I have been to many Jersey mikes and was disappointed in the amount of fixings inside my sub. Normally they are averagely filled but this one was weak. They did follow my special instructions for allergy and the taste was fine but man it was weak. read more

Decent subs. A little pricey for a basic sub but it's chain restaurant so what do you expect. Mostly bread with a thin layer of meat and cheese. We ordered the meal for dinner and was surprised that there was no wait. Customers can dine in but we took our meals back to our hotel. Would I go back? Maybe if I had limited dining options again. After a loooonnng day of tournaments and tired of making the decision on where to eat, Jersey Mikes was the majority vote to grab dinner. Not because of the quality of service or food; rather the convenience of being one block from our hotel. read more

It was our first time and last time there. We ordered a chicken/bacon with only cheese. After a long wait, the subway a green pepper and a ton of pepper. Went back in, but got brushed off. I tried a couple bites on our drive home and spent the entire drive sick. I heard good things about this place, but I should have gone to Subway or Sheetz. Never again. Can't recommend this at all. read more

I work for Penn State and often find myself needing group lunches. All I need to do is reach out to Ryan and his team at the South Atherton store and my job is suddenly much easier. The customer service, food quality, and professionalism is amazing. Thank you for another incredible experience. read more

I was just there and ordered a sandwich to go, the employee started putting the toppings on and I looked down to him putting brown lettuce on my sandwich. I'm not sure why they didn't pull the brown lettuce and get fresh, so I had to tell him about it. He then proceeded to inform me that "it wasn't that bad", so I left without a brown lettuce sandwich! read more

We stopped at this location while traveling across the state. The store was clean, the ingredients were fresh, and the staff behind the counter were very personable and friendly. Our sandwiches were delicious, I would stop here again. read more

I was there 11/18 between 1:40 and 2pm and I was so happy with the service and food I received. I did a simple online pick up order, when I walked in my order was ready to go at the pick up counter. The employees working at the time were so pleasant and kind. My sub was absolutely delicious and perfect! Thank you so much for a great experience! Kudos to your awesome team! read more

Don't eat here. I ordered here via Uber Eats and after removing some of the excess lettuce there was a bug in my sandwich. I've been throwing up since. Disgusting... 0/10. Wouldn't recommended to anyone. Unsanitary practices are being conducted at this location which is insane to say when food is involved. read more

What a great experience! Always go to jersey mikes but first time at this location. Sandwich was made perfect, bread was made perfect and everyone was very nice! Definitely coming back to this one! read more

The food as usual tasted fresh and the staff are friendly and attentive A very clean store and convenient location, I will certainly be a frequent customer read more

Best subs in town, extremely friendly environment as well as a very clean lobby and kitchen.

I have had Jersey Mike's a couple times now and "meh" is pretty much my thoughts. Everyone raves about them....I don't know why. They're on par with Sheetz subs (which are ok don't get me wrong) but cost about twice as much. I spent $20 on my "giant" sub which is a little bigger than a footlong (I think). If there was a Quiznos or Jimmy John's NOT downtown where pay to park is a thing I probably wouldn't have bothered with this place. I did. It was ok. Not great. read more

Overpriced and a tip line, when many of us are already strapped for cash and the 100% price increases everywhere. Pay your employees more!!!! Don't take it out on your customers. We have our own problems! read more

The staff is always polite and professional. Plus, there's always plenty of employees so we don't have to wait in line like those other places. The food is good too. We like the cleanliness also. read more

I am 0 for 2 at the North Atherton shop. The first time there was so much water on the lettuce you could have showered with it. Tonight's order there was no lettuce on my sandwich. The sandwich was good but when I buy a hoagie I want lettuce on it. I will not be back. read more

What a great team that Matt has at this location - and they know how to make an awesome sub as well! We ordered 8 subs on New Years Eve and each one had a little tweak. They didn't miss anything and it was all stellar. The ingredients were great. The hot subs were hot, the cold ones cold - and that was after we got them home 15 minutes later to eat! On First Night, when Allen Street was swamped, they gave us a 20 minute target to have all the food ready and even gave us pointers on where to park with streets closed downtown. We walked in after 20 and they were putting the food in a bag. Nailed it!!!! I'm coming back next time I'm in State College to experience their subs of goodness again! read more

