    What a great venue. We are so happy to have our wedding at Mavericks House. We wanted a water front venue in the bay area. We looked at many venues, and Mavericks House perfectly fit our vision of an outdoor ocean front ceremony, indoor reception, intimate size for a small (40) guest count, and fit in our budget! The bridal suite upstairs was a lovely bonus as well. Lisa and Brittani were a pleasure to work with. They were very helpful through our planning process, very responsive to questions and clear in communications. The day went very smooth. Food, drinks, service were all great. And the photos came out very well too! We could not have asked for more.

    Mavericks House team is a well oiled machine! They totally exceeded our expectations. We wanted a simple beachy happily-ever-after party and that is what we got. Our guests raved about the food and drinks (especially the hibiscus margs). They made sure everything was set up and set out accordingly.     I had my wedding here and it was lovely! I wouldn't have changed anything. The staff are wonderful. The website was well layed out with pricing information. Communication with the venue was extremely well taken care of. Over all great experience and I would book another event with them again.

    Mavericks House was not only in a stunning location but exceeded our expectations for my daughter's October wedding with 68 guests! Working with Crystal Rose during the planning process all the way to wedding day was a breeze, she is awesome! Starting with the proposal, we could see there was a very organized process already in place to add vendors, catering, decor and set-up. There were no surprise costs as it was all disclosed up front in the proposal so we really knew from the beginning what we were looking at. The bridal suite upstairs is beautiful and spacious, had everything we needed to get great pictures and was the perfect setting to watch guests arrive. Crystal directed the rehersal and ceremony with such patience and attention to detail. We and our guests were so pleased with the food from the passed appetizers to the main dinner service. The entire day into evening flowed perfectly. We had a welcome party the night before at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company which is a sister venue and that event also exceeded our expectations with the ease of planning, delicious food and bar service. Jennifer was our contact there. Both venues were perfect choices for our events and we could not be happier with our experence!

    From start to finish, our time with Mavericks House was worth every penny! Their staff are super professional and responsive throughout the process. Their day of coordination kept our wedding movingly along and it was honestly the best day ever! We loved how catering, the bar (including bartender, rentals, and venues (rehearsal dinner was at Half Moon Bay Brewing next door) were all rolled into one experience. The outdoor patio made for a perfect cocktail hour in the sunshine with our mariachi. I cannot recommend Mavericks House enough!

    What an amazing venue to have a wedding! We just got married on 4/28/2024. And it was an amazing day. The venue, the staff everything was just perfect! Lisa and Brittani were great to work with! They did everything I asked and set up the venue exactly how I envisioned it. I could not have asked for a better day! All the guests kept complimenting me on the venue and how great it was. I'm so happy that we chose Maverick house for our wedding, it was everything and more!

    If you're looking for a BEAUTIFUL place to get married in Half Moon Bay that has the KINDEST staff, DELICIOUS food + drink, & the most PERFECT view that overlooks the water you've found it. Brittani, Annie, and Lisa from the venue were amazing to work with from the jump and they made our wedding day perfect in every way. Brittani was an absolute dream wedding event coordinator and we are so grateful that she helped us through every moment. I'm sad that I don't get to plan anymore with her because the wedding is done - I had so much fun working with her! Our wedding had about 80 people and it was a beautiful July day with good weather. The venue has both indoor and outdoor seating options for the reception. There are a lot of different food + drink options for the menu too. We had a delicious tasting session + the food on the wedding day was so yummy too. We chose this venue because: 1. We love the half moon bay brewery 2. The view + venue are beautiful 3. We loved Brittani and the staff the minute we first stepped on the grounds and had our first tour of the place! I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding and I'm so thankful we found Mavericks house. Thanks for making all our wedding dreams come true.

    I officiated a memorial service at Mavericks House for a local family. The venue was incredibly beautiful, impeccably tidy, and had an adequate sound system with dual large mounted TV screens, plus excellent drinks and catering. The staff was professional, courteous, and happy to accommodate last-minute table rearranging and special needs. The beachside location can't be topped!

