I would like to give a major shout out to the staff at this location Sunday 11/2!! They were amazing. We came into our hometown for a family visit and we had a large order. The staff was so patient, kind and made great sandwiches for our large hungry group. I came here after years and loved it. Got a chipotle chicken cheesesteak and it was perfect. Bread to meat ration, not overtly dripping with cheese, good balance of onions and peppers. The meat was tender too. The staff was courteous and efficient. I'm coming back here again, sooner. read more

While I normally like Jersey Mike's I was really disappointed with this order. I ordered through DoorDash and checked off what I wanted on the app. Easy peasy right? No....I wanted banana peppers (none on the salad) oil & vinegar (none on the salad), extra meat (it sure didnt look like extra meat) AND they added mayo to my salad. I double checked my order on the app and I did indeed order how I wanted it. I rarely order through door dash but I couldn't leave lunch due to coverage issues and I spent over $20.00 (including a tip) for a salad that I didn't even eat! I would recommend going to this store in person so you can see them making your order right in front of you to avoid issues. Unfortunately, that was not an option for me today. read more

The kids behind the counter need to be made more aware of celiac and the gluten free bread option: Besides 3 other sandwiches, I ordered a mini with gluten free bread on the phone app. The app didn't give the gluten free bread option. But having had gluten free bread before, I called to see if they still offered it? I was told, "it was, and that it SHOULD be on the app." So I asked, "if I enter it in the "other instructions", would the preparers pick up on it?" He replied, "yes". When I went to pick up the order, I checked for the gluten free sandwich. When I asked, the young lady explained that they don't offer GF on mini sandwiches. So I asked, "OK. What did you give me?" She replied, "regular bread". Celiac is a debilitating disease. Providing bread either gluten WITHOUT mentioning it beforehand is irresponsible. After all, Jersey Mikes is aware of cross contamination- they wipe down the counter and utensils when ever they need to make a GF sandwich, so why would they think it's OK to substitute GF bread with regular bread? I fault the workers, not Jersey Mikes, as a whole. They had options... they could have called or texted me. OR, they could have waited until I came in to pickup the order. It would have been perfectly acceptable to make me wait to have the sandwich made correctly, rather than risk the exposure to someone with celiac to gluten. To JM credit, They DID make a replacement sandwich with GF as a regular size. They do not offer mini size in GF. Hence, all employees need to be trained on the seriousness of giving regular bread to someone with celiac. read more

I've eaten here and gotten take out countless times. My favorites include their turkey sub, the tuna sub, meatball sub, and their version of the traditional Italian sub - which I think they call "The Super Sub." The chili is pretty good too! Love Jersey Mikes! Good food, a little expensive for what it is, but it's light years better than Subway. Fair amount of choices in sandwiches a bit less on toppings. The counter is usually run by teenagers who are occasionally attentive and at least in good spirits. No one likes these kinds of jobs so I appreciate their enthusiasm. The place certainly can get busy, and with fresh cutting meat the line can back up. I often call ahead or use the online ordering so I can walk in and walk out with my goods. Filling an a way better lunch then most fast food joints. Jersey could have a worse representative nationwide. read more

Nice business. Very busy. Stood in line maybe 5 minutes. The price for roast beef and provolone was good 8 and change. My concern was with the guy putting the veggies on my sub. Asked him to change his gloves before working on my sub as he had put his hand under his underarms the rub them on his apron. He compiled. I never wait more than a few minutes for my lunch here. I get in and out very quickly which is perfect because I work close by and can run and in and out quickly without it having major impact on my lunch break. I normally get the turkey but I've had the roast beef with Swiss and it was pretty good. Definitely worth trying. read more

I was home visiting and stopped in to Jersey Mike's while doing errands because my travel partner gets faint if not fed on the hour. I was actually really surprised with how nice the line staff was - at least, for being in New Jersey. They were all friendly, smiling, and looked to be enjoying their day. The sub was decent - portions were good for the price. I have to say, I've been sad since my favorite sub shop in Eatontown relocated to Ocean Township - but this wasn't a bad option at all. read more

Customer service skills is the most important thing in todays business world. I stopped into the jersey mikes location in Shrewsbury earlier today around 4pm to inquire about purchasing 2 boxes for a work meeting. I was told they could get it done for me but they close at 8pm so dont come right when they're about to close, which is understandable. I returned there at 6:20pm to place my order but the gentleman i spoke to earlier was no longer there. The young lady who was taking orders asked if she could help me, i said yes I'd like to order 2 boxes. She we cant do that because they close at 7:30, I informed her that the gentleman told me they closed at 8 when I inquired about the boxes earlier but ok. She said nope sorry we close at 7:30. So i said well ok thats still over an hour & half away.. what can i get? And she said, with an attitude, we can make you one box but thats it. I said ok and gave her my order. I asked how many pieces are in a box. She said 4 subs cut into 3s which makes 12 pieces. So since I couldn't get 2 boxes, i asked if they could cut them into 4s instead so it would have 16 pieces and she replied with attitude, No, we only cut in 3s.. so i said ok. Paid for the box and she said give is 15min.. it was 3 workers there and they finished making my box in 5min. At this point i was the only customer in the store, there was still over a hours worth of open business since they didn't close til 7:30pm, they made me 1 box within 5min, there were no other customers in the store and it wasn't even close to 7:30 so why couldn't i order another box? Just seemed like a bunch of young employees who didn't want to do any work towards the last 2hrs of work of their day.. I wouldn't be surprised if they locked the doors early and hungout in the back of the store until closing time. All i wanted to do was by boxes for a work meeting for my company PepsiCo beverages, which could've turned into a weekly year long profit for that location but now they lost out on that opportunity. But thanks for the one box that im going to take to my office and try to cut into smaller pieces so i can hope it's enough to go around.. as i left the store around 6 something with no customers in sight. Hope you all got to relax for the last hour & 30min of work and scroll on your phones to check who posted what on Instagram lol read more

Probably one of the worst hoy sandwiches I've had in a while. I was greeted upon arrival which was nice. However, upon ordering, I was not able to clarify my toppings as the young man quickly ran off to the kitchen and never returned, so I got what was standard on the sandwich. It wouldn't have been so bad but after a 10 minute ride, the sandwich basically turned to soup. Disgustingly soggy bread which cannot be handled with your hands. I'm normally all for young folks in the work place, but the only staff I saw were young folks and once my transaction was done all 3 hid in the back. I could hear shouts of laughter. Again, I don't mind a little fun in the workplace but when quality suffers, there's a problem. I love Jersey Mike's but this location needs to get it's act together. read more
