Dirty don't bother me. Rude and disrespectful is another thing My standards are low.. but wow!

I'm a Jersey Mike's guy- but this would make you all laugh. Don't do it! The best part is I started this store with my friend Ken back in the day. The clearly the shift leader was probably the rudest lady I've ever met . Trying to bully me into changing my order to be more convenient since it was kind of late and not wanting to use the grill. So I ask extra nicely and understand that they just clean the grill but then hear manager &17 yr old cook guy talk bad about me. Then Tell me I have to wait for to go orders... but you just said grill was closed? I got my sandwich 30 minutes later. In an Empty restaurant ? That said I need some Ken help on this one, lol

The Original Italian - It seemed so good at the start.

It was for a good cause. I took a few months off of Yelping and had quite a backlog when I decided to come back. Because of that, I've strayed away from writing about places where I'd just eaten. But a mix of good deed (all proceeds today went to Rady's Children's Hospital) with utter disappointment (despite many friends raving about this joint) made me really want to get all this down before too long. It's sad to think that the standard everyone thinks of when talking about sub sandwiches is Subway; I reflected on that when writing about Subman the other day. And, when you get down to it, Subway is kinda shitty. Pre-sliced everything, dry and bland bread, and cheese where the 'processed' comes through in all six senses (yeah, you heard me); it's edible, but only just. Well, Jersey Mike's is better ... but only just. First and foremost, this place is really pricey. And for that price, you don't seem to get much. Sure, the "giant sandwich" is a bit over 14" in size ... but you're gonna pay around $1.00/inch for that meal. Add in the fact their bread is as dry and bland as Subway (and without the option of some crap baked into it), and it's tough to get excited about taking a bite. I think their only claim to fame seems to the amount of meat they stuff into their bread (which, again to make the comparison, is maybe about half as much more than what you would get at Subway). But, take a peek at their fridge behind the counter, and you can see what quality of meat they are slicing. Seriously, it's the "Jersey Mike's" brand of processed meat. It looks exactly like something you would get at Walmart or off a pallet from a third world military supply drop in the desert. Careful, Famous Dave's, you might have competition. I had The Original Italian, which tasted much more sour than salty and, either, creamy (from mayonnaise) or sweet (from lettuce and dressing), which is really the way it should be. There's no shame in vinegar on the sandwich, but there really should be that counterbalance to it that you rarely seem to find outside of an actual deli. I don't think I've ever seen a franchise sandwich shop that had it, to be honest; and I don't think I've ever seen one that had more than one basic style of vinegar ... a Balsamic would really be nice ... hmm... Anyway, my girlfriend had their Big Kahuna Cheesesteak. Despite what I noted earlier, there didn't seem to be the same level of meat in this sammich as others. Upon inspection, it apparently was because the bread was cut only halfway through, with the ends being closed as well, allowing for a shallow pouch that couldn't be 'stuffed' as much as the cold sandwiches. Add in the fact that there was an obvious dearth of mushrooms and peppers when compared to the bland steak and cheese (it should be a lot of everything!), and it dropped below the level of "eh, nothing-all-that-special." Our son had the Ham and Cheese which he had one bite of and spit out. Having a bite of my own and it was easy to see why. The dryness of the bread hit a whole new level with this one, with only mayonnaise to bring any moisture and the ham having just the barest hint of flavor, we brought it home and promptly tossed it after it taunted us from the counter for an hour and a half. All of that and a bag of chips ... for about $25 ... and a collective sigh from all of us. Still, despite the suckiness, it was for a good cause; kind of like donating blood, I guess ... hey, we even got a free cookie! So, in the end, two stars. Jersey Mike's is only slightly less shitty than Subway.

Jersey mikes is awesome and this location is no different. The location is a bit hard to find if you don't know the area, but it is near Aaron brothers and McDonald's in east Encinitas. The food here is awesome, like usual, go for either the Cali club, the regular club or the Philly cheesesteak and you can think me later. The staff here is always friendly and the establishment is always extremely clean. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good sub in Encinitas. Pros- Taste Cleanliness Menu Service Outdoor seating Cons- Crowded Hidden in corner of parking lot

So I always give the benefit of the doubt, I understand mistakes happen. That being said, I have ordered delivery from this particular location 3 times in about a month. 1st time both of our giant subs were completely wrong, even though in the confirmation it lists every detail of how they were requested. I went in the next day and they replaced my sandwiches. Great, I'll give them another chance. 2nd time same exact order and both sandwiches were missing the juices. Ok, not the worst. Finally, just now I received my delivery of the same two giants I've ordered in the past and wow, they were both made right. Only problem was that there was literally one fourth of the normal amount of meet in both sandwiches. I was not happy to say the least. I will not go back to this location again.