    Our experience with Mavericks House was exceptional from start to finish. Communication was effortless, with easy contact via email and their event portal. Brittani, our main contact, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, ensuring that we were always up-to-date on deadlines, payments, and required documentation/forms. The venue's payment schedule and pricing structure were transparent and easy to understand, and the payment portal made transactions simple and convenient. The portal also let us refer to current and past documents at any time, making planning much easier. One of the highlights of our experience was the delicious food and drinks provided by the venue. The menu we chose offered a variety of options, including 3 cocktail hour appetizers, starter salad, 3 different mains, 2 sides, a churro bar, wine list, beer list, and His/Hers signature cocktails. The tasting process to choose our menu and drink list was not only enjoyable but also helped us customize our selections to our preferences. During the tasting, we also chose tablecloth/napkin colors, table configurations, and many other details for our wedding. They also took into consideration our guests with sensitive food allergies. We needed accommodations for gluten free, nut free, and shellfish free guests. Our guests with these allergies said the staff were very helpful and provided food they could enjoy. One thing that truly set this venue apart was their accommodation for guests who didn't drink. They allowed us to have two His/Hers signature cocktails and a mocktail, ensuring that everyone had a special drink option. Additionally, they provided Martinelli sparkling cider in addition to champagne for our toast, catering to our non-drinking guests. Throughout our wedding day, the staff provided full support and assistance when necessary, including helping us set up our DIY decor/centerpieces. Whenever we wanted to get more drinks from the bar, a staff member made us feel special by getting our drinks quickly, making us feel like the VIPs of our event! Since we were busy taking photos during our cocktail hour, at dinner, the staff provided us with a sampler plate of the appetizers we missed during cocktail hour, which was very thoughtful! At the end of the night, clean up was a breeze as the staff quickly and efficiently helped us clean up well before our 11pm cut-off time. Overall, our experience with Mavericks House was wonderful, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a picturesque venue that offers great food, drinks, and exceptional service.

    Choosing the Mavericks House as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions of our life! I chose this location right away for the location (walking distance to the Marine Reserve for pictures), the price (within the range for comparable venues), the fact you can get married and have the reception in the same place, and because I was able to bring in all my own vendors. Sharon, the owner and the woman who is essentially the day-of coordinator, was an absolute joy to work with. She was always honest and straight forward with me and walked me through many of the preparations leading up to the wedding. We had to do some very last minute contingency planning for rain, but Sharon was there helping the entire way through. Even though we got a rainy day and didn't get to enjoy the full beauty of the venue, Sharon saved the day many times over for us and made using Cypress Meadows worth every penny. I will never forget standing with my father, ready to walk down the aisle, and waiting for Sharon to let us know when we were supposed to go, because after all, we'd never done the wedding thing before. Cypress Meadows gets my absolute highest recommendation. Brides will not be sorry using this venue and it would also be great for corporate events and more!

We had a themed brunch, taped the candy dots on the wall to make "lickable wallpaper", Sharon loaned us a tv and we had the movies playing in the background as the "Wonkavision" corner. It was just a blast! Afterward we were able to play cornhole, lawn bowling, wiffle balls in the back. It was the best birthday I could have ever imagined and I don't think it would have been as special if it was anywhere else!

They offered complementary wine in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Their breakfast was provided by nearby bakeries which was really nice to support/highlight local businesses! The hotel was clean, quiet, and staff were all very friendly. Even the interactions that we witnessed were all very helpful and pleasant. This hotel is walking distance to a few restaurants by utilizing the walking path along the water. The only negative about our stay was the temperature in the room. It was very warm (even in March) and since there is no air conditioning we were forced to keep the back door open and bugs were coming in from the crack of the screen door. There's even a little glass of dum dums suckers on the counter for the little ones or those young at heart 2) Room amenities - everything you can ask for including 2 burner stove, water kettle, Keurig coffee machine with several coffee pods, set of dishes (3 cups, 3 mugs, 3 plates, utensils), microwave, frig, ironing board, standing fan, extra pillows, large sofa enough to fit 4 adults, fireplace with wood chips for burning, 2 tv's - one in living area and one at the bottom of the bed, balcony overlooking the ocean and toaster. The shower had bottles of shampoo, conditioner and cleanser. I don't think they missed anything -except toothpaste! You're on your own with that. Balcony had 2 chairs for you to sit and enjoy the view. 3) Hot tub and pool - we only tried the hot tub which was very hot in the beginning but after soaking in for a few minutes you get acclimated and it's relaxing. Officially fits 10 but so spacious can fit more. Towels available at front desk. 4) Complimentary continental breakfast - everything you can ask for that does not require any cooking including various pastries, bagels, muffins, oatmeal with toppings, yogurt with various toppings, apple or orange juice, coffee, tea, apples, pears, bananas, hard boiled eggs and toaster (for the sliced bread or bagels). There are wooden trays if you want to take some food to your room. There are 4 large round tables with 8 chairs for seating and a fireplace burning. There's something for everyone! You can also eat outside on the patio with ocean view. (There were also a few GF options.) 5) 5:30 complimentary wine in lobby area. 6) Self service cold water - small plastic cups available in lobby area We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.     The Hiddenbrooke Hills team went above and beyond on my wedding day!…read more Leading up to the wedding, I was honestly pretty anxious since I had been coordinating with multiple vendors and only had about four meetings with the Wedgewood Hiddenbrooke Hills team about the big day. But to my surprise, both the rehearsal and wedding day were completely stress-free! Christina, Taylor, and the entire team truly took care of me and my loved ones from start to finish. And can I just say -- my guests had so much fun! From the overflowing drinks at the bar, the gorgeous and spacious venue, to the amazing food during cocktail hour and dinner -- everything was absolutely perfect. I honestly couldn't have imagined a better day. Thank you so much, Hiddenbrooke Hills team!

