West Point Cocktail
Andrea Z.

Visited on a Saturday around 2:30pm, space was fairly busy, most tables and seats in the front patio were taken, with a few spots inside the bar and on the side of the bar. Got in line to place my order which was fairly quick maybe 4 guest ahead of me and took about 5-10 minutes to place my order. Drinks were prepped and served after ordering and food orders came with a buzzer to pick up from the kitchen when ready maybe a 10-15minute wait. Drinks: West Point - cocktail had a solid balance of acidity and sweetness with subtle flavors from the gin, lemon forward with subtle pineapple flavor wished this had a touch more pineapple but a personal preference Food: Tlayudita - a small plate with a crispy corn tortilla base that's about 6" in diameter topped with savory creamy refried beans, salsa and tomatillo which added a nice heat along with tangy refreshing bright acidity, chewy strips of queso oaxaca, creamy crema that added richness and cilantro, a great starter Service was good, easy ordering at the register and pick up from the food window, asked for napkins and utensils at the food window, water was self serve. Live band playing was fun and really added to the ambiance, several fire pits are set up around the distillery so definitely a great spot to relax with a drink and snack in half moon bay. Overall enjoyed jettywave a nice spot to enjoy a cocktail and a snack, would definitely come back to try more of the menu nice variety of drinks and solid food menu to choose from. Worth a visit post beach in Half moon bay.

Really cool spot in half moon bay! We hiked the mavericks trail and then headed here afterwards for a drink. Fun, outdoorsy ambiance and there happened to be live music. I'll have to try the food next time it looked delish but we were wanting seafood so next time.

I'm not an alcohol drinker by any means, but Jettywave's gin and cocktails are so darn good and easy to drink that I convert just for them. Their botanical gin is incredibly fragrant and their cocktails strike the perfect balance of flavor profiles. Besides their great cocktails, they also serve a yummy menu of international flavors. They have limited indoor seating as well as a cute outdoor area with bonfires. They get bonus points from me for being dog-friendly. I definitely recommend if you're a fan of gin or craft cocktails.

Night time ambience go crazy! Perfect way to wind the day down and an enjoy a nice brew and while embracing the great outdoors!

Such a relaxed atmosphere with great drinks and food. Walking distance from the beach, restraunts, shopping and The Inn at The Mavericks

One of the trendiest spots in Half Moon Bay, just steps from the beach. We came here for brunch on a beautiful sunny Saturday -- a little chilly, but they had the firepits going, which made it cozy and perfect. The whole place gives off super chill, lazy weekend morning vibes. The food was as creative as it was beautiful -- definitely Instagram-worthy. My salad was outstanding, fresh and flavorful, and the flourless chocolate cake caught my eye... glad I tried it, because I'd honestly come back just for that. The space itself is a win: spacious outdoor seating, dog-friendly, and a lovely indoor setup too. Overall, Jettywave is the kind of spot that makes Half Moon Bay weekends feel special. Perfect for: brunch with friends after a beach walk.

I didn't get a chance to attend the Yelp event they had for this place but I heard great things and had to check it out. This place is spacious and has lots of seating outdoors as well as indoor spots. They have bourbon and they also have a few other spirits. Their specialty is gin. I tried the One Wet Nob and it was tasty! Amazing and fragrant with the herbal deliciousness. The foods were also sooo amazing! Loved the refreshing take on the Moroccan salas and the South African Bobotie was rich and flavorful. This came with coconut rice. I want to have this again. It was so yummy. The sliced almonds and crunchy topping hit the spot and added complexity to this dish. It's dog friendly. Staff were nice as well. They don't have many restrooms so that can be a bit of an issue with a wait. Otherwise, cool spot!

