I waited a few more minutes thinking that my order was talking a little longer but after waiting for a couple other people to get their orders I finally went up and asked about my order. The manager and attendant asked what my name was and they were going to make it again without no apology. The workers were laughing about it amongst themselves and assumed I was not watching nor paying attention to what was going on. When I finally got my orders another worker brought it to me and avoided eye contact with me and just laid it on my table and didn't apologize then either. I ate my food to give me time to cool down a little and also give them an opportunity to apologize again but the later did not happen. When I finished I asked to speak to the manager and asked what happened and tried to explain why I was a little upset and they still did not apologize even when I told them all I wanted was an "I'm sorry this happened" or something for my inconvenience or anything. Multiple issues occurred here besides the mistake they made. 1) my name was never called out. 2) the other guy got my order and his and even took the extra food with him in a to go bag. 3) the employees were all snickering about the situation 4) I never was apologized to 5) the manager didn't take responsibility for their mistake and said it was my fault for not hearing my name called when it was never called! 6) and I payed full price for a meal that I had so many issues with.

The cookie was also delicious. Nothing about the taste of this meal felt like it was from a chain. That said, the restaurant interior does give fast casual vibes. I've had their small sandwiches before, and even though they're technically a small size, they've always been very filling and generously made. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The sandwich seemed like it was missing a lot of the meat that I'm used to receiving. There was only one layer of meat, and it just didn't seem like it was made correctly. If I had paid nearly $10 for this sandwich, I would have taken it back because I truly believe it was not prepared the way it should have been. The customer service at the drive-thru was also disappointing. When I pulled up to the window, the interaction felt very awkward. I could hear employees talking amongst themselves, and I felt like I was barely acknowledged. When they handed me my order, it was done without much interaction--no thank you, no greeting, nothing. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. I understand that everyone has busy moments, but this visit was far below the experience I've had at Schlotzsky's in the past. I was excited to enjoy my birthday sandwich, but I left very disappointed with both the food quality and the service.