I've been a recent fan of Jersey Mike's Subs. I don't know. Like most I started eating at the franchise years ago when they popped but and was kind of on the fence but then with a few more recent visits to this location (which is closest to home), I'm coming around! Service here is efficient, it's a tiny place but they move em' in and get em' out considering everything is done to order and as you know, the meat is sliced "when" you order. They have a few tables inside and outside as well and parking is decent since it's on the North end of the Target. Keep up the good work, I'll keep coming in!

Walked inside thinking I was just gonna grab a burger, and next thing I know I'm wandering around looking at all the meats, marinades, sauces, chips, drinks, and sandwiches like I was about to host a backyard BBQ for the whole neighborhood. This place is dangerous if you like to cook. I asked the guy behind the counter what I should order because I wasn't trying to make a bad decision. Without hesitation he said, Aged Burger and the Philly.....Say less. We grabbed those and ordered the fries extra crispy because that's the only way fries should be eaten. Man... everything was hella good. The burger was juicy, the Philly hit the spot, and those extra crispy fries disappeared way faster than I want to admit.... They've got plenty of outdoor seating too, so we just kicked back, ate, and enjoyed the vibe. That said, I've noticed a few things lately that have made it a little harder to shop here, especially as the store seems to be getting busier and busier. The biggest challenge has honestly been the crowds. It feels like the popularity of the market has really grown, which is great to see, but it can make the experience a little overwhelming. I also think it may be worth considering a larger location at some point. Parking can be incredibly difficult, especially if you have a larger vehicle, and getting in and out can sometimes be a challenge. I also recently had an unfortunate experience with a few items I purchased. The girl who helped me at the register was very kind and bagged the majority of my items, but a couple of smaller items were left outside of the bag. I was in a rush and completely forgot to grab them before I left, even though I had already paid for everything. I realized it later and called the store to explain what happened. They were kind enough to put my name on a bag and hold the items for me, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, when I came back later that week to pick them up, the items couldn't be found. It seemed like there was some miscommunication between the staff, which was really disappointing because I had specifically called ahead and was told they would be held for me. I completely understand that things can get misplaced, especially in a busy store, but it was frustrating knowing that I had already paid for the items and had made a trip back specifically to retrieve them. I also didn't have my receipt anymore because I had assumed everything had been placed in my bag, which I realize was ultimately my mistake. It's definitely something I won't let happen again. What was disappointing was that, even though the staff remembered me coming in previously, the items ultimately weren't replaced or resolved. I understand that mistakes happen, but I think this could have been handled a little better. Even with these issues, I still genuinely love Seaside Market and want to see it continue to do well. I know that growing crowds and increased popularity can create challenges, but I do think there are opportunities to improve the overall customer experience, especially when it comes to parking, managing the crowds, and communication between team members. The prices have definitely been climbing, and with the store becoming busier, it's getting a little harder to visit than it used to be. Still, there's a reason I've been coming here for years, and I'll continue to support the market. I just hope they're able to find ways to make the experience a little easier as the business continues to grow.

We ordered a kids pot pie which the menu states comes with a side and beverage (chose mashed potatoes and milk) and a half sandwich and soup with a diet coke and a small black and white cookie to go. Food did come out promptly but we were overwhelmed with flies that it was unpleasant to eat in the dining room. Despite having fans on the table to try and keep them away, they were so plentiful and landed on us constantly that my 2 year old nephew was able to kill one just trying to shoo them away with a napkin! If this is what the dining room is like I can't imagine the kitchen situation. It was so unpleasant that we asked for boxes shortly after getting the food and just ate the soup in the restaurant. The food runner commented that my nephew was served an adult pot pie instead of a kids pot pie so I didn't say anything about his missing side (and he had decided he only wanted my soup anyways). When we got the bill I noticed that I had been charged for the kids milk (3.50 for a kids drink and then another 2.25 for milk so 5.75 total). When pointed out that it said drinks were ncluded in the kids menu she told me that actually weren't but did take it off my bill this time. Our total with tax and tip was over 50 dollars for a kids meal, half a chicken salad sandwich, soup, a cookie, and a single diet coke (no refill was offered and priced at 5.25 by itself). The high prices and unpleasant fly situation make me unlikely to return to Milton's in the future which is a shame since AI have enjoyed it in the past