Enjoyable experience. Plenty of seating outdoors with fire heat lamps and a covered indoor for tastings and merch. We tried a few dishes, including butternut squash soup and the Japanese pumpkin curry, which had good flavor. I wish portion sizes were a bit larger, but I guess we were here for the distillery with food as the added bonus. The spirits themselves were great, so I recommend the cocktails and flights (I got the Marine Layer). Service is mainly order at the bar and pick up yourself to bring to your table, but overall nice.

Great joint, with a killer vibe and a cool selection of in house spirits. Awesome service Julia rocks.

Came here for a private event and really enjoyed ourselves. The drinks and the food were really great. The bartenders are kind of slow though and weren't too friendly. The outdoor vibe is great - lots of seating, with heaters and fire pits. Would definitely come back again if I'm in HMB.

We came by for drinks after a walk along the bay and it was a very comfortable outdoor spot. They have an indoor bar too for tastings of their own distillery products but we just tried a couple of their cocktails. Pretty good and interesting flavors! They had food offerings too but we didn't get any. The people there were so friendly and efficient too!

Umm mixed feels about this place. Confusing at first, because it's not clear how "things" work here. If you see an open table, grab it or have someone from your party sit there as you walk straight back to the bar area and order drinks. They will then explain that you order and pay for drinks separately from the food and beer truck. Nice that they are very dog friendly here. The food that we did try was cute- nice use of pre-prepped ingredients for the Meze plate and all the little salads were good. Just hard to navigate, order the drinks, walk over to order food, sit down if lucky to get a table, back to check on the drinks and someone needs to get the food that is ready. We didn't sit together for a while as one had to sit with the dogs so we didn't lose the table. Didn't try any of the spirits. We wouldn't come back unless staying within walking distance.

Wait for your buzzer to go off to get your food

We stopped by on a chilly Saturday afternoon for lunch. There was plenty of outdoor sitting in the dog friendly patio. We didn't order drinks, but enjoyed their delicious food. They have vast menu options for all the taste buds. There was an employee raking the patio while we ate which caused dust to go everywhere, but otherwise we had a pleasant experience.

Venue: We held the ceremony and cocktail hour outside and the reception indoors. Guests loved the deck and waterfront views. It was a bit windy at first, but the deck blocked most of it. Our 3:45 PM May ceremony was shady, so I wouldn't recommend fans or parasols for the main lawn. There's also another ceremony area beyond the trees that looked sunnier, we used that area to take family formals. We had 7 tables inside, but it definitely can fit at least 8, though a few tables must be broken down for the dance floor. We used that space for younger guests, which worked fine. One of the biggest perks was the in-house catering and many inclusions, which made planning much easier. Not having to coordinate multiple vendors kept everything streamlined. From our first tour, Crystal and Lisa were wonderful. Crystal was especially helpful and was basically our wedding planner/day of coordinator. On the wedding day, she and the team even helped set up our DIY décor, which we really appreciated. We brought everything from SF, and they were very accommodating. The venue also has great coastal décor that fit our theme perfectly. Food: The complimentary tasting was fun! Trying the food, drinks, and picking linens made it feel more real. We didn't love the passed appetizers served that day, so we chose different menu items. Guests especially liked the clam chowder, mahi mahi, pesto penne, and hibiscus margarita! The tri-tip was a bit tough, but likely because of us pushing dinner to start a bit later. We also added stationed appetizers for cocktail hour and late-night flatbread. I'd suggest placing the flatbread on the deck instead of near the dance floor so guests can enjoy it more easily. DJ: We loved how connected the deck and reception space felt--you could step outside for a drink, still hear the music, and easily return to the dance floor. We chose Mark Addington from the venue's approved DJ list, and he was fantastic. He kept everything running smoothly and brought great energy to the celebration. Culture & Entertainment: We wanted to include a tea ceremony and lion dancing, and Maverick's House made both easy. The upstairs bridal suite was a peaceful setting for our tea ceremony, and the outdoor space worked perfectly for the lion dance. We were the first couple to have lion dancing at the venue, and we appreciated being able to do that. We're so grateful we chose Maverick's House and couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding!