First time at Jersey Mike's! After seeing their ads CONSTANTLY on tv, we realized that we would finally be near one when we went to State College. So, before the game actually started, we wandered downtown and stopped in at Jersey Mike's. Their portion sizes are generous, their food was delicious, but my favorite part was definitely the service and hospitality. I didn't know what "Mike's Way" was and I asked and was told in a way that did not feel at all condescending which, not going to lie, was nice. I had the Italian sub and it was great! The second best sub place I've ever been to (after DiBella's). Completely worthy of five stars. The bread options were small but each looked amazing - white, wheat, and some sort of cheesy parmesan herb bread. I obviously went with the lattermost and it was SO good! Definitely get it "Mike's Way" if you don't mind oil, vinegar, oregano, spices, and lettuce, onions, and tomato. The veggies were all really fresh and the meat was on point too! Only negative - they're a Pepsi place. read more

This was the best cheese steak i've ever had in my entire life, i annoyed my girlfriend so bad about it the entire day because it's the only thing i could think of, this place is 10 out of effin 10 read more

Great sandwiches and excellent service. Call me by name. Super friendly. A testament to hiring quality persons and character. Refreshing for sure. Highly recommend. Thank you for all you do. read more

When it comes to a fast sandwich for lunch, Jersey Mike's blows Subway out of the water. Jersey Mike's is all about the deli sub, hot or cold sandwiches filled with meats, cheeses, and veggies. To me, the best thing on the menu are the sandwiches filled with italian meats like capicolla ham done "Mike's Way" with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil/vinegar, and spices. The meats are good and flavorful, the veggies are fresh and crisp, and the sandwich is big enough to fill you up. The cheesesteaks aren't bad either, and are better than the so-called "cheesesteaks" that you can buy elsewhere. The style is similar to a real philly steak with thinly slices beef and american cheese (as opposed to the abominations with bell peppers and mushrooms that you sometimes find). If you come here often, I highly recommend joining their customer loyalty program. You earn points by making orders that you can use to get sandwiches. Perfect for if you make this your regular lunch spot. There might still be better sandwiches around, but this is a chain that does it right! read more

Hi i just got a sub from there. I ordered online and put in my order for no mushrooms on the sandwich. It came with the mushrooms on it. I was sad. I picked them off and the sandwich was bomb af. I know y'all just opened for the day and you were busy and possibly hungover from Halloween festivities but damn do i hate mushrooms. Any who have a great day! read more

I'll upgrade this to 5 Stars after one more visit to confirm my suspcions...that this place has outstanding subs. They slice the meat right in front of you, the bread is fresh and homemade, and the veggies are crisp. The "super" was good- around $6.50 for the regular. We ordered and ran in a hurry, and the sub was consumed on 322 east- so one more visit with similar results will earn another star. Good subs...can't go wrong! read more

Pretty good sub chain. I had Italian and wife had cheese steak. Jets was better but mine was good. Friendly service, freshly sliced cheese and meat. Mine was Mikes way and vinegar was too much. A little pricy for 2 regular subs, 2 drinks and chips for just under 20 bucks but likely to return read more

Jersey Mikes is the pinnacle of subs. Now, I'm not from NYC and I don't frequent famous delis. But to me, this place is subs done right. Meat and cheese carved in front of you, fantastic bread that's baked fresh (actually fresh, not Subway fresh), CRISPY bacon, and high quality yuppies set this place far and above your generic Subway/Quiznos fare. Getting it Mike' way give you tomatoes and onions with Italian herbs, olive oil and red wine vinegar. The sub, defying all reason and science, is actually better the next day when it's soaked and gotten soggy. The bread is high quality and still holds together well. I believe they offer chipotle mayo, which I'm gonna try in my next club sub. Only cons: pricey for subs, and their club subs are either beef and turkey or beef and ham, not all 3 as I'm accustomed to. read more

These Subs are delicious. You can pick anything off the menu and not be disappointed. They cut the meat & cook the meat in front of you. The veggies are super fresh and crisp. Restaurant is clean . Staff is super friendly. Wait isn't long at all. Jersey Mike's is my go to place now & I love that it is nothing like subway or any other chain . ( : read more