    Elite Package Ok…read moreit's a long one but if you're going to invest money anywhere I think it could be helpful to make an informed decision. So overall I think the concept and idea of all inclusive planning is cool and can help ease some wedding planning stresses but throughout, I've explained it (when people ask) as a bunch of companies that have decided to partner to work cohesively but mostly to maintain working relationship. You will need to reach out to each vendor and make appointment with them and meet whether face to face or over zooms but aside from wedgewood.. Same as you would if it were not all inclusive. Again what it does however, is gives you dedicated partners that are working closely on a constant basis... we decided to go with wedgewood because we have 1 year old twins and figured it would be a great fit for our situation. The staff are really friendly and extremely nice. You have a good amount of meetings with Wedgewood(maybe 3 plus a binder pick up so 4), in my opinion not too many, but I'm also local. You go through the run down, multiple times of what to expect, what the steps to come are, and how you'd like your day to look. Planning and coordination The day of, leading up to the ceremony, the day was seamless. Maybe an hour or 30 minutes before the ceremony the officiant meets with us in separate rooms (in my opinion too late in the process to iron over last minute details) I expressed a detail I'd liked altered and he gives me push back, to the point where I have to remind him this is my wedding. Floral Florals were nice, however I asked for only greenery on the tables and there were blooms. Also there were supposed to be guttered petals lining the ceremony isle instead there were 4 bags of petals unopened piled at the start of the isle. When I reached out to wedgewood they expressed the florist did not give them any instruction--but again as stated you have multiple meetings over the course of time and it states plainly in the paperwork that is an element of the ceremony Ceremony As the bride I can only speak to when I entered. But there was some issue with walkie talkies that ultimately delayed my entry. The song I was to enter to (I wanted no more than the first 54 seconds to play) was pretty much done after I was driven about 25mph on the back of a golf cart to the ceremony... hunny the hair is getting thrown all over from the wind, I'm holding on in hopes that I'm not thrown, to show up and my song is almost over. At this point ok we're gonna roll with the punches Officially yours I think the officiant thinks we've all come to see him. I kinda had strange vibes in our meeting but I like to trust that people are able to perform in their expertise maybe better than they can explain. We did ask for prayer in our initial and only meeting but a lot more interpretation was given rather than word. Danville bakery I absolutely loved this bakery, the owner was lovely very accommodating and listened to the things that were important to me. We picked up a tasting box and faxed back our request. Again I'm local so no big deal for me iMobile dj The dj was very good he was familiar with our music genre preferences and sound system was good throughout ceremony and reception. We met via zoom he made sure he understood our preferences and what we expected the day to look like, even provided recommendations Buffet capt I didn't have much a a close interaction with the catering staff. I appreciate them making sure all our small guests were served promptly. Even at the end of the night Vicki made sure the groom and I had food to take with us in case we didn't get a chance to enjoy our food due to the days flow. However the next day a lot of guest said they didn't get cake, and these were guest that don't communicate with each other and also no cake was sent back with us. Per the next day response of our coordinator stated each seat had a slice and there wasn't any left... mmm I dunno Our dedicated coordinator left at the beginning of our reception. Kinda strange but aside from cake issues our reception was fire (we had a really good dj) Overall experience I don't plan to have another wedding but if I could do it again I wouldn't necessarily make this route my first option. Again they are really nice but the actual flow of the ceremony needs more dedication. If there is a rehearsal and multiple meetings where we discuss how the day should look, I expect my day to reflect that. Yea things happen but we (if lucky) only get married once, these businesses function daily and could be a lot more fluid. Maybe don't depend on walkie talkies, maybe keep a copy of the plans on hand and make sure detail are covered. At the end of the night we tipped coordinators, dj, buffet capt, and bar tender. Side note: To be fair I reached out the next day expressed my gratitude and asked for possible resolve. I was replied to the next day (folks get busy) and no accountability was taken.
