I am incredibly frustrated with my recent experience ordering from Subway via the Subway App. I…read moreplaced an order for delivery and received a notification that Door Dash " on behalf of Subway" would be delivering it. A few minutes later I got another notification saying my order was cancelled. To make matters worse, I noticed I had not been refunded the money from my order. I went to the Subway store and spoke with the manager, Alicia. She advised me to wait a few more days, stating that refunds typically occur within about three days. She also mentioned that if the refund did not appear, I should return and tell whoever was there that I spoke with her, and I would get my refund. I waited patiently for a few more days, but still, no refund. My husband then went to the store, only to be told by Alicia that we needed to contact Door Dash for a refund. This is unacceptable! I DID NOT ORDER THROUGH DOOR DASH. Your store hired them to deliver my order. It is Subway's responsibility to process my refund, not mine to chase down Door Dash for your error. Then Alicia had the nerve to say that she gave me free food as my return, which is completely false. I have a receipt for the order I placed while I was there the first time complaining about my canceled order. This entire experience has been incredibly disappointing and a waste of my time. I expect Subway to resolve this issue promptly and ensure that I receive my refund immediately. This is not how a reputable business should treat its customers. I contacted Subway's corporate office and was told my complaint was forwarded to the appropriate person. I will continue to post negative comments until my refund is received.

The owner came to the register and said he wanted to see my husband's id to insure it was indeed his credit card because we were leaving our waitress a $220.00 tip. (Granted, this is a business in Winchester, KY and we are from Lexington, KY where the bigger restaurants must allow their employees to get a blessed tip.) They matched up and then he proceeds to flip the credit card over and says he needs to take a picture of his credit card info along with his drivers license and also writes my husbands telephone number on the receipt. That's a big negative! My husband says no, then retrieves his cards. There's no reason he would need the credit card info and his drivers license info if the credit card had already been swiped and approved. Actually there's no reason anyone should take a front and back picture of your credit card and drivers license. The owner gets pissed off and says he will only accept $20.00 charged on the card for her tip and that our tip was an unreasonable amount for her. My husband says he will just give her cash. The owner says, that's fine, go to the bank and get cash to give to her. My husband says he has the money on him and gives her the cash in person. The owner says fine, pay your bill and thanks for tip. Excuse me asshole. That tip was not for you and I hope that she gets to keep it. From the way he acted, it seemed like he was an abusive boss/owner! Our waitress was in tears and gave us each a huge hug along with her daughter that was there. The way that this man acted was so disturbing as if his employees don't deserve to be blessed. I hope that God blesses this lady and her family that she finds a better boss then this asshole! We couldn't really express how we felt about his actions in fear of he may retaliate against her. This post is not to deter anyone from going to this business but to just inform you all that if you want to give this waitress a blessing, bring cash because her asshole, abusive, prejudiced boss won't let you and will make the employee feel as if they don't deserve a blessing. I encourage anyone and everyone to please go here and bless this waitress! She's only been at the restaurant a few weeks and she says she's just moved to Winchester from Lexington for a fresh start with her children!

For $4.10, the salads hold a personal record for me, the largest salad for the cheapest price that I've ever paid. The chef salad: lettuce, tomato, onion, shredded cheese, ham and turkey. The meat was cold cuts, but they were deli meats. The kind of deli meat that they sell there by the pound. The next time, I asked for chicken salad instead of the deli meat, but I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken salad. I also bought a pound of pimento cheese. It was fantastic! The only thing that I didn't like is that they don't use gloves when they prepare the food and I watched as one went straight from working the register to the preparing food.
