Everything had the right amount of spice and the food was very fresh. If you're not sure about what to get, try the taco flight which comes with 3 tacos for $14.99. A great place to stop in for a quick bite. It's not fancy inside, but the food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. They have tacos, quesadillas, and a few bowl options. We ordered three tacos each which were all unique. The Thai BBQ Chicken with the peanut sauce was delicious. I also liked the Asian 5-Spice Beef with the chili garlic sauce which had a little heat. They don't offer the largest menu but all the dishes are super unique and flavorful! I was immediately greeted with a kind smile as I walked in. Both people working were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful! I personally tried the Asian beef, lime chicken, and buffalo chicken tacos. The Asian beef taco is an absolute MUST TRY! Even if you're not the biggest beef fan. The two chicken tacos also blew me out of the water! All of the tacos are so flavorful!!! They offer excitement in every bite! Your palate will be surprised with each burst of flavor! Carters table also offers a salsa bar, featuring a variety of fresh house made salsas! It includes lots of options at all different spices. I've heard about this place for some time. It was previously a food truck but now a brick a mortar establishment. Access in this strip mall area is not great and it's meter parking (quarter only). If you're downtown then it's worth the walk to the eastern part of town. Ambiance is similar to any fast food establishment. The menu is tacos. Not traditional style tacos but don't let that deter you from visiting. I got the taco flight (3 total). My three were 5 spice beef, thai pork and chile-lime chicken. First off these are big and full tacos. I was stuffed by the end and will opt for 2 moving forward. The 5 spice beef was delicious and my favorite. The thai pork was a close second. The chile-lime chix was just okay. All had an array of sauces and toppings that were fresh and delicious. Pricing may seem high ($4 to $5 per taco) but remember these are BIG tacos. I'd equate 2 tacos to a 9" sub. Counter service was fast and food came out quick. The owner came over to ask how it was and I was happy to tell him "delicious". I can't wait to go back! read more

I had heard about this place from several people and had been wanting to give it a try for a while since they went from being a food truck to a brick and mortar establishment. I finally found them (they are in a weird strip mall on the spooky east side of town), and my first thought was "omg $16 for a quesadilla?!?" But I swallowed and went ahead with the brisket tinga quesadilla. It was smack in the middle of the lunch rush and there was a huge line, and I fully expected to be waiting around for half an hour for my food. Fortunately, the food truck days served this restaurant well and they were speedy fast in getting everyone their food. I had only sat down for a minute before my quesadilla was ready, and I noticed the cook listening to my order and actively making the quesadilla as I ordered it - talk about fast! The quesadilla was delicious - I love the cilantro crema and chutney which does a great job rounding out the flavor profile. Going back to the price, this is easily a two person meal, and despite being starving before I came here, I took half of it home and had it for dinner. They have a great little salsa bar, and being a fan of spicy foods, I immediately went for the spiciest stuff. It was good, but then on whim I tried the chipotle salsa (mild) and wow it was by far the best. So smoky and delicious. The restaurant looks like what you would expect a food truck - turned - restaurant - in - strip mall would look like (cheap chairs, not much to write home about), but that is fine! These were the best tacos I've had in a long time. The chef clearly likes to make flavorful meat, as all four I had were incredible: lamb, brisket, beef crumble, and pork. Service was fast. We had a delicious meal at Carter's table. The tacos are delicately seasoned and truly delicious. Our favorites are the chicken, pork, and Thai taco. We also sampled the Asian, five spice and the brisket. I would recommend any of them. The five spice is definitely spicy and has that particular "five spice" flavor to it so only recommended for people who like spicy things. Check them out. Me and some friends went here for the first time last night and it was amazing! The place is cute and has a good amount of seating. The menu is not too big but the items on the menu make up for that. I got the chili lime chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. I paid about $18 for a quesadilla and a drink. I bit on the pricey side for a college town but that's not here nor there.
