I just had the extreme displeasure of dealing with the store counter worker of one Jesse James Comics. I walked into the store after getting off a 14 1/2 hour work day. I went into the store and I needed change for a 20 to give my friend who gave me a ride 5$ so I politely asked the guy behind the counter Arron "Hey can you break a 20 dollar bill for me please?" and he decided to give me shit and respond with "Well why should I?". I was trying to be nice and answered "you don't have to, I was just asking if you would" and he decided to break it for me but while he did he decided to shit talk me in front of customers and other people i know saying "Well I really shouldn't break this for you since all your fucking doing is coming up here to break this to go buy cards outside and fucking disrespect my store but here is your fucking money. You know doing this shit is a good way to get banned right?". Alright Aaron you little self entitled fucking prick let me start off by saying I don't work 14 hours a day to take shit from an asswipe like you not do i appreciate you having no fucking respect for me as a customer or a fellow person and talking like that to me. You can go fuck yourself buddy ban me, i don't give a fuck dude, the fact is you were pissed and decided to take it out on someone who didn't do shit and wanted to assume I was being malicious when I had no intention. I got 1 card there tonight which I traded for you jackass and guess what I still have the full 20$ I can post a picture if you require it as proof of your idiocy and ignorance. Oh and don't worry about banning me you prick I won't be coming back again or supporting your business you piece of shit. You know i assume the reason you were pissed and assumed I was buying cards is because its been happening to you a lot lately. Well here is a news flash for you. None of that is my fault or anyone's fault but yours. The fact people are not buying your cards means one of two things either A you have shit cards or B your prices are shit. Don't get mad at player's for your ineptitude as a business man. Sincerely, Timothy a former customer read more

All I got to say is this place has everything you could possibly want in a comic shop and I have been to alot of them. From the moment I walked in I knew this was the store to be at. They have almost every genre and comics ranging from the 1940's to Wednesday's new issues. It's funny really they have so many back issues that it even flows into their warehouse and if you can't find what you need a nice lady named Maxine will go the extra mile and find you what you need I mean she found me some comics that I have been looking for for years. I was amazed at the amount of different comic publishers they support and order from, unlike a couple of other stores that I have been to. They have more than the big two (Marvel,DC) they have product from Zenescope,Big Dog Ink, Image, Aspen, IDW, Dark Horse, Valiant, Vertigo, Boom, Dynamite and even some really odd ones I have never heard of like omni press they also support the heck out of local books I never seen such a selection in my life. As I was looking around Jesse the owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the comics, characters, story lines. Jesse was awesome to talk to the best part was that he wasn't trying to upsell me he was just talking about comics it was great he made me feel welcome and that I was more than just a customer with money to spend which I truly respect. As I was checking out he told me about the box holder program where you are not only guaranteed your comics but you get 15% off your new issues and they come bag and boarded. Jesse also told me about Doodle night Thursdays were people get together and draw and on Friday they have a huge Pokemon card game night. After coming to this store for the first time today I can already say that this will be my new Local Comic Book Store its just to bad it took me a year to find this shop after Atomic closed read more

This store is amazing and one of my favorite comic book shops in the Valley. The owner (Jesse James) is a fantastic person just to sit and talk to and his store is very warm and inviting. After Spazdog Comics closed down, I was searching for another comic store to call my own and I stumbled upon this store on day with my friend Joshua. We were met with open arms and the people have become more like family to me now. Jesse James Comics has become a staple in the local comic book scene here in Arizona. His knowledgeable staff can help you out with your comic book needs. He as large events every so often that attract alot of local independent and professional artists and writers from around the Valley ,state and out-of-state. Jesse also organizes Doodle Nights where people can come and draw and chart with other artists. The store also has large card tournaments for Pokemon and Magic. It also sells collectables and action figures. Jesse James Comics prices are very reasonable and he even has discount comics as well, so you get more bang for your buck. Come by Jesse James Comics and prepare for a memorable experience. read more

I am now a regular customer to this comic store. I drive a distance just to get there because finding people who go out of their way for you these days is not easy to do. Maxine brings a smile to my face every time I walk in. When my eleven year old daughter and I started attending Pokemon league every Friday night , my daughter was so nerves that I didn't think she was going to want to come back , but they went out of there way to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. This is a place that will always get my business. The selection is huge and if I have a question , the owner Jesse is almost always around. I can't express how much I enjoy going there. Don't listen to bitter people who give bad ratings like David B. who probably owns a competing store . Go see for yourself ,you won't be disappointed. read more

I could not believe it, in a store that caters to kids. This guy is doing business with Convicted Sex Offender Johnathan Hock. I can only assume other similar low life must be here just as often, Makes you wonder if this place also is a pick up and drop off point for drug deals. Hmm, Maybe Maricopa County Sheriffs Office should drop by and check it all out. read more

Would never recommend this place to anyone. I was greeted by a gaming staffer named Frank who shouted and was being disrespectful towards me. The staff allowed it without question. As a business owner myself i was disappointed on how the staff handles themselves without being monitored! read more
