The service is great the food came out quick, Hot, and delicious. This is the greatest fast food chain highly recommend.

We placed an online order for breakfast to go, including chicken minis, fruit cups, chicken biscuit, yogurt parfait, and hashbrowns. Everything was great, and they did a nice job packaging the fruit cup and yogurt parfait separately from the hot foods, so everything came out at the right temperature. We love Chick-fil-A, but they have missed items in our orders more times than I can count. When I go through the drive through we know to check everything before we leave the parking lot. But sometimes other family members pick up our meals inside and we're almost always missing something from our salad orders--either the toppings or the worst is when we don't get the dressing. The dressing IS the salad! That's what happened this time. (Yes, the family member should've looked thoroughly before they brought it home, BUT should we always have to do this?? No.) They're always nice about it when I call, BUT I get tired of calling! ~ Frustrated with a salad and no dressing. read more

It's ok for fast food. Parking at this location is near impossible. The parking lot was full. People were parking wherever a car would fit. I thought the place would be absolutely packed to the gills. Inside however the place was only about a third full. Maybe 20 customers total. No waiting and plenty of seats. There were about twice as many cars compared to customers. It was a little puzzling. The food was ok. Typical Chick-fil-a chicken on a bun, waffle cut fries, and a drink for the hefty price of $11. My how fast food prices have jumped. All in all it was quite an average chick-fil-a experience. read more

First off, I DO like the company's model. Sure, it may be frustrating that they are closed on Sunday, but they are up front about it. This has to be the craziest drive thru set up I've ever seen. Positives: staff tries to be friendly, food is good, prices could be lower, but not outrageous. I know how the single lane drive through used to be; Then again, I remember when this site was a trailer park. It is so popular, traffic was spilling out onto 322. What frustrated me was, they have a split line, 2 lanes; basically supposed to work similar to a zipper merge. So you get in the shortest line. Then maybe 3-4 minutes later, some neon car with out of state plates pulls up in the parallel line. The wait is maybe 15 minutes to get your food, so you tend to notice the progress of your line and the other. So this neon car that arrived 4 minutes later than myself, gets like 6 cars ahead, they get their food, and are probably in Boalsburg by the time I get to the window. The car hops do not care. I spoke up, got a shrug. Said they are busy. At least at McD's, they seem to try to wait on people in the order that they arrive, somehow. They also have a double line at their drive through. Its a minor point, but it's about fairness, and it's actually enough for me to take my food eating dollars somewhere else. Even if it costs more, even if I get less value. Because fairness should be primary. I thought with the morals this company has, that they would see it my way, but I guess they are too busy. I would eat there again, and regularly, if they acted fairly on this. read more

Service is to be expected in a college town. Inside isn't bad if you can find a parking spot. Drivethrew is a joke. I have tried 4 times with the same results. If I can't find a spot to go inside I wouldn't eat at this location. read more

We came in for an early lunch and it was a great visit. Staff working the dining room was wonderful. They visited a little bit but not too much. If there was some thing we needed that they brought it for us. We ordered a variation of spicy and regular sandwiches a kids meal and a salad and lots of fries. It all tasted great! The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms. We will definitely come here again! The only downfall is that the play place was gone. It was a very nice seating area and it was much bigger than it was before but the kids love playing. We will definitely stop here again on our way through town! read more

Stopped here for dinner with a friend on our way to some other spots visiting State College. We were in the right lane, and ended up coasting into the line, as it was out onto the street. There are two lines, to help with the flow of traffic, that eventually transition into one. It took about 20 minutes total to wait in line and get our food. When it was our turn to order, the Chick-Fil-A employee came over to my side, the passenger side, to get our order. As we started to place it, she asked my friend if he could keep driving up, slowly, while placing our order. Well, he accepted the challenge and proved that he has more than a few well-developed skills. I added a star purely because my friend can multi-task. Unfortunately, that employee's iPad was not reading the app very well, so we had to pay at the booth. My friend made a dad joke, this employee didn't get his humor, but at least the payment was accepted. We grabbed our food, and headed to another parking lot to eat it. I got the spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles, waffle fries, a root beer with no ice, and Chick-Fil-A sauce. It was good. My friend had the chicken nuggets, waffle fries, and a Coke. He seemed to enjoy his meal. read more

Unpleasant experience for our family. After traveling over 10 hours from vacation our family wanted Chick Fil-A. Yes, it was 8:50 pm when we walked in the door, but the sign says you are opened until 9:00 pm. A young lady in a red uniform top was quite rude and with a disgusted and attitude asked if she take our order. We advised her that another employee (he was very kind) had taken our order. We were standing in the area where we had given our order(no other customers in this area) she said we could not stand there and very rudely told us to move towards the door to wait. At this point I said to her that she needed to get a better attitude. Everyone has a bad day but It was obvious she did not care and lacked good customer service. Fortunately we had our food before 9:00 pm and were out the door. Unfortunate for Chick fil A is that this is a reflection on your restaurant and her lack of training and dealing with the public. They closed to fix the drive through and made it worse. They cannot handle the amount of cars in the drive through. We placed an online order and the only option is to pick up in the drive through. We waited over 45 minutes. They brought food out to cars in the back of the line and then directed the people in front to pull up and move over to let people in the back through. They are not bringing out orders to the cars first in line. The employees are running around not knowing what cars to bring their food to. They have the Civil Air Patrol directing traffic. I love Chick-fil-a, but cannot express how much I do NOT recommend this location. They took a poor situation and made it worse. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I tried placing a catering order over the phone and the manager refused to place it. She asked for me to order catering online. After I told her I was driving and unable to get on my phone/laptop to place the order she then asked for me to call back later. It is crazy that a restaurant runs like this. This business will FAIL if this is how they operate. Do they not want to make money???? It makes me question how many times a day the managers/staff do this. I do a ton of large volume catering for the area..... I will take my business elsewhere or somewhere local. Laziness will ruin this restaurant. Sad! read more