For a chain restaurant, you really cannot get any better than this place. The staff are always incredible, the food is always amazing, and the service is always fast. I generally get hot subs and they are always made especially well. However, if your are looking for something quick, the cold subs are made right in front of your and are delicious. The restaurant itself has always been very clean and tidy. There's usually places to sit and TV's to watch if you're just there to grab a quick bite. read more

10/10 everytime! As someone from jersey who is a huge fan of delis, this spot is the best. The staff is always nice and the smallest sandwich definitely fills you up! read more

Best subs I've had in awhile. Fresh lettuce, bread, and meats. None of that Scrubway stank ass bread smell. Place is clean and they keep that shit tight from what I can tell. I'm totally anal so if I say it's clean, it is. Quick efficient and a decent price. What else can I say. Do yourself a favor and snag one of these club subs, get a six pack and call it a good night. read more

Review Update: This place has severely gained improvement since years ago. They are really good! If you are considering going to jimmy Johns, please turn around and go to Jersey Mikes instead because they are a million times better. I knocked off a star because they don't have an Italian without ham like subway does. The employees are pretty friendly. The food is definitely hot and delicious. The music atmosphere is also a bonus. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced Aaron. A man-child having an absolute temper tantrum, rude to customers AND employees alike. The other employees, particularly Bre and Nicole were pleasant in the most uncomfortable and hostile of environments. No one should have to be barked at by another employee (his name noticeably missing from the managements cards on the counter...), especially in front of a line of customers. Management will be hearing from me personally and should not expect my patronage in the future. read more

best sandwiches in state college. Don't bother going anywhere else. Philly cheesesteak is the best

I see lots of comments about Jersey Mike's being better than Subway or Jimmy Johns. Sure, but those are bottom barrel restaurants. When compared to a more proper franchise, such as Firehouse Subs or Penn Station East Coast Subs, Jersey Mike's only gets a passing grade. The sandwiches are good, but by the time you get a bag of chips and a drink you are spending $13 for the 7 1/2 inch version of the super. The fresh sliced meat thing actually bothers me because it opens you up to more chances of cross-contamination. The cheesesteaks are bad so just skip those and the chicken. Some of the other sandwiches, such as the super are good. The lettuce is just bland iceberg with a lot of core, but the rest seem fairly freshly sliced. I can do without the oil/vinegar combo or whatever it is they put on, but that is just me. The bread is good, but not on a level with East Coast or Firehouse. Same with the meats; they are good, not great and get beat by others such as Boar's Head. A good sub place, but I would prefer a East Coast Subs or since there isn't one around, Fraser Street Deli is a better option. read more

I grew up in Point Pleasant Beach and couldn't wait for Jersey Mike's to open. Their Grand Opening was busy - insanely busy - because they were doing a huge fundraiser. I waited 45 minutes in a line that went out the door and down the street. If Christian (the other reviewer) was there that weekend, I don't blame them for not heating his sandwich. Their subs are authentic and delicious, and the atmosphere is very NJ shore. Sure Subway will heat a sub but their sandwiches suck and so does their service at a lot of locations. I have personally experienced having an employee laugh at me and then get another employee from the back to come out and laugh at me because I wanted a sub without any meat. I have been to Jersey Mike's several times now and they have only been super-friendly. read more

NJ has the best subs and Jersey Mike's is a great example. All the meats and cheeses sliced right in front of you on big bread topped however you'd like. So much better than Subway. This one was big and clean and well staffed. Gets busy just like most places in town but there's two stations to keep up with the rush. Good stuff... read more

I'm a hardcore Italian sub fan. I try them EVERYWHERE and am pretty sure I know the best ones and the worst. JERSEY MIKES HAS THE BEST ITALIAN SUB IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I get it Mike's Way, add mayo. I could go on and on and on, but I won't. Ill just say their subs have perfect bread, lots of meat that's freshly sliced, non-grocery-store, delicious italian style dressing (Mike's Way!), a bit of a tiny kick like a real Italian sub should have. I'm dying for one now that I've written about it. Yes, they are EXPENSIVE for a sub. Worth it? I choose it for my birthday meal for a reason! Perfection! read more
