It does exist and it's even better than how one might imagine based on the menu. We were warmly welcomed and sat right away despite being a little early. We were at a table that was kind of awkwardly blocking a doorway and my friend had to keep moving when people went through. No big deal. Maybe just not the best spot for a table (maybe turn it sideways). Our server was amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks - I had a grapefruit spritz mocktail and my friend had a red that he really liked. To start, we had the charcuterie and the tartare. Both excellent. The tartare was so fresh and light with a little pop of spice. I had the trout and my friend had the short rib gnocchi. I was so jealous of his glutinous gnocchi but the trout was excellent. I'm not a bean person but the beans were so flavorful I could not help but to eat them. And then there was dessert. The affogato was perfect. There were a few ice cream flavors to choose from and we selected butterscotch. Highly recommend. The semifreddo. Don't let the garlic scare you. It blends well with the rich chocolate and the bright, juicy pomegranate. Try it! It's like nothing I've ever tasted before. Our server let us know they have brunch which will definitely be happening in the near future. Overall, the most perfect dinner from start to finish.

Super fresh rolls with the right texture that have some give, some squish, but still held up well to being stuffed with the steak, cheese, and add-ins/sauce. Also good quality ribeye steak that's well chopped. I prefer mine with provolone and sweet peppers, along with marinara on top. But honestly, these cheesesteaks are good enough with just steak and cheese. The fries here are shoestring, which is perfect if you don't want soggy fries when you let them sit. Penn Steaks uses beef tallow which gives it a bit more savory taste. I'm not really into beef tallow for frying, yet I still enjoyed then. I'd still prefer Five Guys fries over these. But don't let that stop you from trying them! And the service was fantastic. The person taking my order was polite and helpful. I even met one of the co-owners who was very friendly! A great guy to chit-chat if you like that sort of thing. I learned quite a bit from him during my visit. They sell their cheesesteaks in 6", 9", and 18". The 9" is generous and should satisfy most people. I might be able to finish an 18" if was really hungry and didn't add too much to it, but I'd be in pain afterwards! The 18" is better for sharing. I'll stop by more often for a good cheesesteak. Next time I'll get extra cheese on it. I know I'll probably be addicted to their cheesesteaks sooner or later. Edit: added photo of their cheesesteak

I ordered the lunch special: half of a sandwich and a cup of soup. Of course, I knew that half of a sandwich wouldn't be huge, but I expected more than three bites of food. It was $10, which did not feel worth it. Again, taste was not the problem, the honey mustard was delicious and the cheese was melted perfectly-- but I won't be ordering half of a sandwich again. I'd go back to buy the ham by the pound and make my own lunch at home though. Also wanted to mention that the store has a small rack selling Stonewall kitchen sauces, chutneys and peppers. Those looked great!

So when Mom turned 90, we knew that HBH would be the perfect place to hold her surprise birthday party! Manager Jasmine and chef Kelly made the entire process easy and fun. The decorations were very festive, and the food was so delicious and fresh! There was an assortment of sandwiches, salad with garden-fresh greens, a veggie tray with homemade ranch and dill dips (with dill fresh from the garden!), and a tray with sweet, perfectly-ripe fruit. Everyone commented on how tasty all of the food was, and many of the guests asked for "to go" boxes to take home the extras. The staff cut and served the cake and ice cream. There was a generous amount of food, and the price was even less than we expected. Many thanks to Jasmine, Kelly, and the staff at HBH for making Mom's 90th birthday truly memorable and fun for everyone! There's no better place in State College to have a delicious meal or a GREAT party!!!

Even the older lady, who they have referred to numerous times. Food was amazing! I'd give it all a 5 star, but $18 for a 14 in / $12 for a 9 in cheesesteak... is high imo & my bread was a little crunchy. It was actually close to closing time too & they didn't rush us at all. There's a woman who takes the orders, she's always working, and she'll mock or yell at you for not ordering per her standards. I order food here like I'm talking to a drill sargeant. 1 cheesesteak, with wiz, no mayo with fries. The less words the better. The fries are shoestring bag frozen type and hardly ever fully cooked. If they are cooked correctly they are good. I do like the frontier fries which have bbq sauce, whiz, and bacon. The cheesesteaks are a step up from steakum's but that's mainly due to the chewy in-house baked roll. Why do I visit -- because people I work with talk me into it about once every 6 months. Worst of all it's fairly expensive. $15 for a 9" sub, drink and fries. Honestly, a fast food place would be a better quality and value.
