfection for me as a pairing with my sweet treat. It was pretty magical to hang out as the sun went down and enjoy the warmth of the fire enveloping us as the night air chilled. The bay was right behind us and the view was so serene. I stumbled upon this place while looking for options in Half moon bay and man WHAT A GEM! They've only recently opened and it's such a fantastic place to hang out with family and friends or for a romantic date. It's a serene location overlooking the bay and it's gorgeous at sunset. We tried their hot cider and the spicy guava cider which was on tap and they were both yum. Prices are very reasonable for the experience you get. It can get chilly and while they have fire pits and blankets, I recommend you bring a jacket. read more

Awesome!! OceanCiders is one of my favorite places to stop for a cozy outdoor experience with great ciders and snacks. The view of the harbor is front row and especially nice in the evenings. At the same time it doesn't seem Bay Area crowded and has a variety of creative seating arrangements complete with fire side benches and enclosed tented areas to share a drink with friends. I've been able to stop in at Ocean Ciders on several of my dog walks down by the kayak rentals (it's a little hard to spot from the harbor parking area, so just walk over a little to the south of the kayak rentals) and it's a great place to stop for a drink and enjoy the beautiful ocean view. It is pretty well sheltered from the wind and has great casual ambience, and really cute outdoor table set ups, heat lamps and fire pits. The owner is really friendly and can accommodate special requests and allows outside food right now given their snack menu is somewhat limited.. Very dog friendly, and everybody I've met there has had nothing but great things to say. Highly recommend it as an additional option to your usual social hangouts. read more