Chick-fil-A is different than most fast food restaurants. The locations I've visited are relativity clean, large, and modern with this one being no exception. You simply don't see employees standing around; they are always busy doing work. Ordering was fast and the food was brought to our table due to it being busy. Chick-fil-A also has a great selection of various condiments, but certain sauces including BBQ and Chick-Fil-A Sauce are kept behind the counter. Perhaps the biggest difference between Chick-fil-A and say McDonalds is the food/chicken here is actually good. The only weakness is the lack of a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, but it might hurt this restaurants efficiency. I would love to have a Chick-fil-A where I live, but since I don't, my visit here was extremely good. read more

Chick-fil-A has to be my favorite fast-food restaurant chain. Amazing service and great food. The staff is always willing to help with whatever comes their way. If I have one complaint - and it is not even enough to effect a star - sauces. I looooove the sauces here and when I ask for one it is like I am taking from the employees personal stash! I am a sauces guy, and sometimes I want to take an entire packet of sauce for 1 nugget... one packet, won't cut it. I have been to other Chick-fil-As and they have a sauces bar! Wait times are horrendous. They don't have the facility to handle the amount of traffic that comes through at peak times.

I asked myself this question all the time. Do you know anyone who is ever had a bad experience at Chick-fil-A? Most likely the answer is going to be no because unlike McDonald's, KFC and places like Burger King Chick-fil-A doesn't make silly mistakes and give people the wrong meals. They also have far superior quality and top-notch service. They're one of the few fast food chains that's run properly and it shows. I've been to this location several times while in State College and never had a bad experience. In fact one time the line was all the way to Atherton Street and they pushed it through fast. They do a great job at being friendly and also delivering quality fast food. I wish every fast food location was as good as this one. read more

The location alone is horrible and causes horrendous traffic issues. Then during lent you would expect chikfila to have their fish option however they failed to get this resulting in a half hour wait at a non meal time to not eat. Absolutely ridiculous. I have eaten here several times over the last three months. At first I thought it was a fluke but the owner is giving the franchise a bad name. You use to get a nice portion of pickles, and now you get three or four tiny pieces. This has turned me off to Chick-fil-A. So the owner is it cheap operator when he is making big money. I don't want to denigrate this place because my previous unflattering review was removed, and I don't want to denigrate this place because they are often or exclusively closed when I have time to spend with my family. (I seriously did not know about their policy and just thought they were not open yet.) I do not want to denigrate them because their food is fattening but because they are dishonest. Mostly because they are dishonest. I recently bought a sandwich there, and I was offered to make it meal with my choice of sides. My choice of sides was "waffle fries". A choice of waffle fries is not a choice, it is either with waffle fries, or it is not. John Cleese comes to mind. A choice: "the act of picking or deciding between two or more possibilities". waffle fries alone is not a choice. I pointed this out to the clerk, who noted that it "was my opinion, and in addition, for an up charge I could have a wider choice such as larger waffle fries, but for the fixed price I could have a choice of 'waffle fries'." The sandwich was tasty. If they become more honest, PM me and I'll give them another chance, but given their espoused and public values, I thought this use of the word 'choice' a particularly rough choice, and as far as I could tell, deliberately misleading or written by someone who speaks a different english than I do. re: alcohol? you must be kidding me yelp. read more

We ordered breakfast online. We got to the location by 10:20am. It took forever to get to the window because of the long line of cars. When we got to the window, it was 10:32am. They told us rudely it was past 10:30 and they can't do breakfast after 10:30. We were at the restaurant well before 10:30. Rude staff. Horrible customer service. Avoid like plague. read more

This facility simply isn't built for a chick fil a. The drive thru is the issue here, too much traffic for only one lane. Everyday there is traffic backed up in the road in both directions as well as people sitting in oncoming lanes. They never seem to have to people who take your order outside so the efficiency is equivalent to that of a Wendy's. It's a shame since obviously their food is good but this just isn't a place to go to unless at extremely odd hours. read more

I know as a good card carrying homosexual, I'm supposed to boycott this self-righteous company, but I make an exception once in a while. This particular Chik-Fil-A is different than a lot of other ones in that they are always exceptionally friendly and polite. They have donated to causes that aren't the normal causes the company is known for. Politics aside, the service is amazing. They are always great. They have never once got an order wrong, and unless they are slammed, it is always very quick. While I love their original chicken, lately I've been getting their new "grilled" chicken nuggets, and forgoing the waffle fries for a fruit cup, and it is an enjoyable fast food experience. Also, skip the soda and grab their Lemonade. It is almost like Fair quality, and 1/3 the price!!! read more

Manager Bruce Herold is severely unprofessional and treated me and my associate with upright disrespect. As the store operator, you would expect some kind of decency but not from this guy.
